Conference was okay. The only 2 games that really excited me were Assassin's Creed and that Dragon Ball fighting game. It was hard not to notice that Microsoft pretty much had no real surprises. It feels to me like they stuff their conference full of timed exclusives to try to distract us from that fact but to me it only made it more obvious.

Hmmmmm very mixed on that. Some good games shown but that price...... and the bigger questions will be how much of a difference will PS4 Pro games look in comparison ? Looking at that, I don't think the difference will be massive.
Also not much talk about 60fps, so guess that dream is dead, although not totally surprised by that.
Antham looks fucking amazing but kinda feels like a downgrade will be coming.
Will see what Sony and Nintendo bring now.

Format of the xbox conference was great this year but the software was all 3rd party so I don't see how this is going to sell me on a xbox one X.
I give it a 5/10 they need to show better and more first party software and exclusive games for me to care about xbox at this point.

Not way too much emphasis, but yes the ten minutes of Forza always suck and Mordor was an awful choice for the closing moments.

I don't own an Xbox but these are the games that make me want one.
NOTHING shown convinced me that Xbox One X is worth the asking price, or even it's existence.

$499 for a new piece of hardware with no good reasons to buy it.
Microsoft going all-in with the Specs after the OG PS4 "won" in that regard against the OG one without showing a single "Megaton"-Exclusive-Title reminds me of DC brute-forcing their way into a cinematic Universe because it worked for Marvel while ignoring what actually made it succesful to begin with.
For some who said, "There are no real exclusives" clearly missed a few things. Yeah, there are some that won't be "Console exclusive" but there were still plenty to be had. Meanwhile, with what was shown, there were definitely a few games that caught people's attention in one way or another. It isn't an A, but it is a definitely B. Score wise, I'll say 7.5. A good lineup, but I'll admit that with what I have right now, I have no need to update to the X1X anytime soon.
There have been far worse conferences in the past and EA was still painful to watch. It does seem like that they were willing to take the hit though just for the sake of getting the top card in Microsoft's conference.

Considering it was a show tailored to Scorpio: 2/10 at best. I haven't seen a single incentive to make anyone pick the Scorpio over a PS4 Pro.

Well I'll give MS what I gave EA. 2/10 conference. That 2 is only for the Xbox 1 Backward compatibility and Crackdown 3. Other then that not a damn thing I found worth a shit.

My personal takeaway, it's pretty sad that the first thing that actually made me interested in buying the XBX was 15 year old OG games. Otherwise, anything xbox-centric that I want to play like Forza 7 or Ori I'll just enjoy on my PC. Basically, I'll just grab a PS4-Pro and throw a 1080 in my PC, and I'm good.

I'd give the conference a 5/10. The typical Xbox problem of no exclusive games I really want. There were some really good games but most are on windows 10 too or cross platform.

Man, E3 conferences where new consoles are shown are usually the best, this one was extremely disappointing and we won't get new consoles for at least a couple of years

Not that they can't achieve the visuals - Anthem shows that - but that it was way too scripted and bespoke in effects, reactions and animations to really speak for gameplay.

I think the price for the X is too high and the constant 'exclusive' voice was annoying but other than that I think they showed different kinds of games that can interest different kinds of people. Good job MS. The Forza segment with Porsche made me mute the stream for a while though...

Anthem looks fucking awesome, but yeah, up there as one of the worst conferences, content wise, that I have seen. But it was all about the games which was good, but they didn't have any heavy hitter other than Anthem and even then, it was 3rd party.

I'm getting it. I have a 4k TV and I've been saving $20 a week since the start of the year. By the time November comes I will have enough to get Xbox and a couple of launch games and give my One S to my son.

My guess would be : they shut down most of their studios, aren't opening enough new ones (even if they are it'll take time for them to become productive), and aren't ready to commit the large amount of money it would take to get a good third party game truly exclusive (which is almost certainly more then it'd have used to be given how big steam is).

Well now we know why nothing leaked, there were no studios guarding a new IP. I was so ready to buy an Xbox One but I just can't justify it now to play Halo 5 again. And I really thought that Microsoft was getting better every E3 and usually enjoy them way more than Sony
