Sooo now that the dust has settled a bit... 4:44 best rap album of the year? Too early to tell maybe.

I know there will be people saying DAMN >>>

But the history of 4:44 and it being the final chapter of the Elevator Trilogy (Beyonce/Solange/Jay) adds to the story of the album IMO

Also Jay's quintuple entendres have been missing from the rap game

Most likely 4:44 is album of the year unless Nas drops but need to see if that will be good.

Nothing lowkey about breh is largely garbage, I'll listen to him on features but that's about it unless he hooks up with Metro again for a project.

At this point in time, I think I've officially confirmed that I will never like 4:44 or think its great.
Also after playing The Blueprint 3 I can cofirm that it's nowhere near that album on multiple levels, also I now feel the need to write and in depth post as to why BP3 is a good (almost great) album, after I sleep.

I listened to it for the first time today, I wasn't really into it either.

Sorry might have missed it but your problems with the album are mainly with his flow?

Sorry, but if the lyrics aren't capitalized and in italics, I automatically dimiss them.

Calling blueprint 3 a good album is some suspect ass shit
Beats are on point, wordplay is on point, and the songwriting is on point, It's also pretty experimental for Jay.
Only bad parts are the terrible first verse on Onto The Next One, terrible second verse on Forever Young, and Reminder.
Only other possible issue is that the album sounds a bit too tonally similar to me in the songs between Empire and Venus.
What We Talkin Bout-Empire is such an incredible five song run it's ridiculous.

The beat on Kokamoe Freestyle is too good.

That's strange, 4:44 is so good so I am surprised you don't like it. I am surprised you like BP3 since most hated it. I need to listen to everything post black album to see where I rank these albums

Blueprint 3 being bad is a myth and I've yet to see a good reason from it's detractors, especially those who place the trash album The Blueprint 2 over it.
