Overwatch |OT10| That'll do pig, that'll do

I love DM. There are few things more satisfying than hearing a Hanzo start shouting and speeding towards him and then no dragons. The rest of your team looks around and smiles wryly.

They need to add some voice lines for when you catch an ult, I usually end up looking around in a panic after eating a gravaton to check if I actually caught it.

Well, reflect is, since it not only negates the ult, it throws it back at them.

But other than that, yeah, I love shutting down ults. Soldier's, Reapers, Mei's, Zarya's.

You can imagine D.Va giving a smirk when she does it. If she doesn't, Blizzard should patch that in, even if basically no one can ever see it.

As a solo queuing player I'm thinking of ignoring Competitive and just chilling in QP/Arcade 100% of the time for my Overwatch fun.

Comp is too serious and tense, and a huge amount of people are extremely mean and toxic to teammates and opponents, it's just sucking the joy out of a game I absolutely love, it bums me out even when I win and do well.

I went in there looking for better team compositions and teamwork, but at my Gold level it's just the same or worse in those aspects as in QP, except now those people in Competitive are extremely rude over voice/text chat (always passing the blame to others without a hint of constructive criticism, polite requests or useful pointers), while in QP at least are quiet and don't bother.

The best part of the PTR patch is not being kicked out of the practice range while changing your settings.

So just had my placement matches after playing the game for about a week and im not surprised at my rank considering most of the teams i played with were in shambles. What rank did you guys start out at at your first season?

Yes, this is exactly what I would do.

I say give it some more time for things to shake out in the community at large. With accuracy Hog can still hook & 1-shot a lot of the cast, and getting hooked still feels as awesome as it does when you get flashbanged, trapped or scatter arrow'd.

Fuck Roadhog, basically :D

If all 4 of those things regularly happen to you, you need to be more careful while playing.

Except Scattershot, just because I hate RNG. That skill needs a remake.

Scatter arrows should just be poisonous. Same damage but its damage over time, or maybe even more overall damage?, something real fast like an Ana shot. Take away their headshot ability (they're just poison darts doesn't matter where they hit) and the damage doesn't stack, if you're poisoned you're poisoned, no more one shotting Orisas.

Or Zarya ( ._.)

If i save boxes that i get right now it won't work for when they roll out the loot box changes will it. Do we know this?

I don't mind the idea, but Hanzo's whole schtick is burst damage.

Then again, so was Hog's...

Muahahahahahaaaah!

When I deal with D.Va (as Zarya), I blow up her mech before using my ultimate.

It's common sense, really. Especially with how fragile it is.

Yup, only sucks when she flies right in from spawn at end of payload and eats it as you shoot it

Maybe Poison Arrow could reduce healing. I think we should have at least 3 characters with anti-healing in the game if it's going to be a thing at all.

If it's that easy you aren't playing a good D.VA or her healers are bad. Also if you hold grav too long you might lose the fight.

Waiting until you blow up the mech is safer for making sure your gravs land, but riskier for your team winning the fight.

D.Va's mech is still squishy, though. Even if I fail to fully destroy it, the additional DPS will finish her off and no amount of healing from Mercy (or whatever Support combo) can keep her afloat.

And not that I hoard her ultimate, but I make sure to get the most value out of it instead of firing it sporadically. I usually combo it with the Pharah, D.Va, or Hanzo that's on our team.

I find it more efficient to be crafty with using her ult instead. By this I mean flanking with Zarya and popping it from behind or throwing it on a wall outside of D.Va's LOS.

Yeah, I get to that point every season. So far I've quit early enough on to be excited when the next season rolls around.

PS- your avatar photo game is on point, one of my favorite photos of one of my favorite people.

I've always liked the idea of the initial group of arrows doing less damage (maybe half) but then if the arrows continue to bounce they do more and more damage. This would make it less of a crazy one-shot for tanks and also make it much more dangerous in enclosed spaces, which I always thought was it's actual purpose.

I hope they use this as an opportunity to make Mei better, since she has the design (but not the numbers) to be a real nuisance for dive. Her being good is a route I can see them taking to encourage more comp diversity.

Also lol at Hog being anything other than a decent character on a very long decline that has now been nerfed to the bottom. If you're dying to a lot of Hook 2.0 hooks, you should be thankful for the enemy Hog player expediting your inevitable death due to poor positoning.

Hope you like Winston.

I would be most worried about my team's squishies getting picked off and losing the team fight before I ult because I'm busy 1v1ing a dva, regardless of who is favored in that 1v1.

Sometimes I question if I'm a good Mercy when I get bad reses but then I push the thought out of my head and blame my teammates.

I would just mute voice and chat in menus. I do that sometimes when I just don't want to deal with other people.

I hate when my team mates question why I solo res

Why don't you pick a healer next time then asshole but no you love your fucking dps ffs

Shouldn't need to res if you're healing and topping them off. ;)

I think I do a great job healing/moving around in the common fights but then when the ult barrage hits I'm either hiding for the res, dying to a flanking soldier/mccree who ults, or ending up with a bad res where the team was spilt apart.

Had one of the worst sessions in Overwatch just now with Yager in a duo stack. Randoms completely killed it for us. Between a crappy attack Widow on Kings Row who didn't contribute at all, another crappy attack Widow on Hanamura, despite us only needing 33% for the win.

A shitty junkrat on Volskaya who still doesn't switch in overtime on defence, despite only needing to defend for one minute and yes of course he gets picked off straight away.

Our only win today was thanks to a crazy Torb player in Nepal, stayed Torb for the whole game and ended up MVP with 80% kp, that's nuts. Even worse is I only got 16 SR for it but loss an average of 25 for each game we didn't win.

Like I said, crappy night. I've dropped nearly 100 SR since Monday and it's some of the randoms really making games harder than they need to be. Yeah some games you just get outplayed but winnable games quickly become losses when players don't pull their weight. To get two attack Widows in a row is also just unfair, I never see that shit when it's our turn to defend. Fuck randoms tonight. Rant over

This is a good idea. I'll keep it in mind in the future. Thanks. :3

?

I won't leave my teammates hanging. An enemy D.Va or Winston will be a priority for me (especially when they are harassing the Support Heroes), but I won't ignore my teammates or let them die if a Reaper, a Pharah, or something else is hunting them down. Especially the Support Heroes, as they have the most taskless job in the team.

Sombra is so much fun when you get into her flow and harass the shit out of every red support going in and out of their backline. That "hack complete" sound effect is sooo satisfying.

I'm thinking of trying this too. Could really suck to end up ignoring the nice people out there going for strategies or trying to tell me stuff though. :(

I guess I could just mute everything the second I notice toxicity and re-enable it for the next match.
