...of course Mark Millar is still writing comics. Because all Hollywood has to do is scrape off most of the horrifying parts of his comics and make them into blockbusters. He's the Michael Crichton of comic book writers.

I think the human race is capable of doing just that, I read fiction posing those questions.

I don't think we are so evolve that this won't happen. Sure technology like this could cure my Sickle Cell and many other disease. But it can be weaponized easily too as well earn more about the genome.

I could see a place like Iran doing it, I could see Saudi Arabia doing it. I could see it being done to Africans using the one drop rule would wipe out billions. It is super scary stuff.

the hypothetical fear was that genomic weapons would be used in the Israeli Palestine thing, "solving" the issue one way or another.

we have the tech to do it right now. but probably not good enough to keep it from mutating and killing everyone else by mistake.

LOL, I read a lot of Crichton books in high school, they were paper thin but almost always close to 500 pages.
