Street Fighter V |OTVIII| New Delayed Generation - Controversial Inputs

It's Marvel
They can have 7k posts for months over nothing so imagine getting news
Especially when it's not positive news

Yo that's true.

I guess I don't really give a shit who gets in as long as the game is fun. I want more characters, but at the same time, whatever, just make a good fighting game. Like, at least this thing is coming with the standard modes and even a story mode.

I get having a few less characters than MVC3 is bullshit, especially with reused animations and such, but man dudes in there are going nuclear.

MvCI could be fine, sure, but "huge roster" was what everyone was hoping for to justify the look of the game and potential gameplay issues.

It's no surprise, really, when you just see how the game actually looks. Hopefully the fighting itself is good, but it seems MvC:I's launch is gonna be a mess with missed potential. Yet again.

It is a surprised because they'll be willingly sending this game out to die. No way I think this is real

It seems a sad state of resources that they couldn't even update trails for S2 until 6 months in. Seems that'd be an aspect character rebalancing.

I suppose they could've decided early on that S2 needed patching.

The alternative is to take them out and remove a source of fight money for everyone who hasn't completed them or bought the game yet. That would be the worse option, I'd wager.

I assumed they would only reward me for doing Ryu's trials once, whether S1 or S2. Seems more desirable than the carrot of doing outdated trials just for FM.

Not sure what people were expecting from a fighting game that launches 9 months after its initial reveal. Capcom is still in rush job mode.

They kept V1 trials in for a version of the game that'll never exist again?
Well, they still give fight money, so in that regard it makes sense to keep them. Ideally though they would have been patched to reflect S2(.5) changes.

I wonder what Cammy's S2 trials be like. She got a couple new combos but it's not like she changed all THAT much between S1 and S2 compared to other folks.

Let's be honest here. Capcom is making every fighting game on the cheap nowadays. It looks like they're taking assets from other properties, slapping it in there and calling it a day. The visuals look bland and uninspired as well.

28 characters, at launch, is a "HUGE ROSTER" compared to SFV, but it's still not what people were hoping for. The Marvel side seems like it will be terrible.

Ah. I assumed they would give new rewards for new trials. I guess if you see trials as an actual teaching tool, then your perspective makes sense. I usually just do trials for fun and learn nothing!

Six months is quick for Capcom.
It took them much, much longer to update the trials in SFIV. AE never got updated trials.

28 sounds fine really, seems ryce is moreso crying about the actual picks and not the size.
So people are in uproar about something that is literally subjective lmao.

Man if all that MvCI info turns out to be true it'll be really disappointing. I was expecting a 38-40 base roster + DLC, as well as several newcomers and returning characters. Hopefully they at least fix the graphics so it looks less like generic mobile stuff. Gonna keep expectations in check, even though I'll probably buy it anyway since I'm sure several people over here will play it. It's Mahvel after all.

Fair point about the look.

But gameplay issues? All of the new shit sounds dope.

To be fair I don't care about the two button supers or any of the other shit that makes the game easier for casuals to induce epileptic seizures. The loss of assists is a bummer as that feels like Marvel at its core to me but I'm pretty open to these changes (especially the free form tagging). But with all FG franchises that simplify their gameplay there's a backlash. We'll just have to see if this simplification only affects the skill floor (SF4) or also impacts the skill ceiling (SFV).

14 Capcom slots doesn't leave a lot of room for Gene, especially when half of those are accounted for. That's all I really care about as far as picks go.

Are you serious? MvCI will be eviscerated on all sides before it's even released. It doesn't matter if it's ok with you, what does matter is that it'll have less character's that it's predecessor, less content than it's peers, and show to potential buyers that Capcom hasn't stepped up after the disaster that was SFV.

Yes I'm serious. Why wouldn't I be?
It's a 2v2 game, why does it need to have the same roster size as if it's a 3v3 game?
XvSF had 17 characters 2v2
MSH had 17 characters 2v2
MvC had 15 characters 2v2

The giant roster didn't become a thing until they went 3v3 with mvc2.
34 characters for its 1st year seems absolutely fine yes.

The next female DLC character appears in Ed's character story. She looks Egyptian.

You think that matters when ij2 is 1v1 with more characters? Ok the niche vs series fans can look past it, congrats on your 10k sales. additionally it'll have less sp content than it's peers, additionally it looks like shit, additionally the returning characters have a ton of reused assets. Do you not see how the lack of shit hurt SFV? Capcom doesn't have the benefit of the doubt anymore, press and public are going to obliterate MVCI if this is true. So No, it's not fine. Well for capcom anyway

People are invested in mahvel.

No Black Panther was the last straw for me. I got enough games to play right now anyway.

Has she been confirmed to be an antagonist, or is that just what you would like to see?
Because I would be up for that, too.

All I know is the picture; I'm just saying I would be all for it.

It's been torturous having no money to spare recently. My birthday is this week so it's catch-up time :D preordered Tekken 7 Deluxe, grabbing GGRev2 upgrade tomorrow, and working on the SFV dlc backlog. So pumped
