I'm shocked that Forza 7 and Ori 2 were legit the only first party exclusives announced. It really could have used one extra big new one.

You do not hype this show for over a year (!!!) and dump the exact same old shit on us

Oh wait, it's the Xbox division

Not as bad as Mattrick but still

As an owner of a PS4 Pro and a PC with a 1080 TI, I see absolutely no reason to get an Xbox One X.... Can't wait for Ori, Metro, and Anthem. I hope Ori and Metro aren't limited to the Windows store. And since Destiny 2 PC is being delayed to try to get people to double dip, I think I'll just wait for Anthem instead lol.

How many Japanese games were in this thing? Only 2?
Very hard to get me excited like that.

This is my biggest issue with the xbox brand why not atleast get Japanese games for the west atleast sure xbox sells like crap in asia but get Japanese devs to bring their games to the west.

I like what I saw I own every system so no disappointment here. I planned for a $499 system so I wasn't shocked for what it is. I payed $399 for my Pro and honestly it isn't worth $399. But it isn't bad either. Fact is it'll be the place for best version of 3rd parties so I'm satisfied and it looks fantastic.

Till a better system comes along it'll be my main system and my Pro will be Sony exclusives only. Original Xbox games is dope I love crimson skies and my old Xbox systems are getting old and less reliable so that is a welcome addition.

No Halo or Gears is just strange to me. A semi new console and you don't show you leading franchises is a mistake.

5/10 disappointing doesn't even begin to describe what i just saw.
They are trying to diversify, considering all the shitposting of nothing but Forza, Gears and Halo I'm surprised by the reaction!

The big exclusive of MS left was Crackdown 3 and even that they managed to look downgraded and meh.

Looks like this game was too much for even the cloud.

I don't believe that Metro footage.

Not that they can't achieve the visuals - Anthem shows that - but that it was way too scripted and bespoke in effects, reactions and animations to really speak for gameplay.

Will keep an eye on it, but I expect a downgrade.
yeah, looked more like a target render using the game's engine rather than gameplay. there were a lot of obviously scripted moments but even during the parts where it was less obvious the camera was moving way too unnaturally for it be controlled by either a joystick or a mouse.

Extremely weak conference. I knew MS would underwhelm with very little to offer but it was even worse than I was expecting. Ending on a multiplat title says it all, really.

Ok cool they made it seem like we would know after the show.

See my edit (though the thread's still moving very fast) - they've announced the contents now: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-setup/Xbox-E3-MixPot-faq

Obviously, not everyone is going to do that. I mean, I am, because my 1440p/144hz monitor is sexy as shit, but not everybody. I don't think that's a valid criticism because it's not an apples to apples comparison. Console gamers still like their consoles.

The only objective reason for having a console is exclusives.

Press conference itself was great. Many great games were shown like Anthem, Ori, Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3 and so on.

It's just that I can play all of them on my PS4 and my Windows Desktop PC. No reason to buy a One X, I'd just upgrade my PC instead.

Could you please list the amount of new exclusives shown for the people who missed them?

I'm not interested in getting into a list wars with people who are already convinced. People don't consider windows 10/xbox exclusives true exclusives. So why bother?

Really can't wait to see how Sony answers this. They've easily won E3 for years now, but this is going to be a tough one to beat.

what was up with the graphic at the end with Phil mentioning people get 4K updates for Gears4 and two other games? does this mean they're going to some how charge for updates?

He did follow it up with 30 more games getting free graphical upgrades but it was certainly implied that for some games it may not be free.

This sums up perfectly how I feel at the moment.

Can't imagine paying over $600 for an Xbox One X in Canada...not that I was going to anyways.

Very interested to see what framerates are like with the GTX1080/1080 TI with these 4K games, Volta is looking good for me at the moment.

Ori was amazing.
Metro was a HUGE disappointment (scripted, non-gameplay trailer with colourful environments and action oriented gameplay plus that ugly ass music)
Anthem looks amazing graphics and world design wise, but lacking in gameplay department and co-op? really???
The rest was crap except like 2-3 indie games.
They tried to make it more like Sony's 2016 E3, which is a great thing - but, the demos for Shadow of War and AC and Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 were all really boring, janky and bad and took wayyyyyy too long. I won't even talk about the cringefest that was Terry Crews in Crackdown 3 and the weird battle royal overwatch game with the announcer.
Also, every fucking game - "exclusive" "launch window exclusive" but all of them are coming to PC, so what the hell lmao. I thought they'll atleast make some exclusives this time around...

Oh, and good for them for showing so much indie.

Not a terrible conference but definitely underwhelming. The only games that interested me were all indie titles: Ori, Ashen, and Cuphead.

Man some of you are impossible to please. It was a bit of a drag in the beginning but afterwards it was game after game shown. A shit ton of games shown with a nice mix of exclusives, timed exclusives, and multiplatform. We wanted games and they showed games.

This was their best show of the generation so far IMO.
It comes down to how you look at it. If you're just evaluating it as an Xbox customer it was overall ok if not amazing. If you're evaluating it competitively (I.e. what exclusives and unique games/services were shown or price points revealed that would be competitive vs Sony/Nintendo) then it was damn weak.

Probably the most disappointing Xbox E3 I've seen.

Only two games interested me and that was Forza 7 and Sea of Thieves. Everything else was meh. And I'm not really sold on an Xbox One X.

6/10 for me, it was all about games which is great just nothing sold me on upgrading and I was ready to drop the cash, maybe view will change overtime but just didn't excite me and I hate that.

I watched some, fell asleep some and I must say this was kinda boring. Some decent reveals, but overall not that good of a presentation.
