Please no more Marvel universe crossovers, shild academy, kid Nova, whatever shhit they churn out. I tune in Spiderman, I want to watch Spiderman, period.

The animation looked fluid and great, but the backgrounds look pretty lifeless. I'm having a hard time figuring out if this is worse or better than Avengers, Ultimate Spidey and Beware the Batman having completely empty streets for no reason.

This is supposed to be written by the guys who did the Lego Movie, right? Or is this by Man of Action too?

I'm not really wowed by it, seems okay...seems like there are more spidey cartoon reboots than the actual movie franchise (going back to spidey's teen days).

Its already been confirmed he'll be teaming up with Spider-Gwen & Miles Morales if that counts.

Well... there's a way to do cartoons right and a way to do them wrong. You can appeal to a young adult audience even with a high school setting IF it isnt cheesy.

I think his point is that, no longer being a young adult, he's outgrown the young adult audience.

I agree that the backgrounds are pretty rough, but that can improve over time. The animation and character design looks great.
I'll definitely watch this.

That cartoon was ass. We didn't know any better at the time.
Wrong. They toned rhe action down for kids, but the supporting cast was superb.

Plus it's the only incarnation to have the balls to push Peter through college and married life.

I'm sorry, I'm gonna need specific instances of the show shitting itself or bad characterization. It recycled footage I guess.

The Secret Wars didn't vomit every Marvel character onto the screen, just the ones who had TV shows at the time.

I knew this would be awful. Insomniac are quite literally my only hope for a non-cringe Spiderman experience right now.

Either that or I've officially out-grown the character. I simply don't understand why they are doubling down so hard on his teenage appearance and experiences in their media.

Best wishes.

I have to agree. I enjoy the fuck out of Amazing Spider-Man every month but this tv show and the Homecoming movie do nothing for me. Let Miles be the teenage Spidey and leave Peter grown for god's sake.

Seems kind of vapid like those CW cartoons for MIB or Xtreme Ghostbusters. Bunch of gags.

Who is that VA for Spide? Doesn't seem like Yuri or JAT, but related to those two.

What a shame. Their humor is usually cringe.

...where's Peter's shadow when he's standing in front of the subway entrance? He's outside in broad daylight and there is literally no shadow underneath him.

Parts of the fight look pretty good but then everything else just looks flat. I don't understand how nearly all of Disney's Marvel cartoons suffer from stiff/awful animation and/or art.

It looks ... Spectacular

edit : oh there is a video
DEAR GOD that is some bad animation I take it ALL back

I mean... it looks better than Ultimate Spidey, but anything would.

It looks less like cheap garbo than the recent Marvel shows like the new Hulk show. Do they actually have a budget this time?

God, people here are really behind it's sad. Not saying current Marvel animated stuff is OMG AMAZING or anything but they've come a long long LONG way since then.

The backgrounds are easily the weakest part.

They're really lacking in a sense of depth. Spiderman doesn't look like he actually exists in them.
