Just finished watching the "Moo Moo" episode. That was some damn good TV. A show that was direct about real-world issues without being preachy, that allowed characters to have different opinions on what the right course of action was (and not really choose sides), and managed to still be really funny without undercutting the serious reality or drama of the situation.
Also, they could not have picked a more perfect actor for the smarmy prejudiced cop role. He has "TV villain" written on his face.
They definitely have (there was one about a police PR campaign and how the police were basically trying to paper over the problems citizens had with them) but I think the difference is that this one was phenomenally better.
Also, where is Terry's character supposed to live? Those yards seemed pretty big for Flatbush, if that's the precinct he resides in (one south of Park Slope.)

I think this is the first time this show has dealt with racist cops, which is weird considering it's the NYPD.
