That's a funny coincidence cause i just got a new bed. Not from Casper though i did think about them they were just a little too far out my price range.

I have a hard time believing a mattress that ships like this can be good.

But I also like my mattresses super firm so maybe it's just me.

Can you expand (in spoiler tags) which death this was? I haven't watched the show but I'm up to date on the manga and I don't know which one this is.

It was one of the four veterans when Conny and the gang were in the tower right before Ymir goes Titan. One of them was being eaten by titans and screaming like she was begging her dad fo forgiveness, saying she was sorry and she won't do it again and stuff. I'm sure it was hard to read, but listening to it was a hell of a lot rougher.

Also, if you liked that section of the manga, I super recommend watching the second season. I didn't care much for the first season, but the second season was god damn amazing. It is the perfect way to digest this section of the story.

Ahh ok, I know where it is now.

Its on my to-watch list though lord knows my list is huge as is. I'll get to it at some point, hopefully. I've seen a few clips though that I really liked
the reveal about the Armored and Colossal, especially
.

Yeah the manga has HUGE pacing issues, if they keep this up for the seasons coming it'll be the way to consume AoT.

Ugh, don't remind me.

I still don't know how I managed to make it through the whole political civil war arc. I mean it did have some good spots, but so much of it was bwuuuuuuuuh.

I just reread that arc and honestly it wasnt as bad as i remembered. It might be the benefit of being able to go through in a chunk instead of waiting month to month

That could be it. I'll probably try rereading it soon, my memory of it is kinda fuzzy.

Waiting for it every month does make it seem stretched out more.

Kay so I finally know what's in that god damn basement and I am now forever in pain because it'll be years for me to hear Woolie shout excitedly about it at Pat.

Seems like the show runners might understand what more to focus on than the manga.

People never like to hear it because reading is some kind of badge of honor for them, but this is usually the case. An extra set of editing eyes--especially a much higher-paid editor who's well aware of the magnitude of what they're working on, rather than a work-a-day manga/book editor who's just pouring through manuscript six of ten for the week--tends to do a world of good.

Looked it up as a reminder, and I can only imagine the reactions from anime only people should we ever get there.

Also wiki dived on chunks of the manga I had forgotten/ahead of where I last stopped reading & WOW at some of the revelations. Gets insane at times.

First off, reading is a HUGE badge of honor! I have a gold star on my wall for every big person book I've ever read.

Second, I usually disagree with that statement that the adaptations are better than the source, but not this case. the AoT anime second season is significantly better than the manga for a lot of reasons, but a big one might just be because the art in the manga is rough (I wouldn't say bad though). Part of the reason I usually recommend the manga over anime is that the art is consistently better, but the art in the anime is actually the one that's consistently better with the exception of the occasional CG titan.

Second, I usually disagree with that statement that the adaptations are better than the source, but not this case.

I think once you cut out the "adaptations" that are actually just completely different works borrowing characters or themes from the material they claim to be adapting (see: Ghost in the Shell 2017) you'll find that adaptations actually tend to be pretty good.

Like, the Dragonball Z anime is an adaptation. The Dragonball Evolution movie is a completely new work created (unfortunately) with assets from Dragonball Z.

Pat is not a good person for an adventure game. He doesn't think before acting and just figures he can brute force his way through everything by hitting every option until one does something.

Honestly, I kind of like the Cat Lady LP mostly because it reminds me a lot of the I have no mouth and must scream LP. Thank god Woolie is on the side with his obvious hints though. The only real thing I don't like about it is that it is hard to keep track of the dialogue and them talking.

I was gonna check out on Late Shift since I've never been too big on FMV games but then I realized it was the one I saw Giant Bomb do a quick look or whatever of and I'm so glad I stuck with it.

I didn't even realize they did LA Noire. I have it on right now, this should be good. I've grown to really love Jirard and Davis. So glad I learned about them.

Davis is also cool, if you like star wars Jessie, Davis, and Alex have a podcast where they talk about stuff in the new expanded canon of star wars, shits funny.

But yeah you are definitely in for a treat with that playthrough

Still cops

Wow the LA Noire story really shits the bed in terms of anything interesting after the homicide bit. Artificial political drama in the form of a fake scandal for literally no reason other than it involves the protagonist (with a picture that barely shows anything happening).

and he always gets paired with shitheads

It'd actually be a lot more interesting if it happened to someone else in the department and you had to solve it, or something.
