Iris's death doesn't effect what happens with the Thinker.
Why would Future Barry lose everything? Worst case scenario everything would get rewritten as necessary. He's always from the future and it's clear that his memory gets updated.
They found about his identity literally the next episode, so what are you even talking about lol
And him being forced to work together for a bit was awesome lol, it was the next step/evolution to when Slade showed up at Oliver's house. This villain who's ruining your life standing right in front of you, taunting you, but you can't just kill him right then and there.
People who wanted Iris to die clearly aren't considering how depressed this would make Barry, for who knows how long. One of the common criticisms against this season is how we're so damn sick of mopey Barry, that the show is a lot more fun when him and the team are in relatively good spirits. What do you think happens to his mood when his fiance dies after spending the entire season trying to save her lmao

Decent enough even with that obvious HR sacrifice, I hope the Speed Schwartz keeps Barry but unless there's some WB fuckery we know that isn't happening.
Arrow has already done enough fridging of women in the lead character's life, we don't need The Flash to start doing it too.

I did not see that ending coming... I hope barry isn't gone forever as I love Grant as Barry Allen. and as much as I like Kid Flash I don't think that the show would have the same charm... who knows though.

Same reason Cold Gun is supposed to shoot absolute zero (acts like generic laser sometimes and never kills anyone or turn a room into artic) and Heat wave is supposed to be absolute heat (even though that should destroy everything around them whenever he fires)
I mean, I much rather see Wally (and Jesse maybe?) at this point for a while myself. Dude's fun to be around compared to the perpetually mopey Barry nowadays:

The Flash is on par with Super Girl on being mediocre this season. I kept watching the latter out of habit and fell off with the former. Both shared the same habit of having their heroes be gluttons for punishment. I found the finale much better than Zoom's demise last season though and look forward to seeing a non-speedster villain.
Arrow and DC Legends of Tomorrow had a massive turn around in plot and quality writing so I hope the two aforementioned shows turn it around next season. Also, less Barry, more Wally and Jesse kicking ass for a while before Barry returns. We got a taste of it this season here and there but there's so much potential.

I find it difficult to swallow that this show used to be my favorite superhero TV show and one of my favorite superhero media ever in S1 and has deteriorated so much in the past 2 seasons.

God freaking dammit .. this show is absolute horseshit for killing H.R. I think it's safe to say the majority of people (here at least) would rather have had iris stay dead.
Not while there's a whole multiverse of Wells that use every season...
Killing Iris would've been lame. But then again, I wouldn't have done a whole season around her death to begin with.
Or not give her anything to do in general.

Iris dying changes everything and effects the stories and lives of Barry, Joe, and Wally for the worse. H.R. dying changes the character Tom Cavanagh is playing.
Congratulations to Tom Cavanagh for creating a character who people actually care enough about to be upset over. This means Tom and the writers did their job.

I'll politetly say screw the whole Iris should have died, while i agree the whole plot was pointless and dumb for a lot of reasons.
They still shouldn't kill Iris and she is my least favourite of the Flash team.

I know the answer is probably speedforce, but I was left baffeled at why Savitar doesn't kill Iris the moment he knows she didn't die. It's not like it matters that she dies at Infantino street, but it's the fact that it break Barry, so...
Also, I hate the fact that Savitar wrecked Barry and crew in the first part of the season, and now Barry just phased through his suit and... that's it.

It's speedforce and for some reason other than time wimey and speedforce he had to kill her on that date and since Barry wasn't driven to beat him he doesn't need savitar to exist and he is doing his whole dumb endgame in order to prevent himself from not existing
What about that episode where current Barrys memory was wiped and made Savitar a nonthreat to Iris.
It would have been a perfect time to end it that way and reset the show and get Patty back in and make Iris want Barry but Barry falls for Patty Allen West. Make it proper CW show, Love triangles.

No, the last thing we need is another Felicity.
Bring a new character or bring back Patty and write her differently. Iris is my least favorite character in the show, and her not being there anymore would be greeaaaaat as far as I'm concerned. An H.R and Wally spin off would have been great .. or if they're gonna send off Wally to the teen titans thing, H.R could have been there as that group's mentor/resident science guy etc etc.
There are so many better things that could have been done but the show-writers chose the most cliched way out.

Unless the Speedforce was changing time by making Barry come hang out, in which case the Speedforce is a big ol' hypocrite.
Also, LOL at Barry murdering every other villain, but the one time the villain turns out to be him he's all "wait, let's be nice to this guy."

Yeah, I was pretty surprised how nonchalantly she offed Black Flash. That's pretty dope.
He only killed HR and bunch of other ppl that i can't remember

That's so so stupid. So basically they could've kept Barry without memory for 48 hours or so, and get rid of Savitar that way.

Now that the she's still alive, let's see if they do next season. Though I very highly doubt it considering how this season's gone.
This is not ture at all, Barrys never killed any of his main villian in all three seasons. You can't find a worst hero then Barry Allen. He actually fails at being a villian too. He's a total failure as a hero and villian. I hope Kid Flash next seasons the real deal.
Yup, I immediately said out loud as Barry was saying good bye that you LITERALLY just saw the newspaper headline which means you'll be back. I am really starting to hate how the writers are hand waving away so many plot holes and not abiding by rules set forth when they started the show. There should be a giant white board in the writers room with all their time travel rules written on it in permanent marker.
They're treating their audience like morons and appear to have this "we can do no wrong" chip on their shoulders due to one great season of TV.

Barry wasn't removed from the timeline yet. I imagine they could go check again and the story would be different.
