Tiger Woods arrested for DUI

What a ridiculous post. Tiger isn't the first celebrity to get a stupid DUI and it doesn't mean his life is in shambles. It means he got a DUI.
I know. I am talking to that guy about the drinking not being a problem, but driving while drinking being the problem. I don't think his life is in some sort of shambles.

Right but Tiger isn't the first or the last celebrity to drive driunk for no reason. It almost never says anything about the celebrity other than they're a fucken moron.

I don't understand why these wealthy people are getting DUIs. If I was that wealthy I'd probably hire a private chauffeur just to drive me around even when I was sober.

not defending impaired driving in any way (i user uber even if i plan on drinking just a little) but getting popped with a DUI doesn't necessarily mean you're hammered. lots are just routine traffic stops and they can sniff out you've kicked back a couple at the bar or whatever

His game was deteriorating before the personal life stuff happened, to be honest. His game started declining when he switched swing coaches and fucked with near perfection.

Yep. Like Butch Harmon says, most players today play 'golf swing' and are obsessed with making changes when they aren't needed.

Can't see him making a comeback now, his body just doesn't seem to be able to cope with regular, competitive golf.

He's not a victim. He just wasted enormous potential.

You're exactly correct. He wasted it with terrible life choices. I don't attribute all the injuries to being his fault (he bears some responsibility), but everything else is him being a moron.

Tons of natural talent. Tons of hard work to accomplish what he did. Colossal fuck up over the past decade or so.

This is such a common charge in a society that accepts alcohol consumption but can't seem to make the connection that it causes these type of dumb decisions like driving. I am always surprised when someone with his resources has this type of thing happen, but again, it effects decision making and motor skills.

Outside of this how has he been a fuck up over the last decade?

He liked Pussy....The vast majority of men in his situation would do the exact same thing. He was a child prodigy who managed the escape the normal burnout long enough to have some success as an adult.

I just remember Tiger making it cool to wear golf clothes outside of golfing. It's illegal how comfortable golf clothes are.
Like the male equivalent of women's active wear.

looking at that mugshot and at his eyes, he looks dead inside. Kind of feel bad but he got himself in the position he is in

Tch...I don't have any sympathy for drunk drivers.
Just a few nights ago I was rear-ended by one. The piece of crap sped off before I could get so much as a name.

Woods is well on his way to being remembered more for his fall than his time as the most dominant golfer out there.

Serious question, can a man ever stop being a womanizer? Or are they like that their whole life?

If the man is worth the money hes worth and has top model women literally throwing themselves at him every day everywhere he goes, it would be incredibly difficult.

Most men dont have that happen to them on that level.

It's Memorial Day in the US. Might have triggered some feelings about his dad or some other traumatic stuff.

Considering his achievements, I don't think you can say he "wasted" much of anything.

His goal was to beat the record the Jack Nicklaus set. Which would've made him unquestionably the best golfer ever. Most people the followed golf felt that it was more about how many he'd win, not if he could beat Jack. He not only will not do that, he'll never win another major again in golf. So, from that perspective it is wasted potential. The guy hasn't won a major since 2008 and his body is now wrecked to the point that he's having repeated surgeries.

Some of you guys are out of your minds.

He is still worth $600,000,000. Getting a DUI isn't ruining his life nor was his life ruined to begin with.

Right but his initial injuries are not really his fault. Back issues stay with you forever, i have some and i know. You can feel amazing for months then out of the blue you cant move anymore. Plus in his sport, his back in pretty crucial.

The guy wasnt just good, he dominated the sport for more than a decade and will still go down in history as one of the best ever. Nothing is wasted there. Injuries are luck of the draw. Youre either injury prone or youre not. His back unfortunately was.

Wow. I am literally blown away by this. I work in the golf industry and this is really just a huge shame and another blow. Pay for a fucking cab.

Tiger has made terrible choices. He may not be a nice person.

But we should remind ourselves addiction is a disease—and I think Tiger probably is dealing with mental health issues.

Those two scenarios aren't mutually exclusive.

You have to remember he was a pioneer. Remember the Biggie video? Black man dominates golf. He was a role model. He could have been the best ever in a sport that traditionally closed their door to people like him.
