Saw it this morning. Thoughts.
-I really like that they did not mess with WW's origin. I was hoping they wouldn't change her being "created" by clay and basically made the last God from Zeus.
-Taking the fish out of water approach to humanize WW was very well done. Great humor in those scenes. When she was trying on clothes, I got a pretty good kick out of that whole part.
-The battle at No Man's Land is by far my favorite part of the movie. I've always dreamed of seeing WW finally on the big screen, and this whole scene pretty much made my dream come true. Awesome action.
-Villain left much to be desired, but for an origin, that seems to be par for the course on superhero movies in general anymore.
-I would have liked to have seen a little more tie-in to current DCEU landscape beyond the photo that Bruce sent. I know we got some level of explanation on BvS, but I would have like to have seen the footage of MoS and the Zod fight, maybe her debating on intervening, or realizing that there are Gods among men again that initially drew her back out to the fold.
Overall, it is by far the best DCEU movie yet. I enjoyed MoS and BvS, but I also understand that people wanted a little more light hardheartedness and a semblance of hope. WW gave that many times over, so hopefully we'll see this a little more going forward.
