Or Nobunaga's Ambition x Pokemon.

...nah, nobody would be crazy enough to make that.

I really enjoyed Conquest to be honest with you until I beat the first route and the game expected me to do the same thing 15 times to get to the true route. I'd be up for a sequel.

Stars coming out later this year is no issue even if it looks too crowded. Pokémon and Mario are likely evergreen titles and Stars will likely sell until the next mainline Pokémon comes out. Nintendo just probably want to ensure that the value proposition of the Switch is really good coming into its first holiday.

Damn, I hope it's stars or D/P remake for the switch. Would make the Switch's first year the best first year for a console for me.

Well, the switch is my first console I bought in the release year, so it'd be the best/worst anyways.

Honestly for as exciting as the prospect of Pokémon on Switch is, I don't think the real bump in presentation and change in conventions/formula due to the system power and hybrid nature will happen until gen 8, and the prospect of a gen 7 port and a gen 4 remake pushing the ground up Switch game out for multiple years kind of already has me bummed.

im trying to look at it as an alternative to just having nothing for multiple years until gen 8

I really enjoyed Pokemon Conquest until I realized that you could just use one team for an entire scenario and they'd end up being so overpowered that you could just steamroll everything without any degree of thought, and how developing your towns have like zero depth.

They made the Koei strategy game formula more approachable, which is nice, but they also took out everything that was good about Koei strategy games.

Yeah Pokémon and Mario are two series that are likely immune to overcrowding concerns, even with respect to each other. Most people who want to play them both will buy them both, at or soon after release. The only thing that might limit their sales in the early going is Switch stock, not each other.

Pokken Switch actually sounds pretty possible. The FE steam did have several games, no reason the Pokemon one can't.

I'd imagine they would save the Stars announcement for E3? Idk

Besides the reasons already mentioned, CoroCoro will very likely talk about the games in their next magazine, which will leak on June 11th/12th. Nintendo's E3 Spotlight is June 13th.
