Shooting is still not an issue for them. They still have 3 guys on their team that can hit open jump shots consistently. Wiggins is like only 21 as well and has an upward trend on his shooting his entire career.

I don't see that being a super issue fopr them when they have a much more pressing need in getting a good PG and getting a rim protector. Hell, the Rim Protector is probably the most important position to fill (If im the Wolves, i might consider maxing Noel if I have the cap space)

Maybe it won't be, but at this point I'd rather lean on existing data and statistics than hypotheticals. Also someone being young doesn't mean they are automatically going to become better shooters, or better at anything really (see Gay, Rudy). People act like those are automatics.

Twolves are tryna get George Hill to replace pretty tricky ricky so....
You're plugged into the Twolves. How bad do they want to get rid of Rubio? Jazz have $15 million of free cap space they have to use before July 1st. They can take on salary without giving equal salary back until then.

If he's a salary dump we got you. Or are they looking for something significant in return?

If they can find a PG in Ricky's price range who is as good defensively as Ricky and a better shooter? Sure. Paying $20 million to fucking George Hill and getting nothing for Ricky would be pretty awful. Ricky is better at catch & shoot 3s than off the bounce, and he's great at getting to the line. He's decently efficient. And if the growth he made last season carries over they'll be fine with Ricky. He's really good. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Beverely is a good player, but he cant be the primary ballhandler on the team. He's more of a 3 & D PG. Kyle Anderson is a bad contract not worth taking.

Yes, 3 & D guards who can handle the ball are really easy to get now

Beverly can bring the ball up the floor for a team just fine. When they get into the half court he would pass it to Butler, Wiggins or Towns to run the offense. He would have the same offensive role he has in Houston except with the added duty of dribbling the ball up the floor. Don't see how that's a problem. And I'm assuming you're referring to Ryan Anderson, not Kyle Anderson. Yes he's on a bad contract, but he is still a useful player especially on the offensive end of the floor. And Beverly is on a great contract so those two contracts would even out a bit.

Wiggins has shot much better then the previous year. Generally players get better at shooting the older they get until they hit their peak (around 25 is the average)

There's an upward trend brewing, and yes, while it can happen that they just dont progress at all, those arent proof that either is going to happen. I'd rather go with the "most players progress" then "Did You forget about these 2 Guys that didnt!" because you're basically banking on something that is statistically a farce

I want Noel and Taj Gibson next to KAT

He's on the trade block every year because despite his great passing, IQ, and defense, he can't score. Tryna relagate him to a bench role, but I honestly believe he's a starter in this league. He's 26 and been in the league since like 2011, he ain't ever gonna find a shot but yeah he's probably gone soon.

They really need to develop a bench unit, so many times they would be winning games but third quarter comes and the bench just gave it all up

Imma miss the presence of Pekovic despite him not playing in three/four years tho

Rubio is a really good trank commander. he's good enough to justify starting him, but he ends up being a net negative on any team

Breh imagine a team with Okafor and Rubio coached by Byron Scott

Thibs is going to go right back to playing Butler 40+ minutes a game, isn't he? Between him and Ricky, they're gonna be a couple of 27s looking like 33s at the end of the year.

That'd be the first team to not even attempt a 3 pointer in decades.

I'm reading that there are talks of a Danny Green / Jahlil Okafor and Nike Stauskas trade. Not sure if that's a good trade. Don't follow the Sixers, so I have no clue about these players.

Okafor was literally one of the worst basketball players of all time the past 2 years because he is incapable of A. Defending and B. Rebounding. Dude has been in probably the worst situation possible though and was still one of the best iso scorers last year. If he can learn to defend the Pick And Roll at all, he'll become a pretty decent player

Nik Stauskas's 1st two seasons were also some of the worst in NBA history. He couldnt shoot, defend, or do really anything. He got traded to Philly for literally nothing and kind of resurrected his career. He's developed into a decent driver, and can shoot the ball much better (He was an average shooter last year)

The Spurs trade for Okafor and send him to Tim Duncan for the summer. Timmy trains him in Basketball and DnD.

I actually really like Jah under the tutelage of a Pau Gasol. Dude has been in one of the worst situations you can imagine, and took the ire of the Philly fan base because he plays like he's out of shape.

I want him to go to pop, and see if pop can fix him, dude has been nothing but professional while in Philly, and like I said earlier, he's still one of the best iso scorers in the league.

Dude fucking punched a Celtics fan, how can you not like him?

The reason why Jackson cancelled his workout for the Celtics in Sacramento (which pissed off Danny for flying all the way there) is because the Suns GM (former Celtics personal) told him to. Jackson's agent and Suns GM made sure to not let Jackson workout for the Celtics.

A reporter asked McDonough if Phoenix may have encouraged Jackson to cancel his workout with the Celtics who were flying into Sacramento, Calif. to watch Jackson workout only for it to be canceled after they had departed which as you can imagine, did not go over well with Danny Ainge, Boston's president of basketball operations.

“I’d like to consult my attorney B.J. Armstrong (Jackson’s agent),” McDonough said, smiling.

The more McDonough talked, the clearer it became that he and Armstrong were in cahoots to do all they could to get Boston to pass on Jackson at No. 3 which as McDonough mentioned, doesn’t break any rules.

“You guys all know my history with the Celtics and the respect I have for Danny Ainge and the organization,” McDonough told reporters on Friday. “But I think you guys who know me well know how competitive I am. Look, it is a competition. The Celtics were ahead of us at No. 3 and they could have selected whoever they wanted to. I think they got a very good player in Jayson Tatum, but that doesn’t mean B.J. and I and … other members of my staff couldn’t talk and try to formulate the best plan to get a player we were really high on to a place we felt he really wanted to go and would be a great fit for him.”

No. Boston is a great destination and team. Every player wants to go there. Especially if they can do so while losing out on $30 million dollars.

I was hypothesizing earlier that if anyone can fix Jah's weaknesses

it's Pop or him in a Warriors system

idk how but I feel like it would just happen and he'd go from whatever the fuck he is now, to the best scoring big in the league with some defense

If that happened in the NFL, Phoenix would have lost their draft picks for the next decade.

Handshake agreements have been going on in the NBA for like the last 20 years lol.

Jonathan Isaac's first interview after getting drafted he flat out said he was under the assumption the Suns were going to draft him, he literally didn't work out for any team AFTER the 4 slot. So he definitely got played by their FO.
