I find it odd that it's an extra thing StarCraft players get to have them try Hearthstone rather than the other way around given that StarCraft is the game being released.
I suppose it is because of the massive fanbase StarCraft still has around the world.
I never gave it a proper go because I never got into RTS games. I might try it this time.

The great news is that the double gold quests still carried today, and I rerolled the hunter quest replaced by a warrior one, and the new quest asked me to play 10 pirates.

got stuck in a match that was never starting, I reset the damn client and it tried to reconnect me to that match and never started.. got stuck there for about 10 minutes before the game realized I was in a match that never started.

i dont understand why actions that significantly affect turn time take so long. jade is fun af but it's such a bummer when u have a huge auctioneer turn and have to act right away otherwise you'll lose most of your turn staring at cards shuffling, and when you complete quests, so many stupid input delays. grim patron should have made them learn their lesson, but all these miracle decks and discover cards, i hate being slowed down so much, it's such an eff you to combo decks.

It's playable in wild. Awesome is a sick card, crazy with send in the finishers, decks run fine without the quest tho but it gives you better control matchups

Is there still double gold?
Double gold is over. I finished my quest at 12:05 and got only 40 gold despite starting the game before the event ended.
Double Gold ended just when the frost festival started, I managed to finish both my quests and help a friend with his before it finished today
An excellent solution would be to give people a total bank of time for the game, instead of 30 seconds per turn (with maybe a higher limit like 45/60 seconds).
That way, if you're roping the first turn, you will run out of your total bank, if you have a log auctioneer turn you're not going to be negatively impacted by animation time and amount of cards played.
the best solution here is to not have cards like auctioneer to make MTG-esque turns.
One of the reasons why auctioneer is almost a lock for HoF next year is precisely these extremely long and powerful turns. that shouldn't be in the first place.

Literally just hit 500 with Paladin last night using a similar deck. Doesn't always win at the top ranks but its good enough.
Also, glad i finished that friend quest last night. Managed to draft quite possibly the worst paladin ever in the history of always and had to rely on Blizzards 1 free win for sustenance. Free ungoro pack and 35 dust so basically two ungoro packs elegiggle.

Mage deck seems more tricky to pilot, but it isn't that bad overall. Seems to have a decent amount of statted minions to help it control the board early game, before transitioning to a burn strategy later on. I won using a Baron Geddon + Molten Reflection combo. Kazakus and Solia help a lot in the mage deck.

Speaking of Jambre, if anyone is looking to seriously improve their game, I strongly recommend his Analyze the Pros series on youtube. He does a turn by turn break down of professional hearthstone matches and goes incredibly in depth discussing each option, their strengths and weaknesses, and what he thinks is the best play. It's a relatively new series and he doesn't seem to be on a regular schedule with them, but it's a fantastic tool to learn how you should be approaching each turn and each decision. that's a glitch right now with the brawl, if you use ice block there is no way to lose, you literally cannot lose.
some people are beyond fucked up... seriously.
interesting that blizzard doesn't have a way to ban people by that attitude.
Nice. Sherazin is def usable, and well, the quest maybe viable one day.
I have all the cards already, but that's the first two legendary pack I've ever gotten.

I imagine it was infuriating for him when I had 3 Potions of Madness in Arena, and one of them stole Pyros. The rest of my deck was card theft, removal, and big taunts.I only add ppl to say gg

Not gonna lie, I knew what was coming and still hit "Add". I mean, he had Mana Wyrm+coin+Mirror Image opening hand, and he blew it, then he roped the last 2 turns and I said "thank you" when he conceded, so...
edit: actually I just watched the replay and it was only 1 fireball. 2 fireballs + flamestrike was another guy.
this is the worst feeling
not only did you remove his stuff, you also got a 6/6 and a 10/10 for him to deal with later

Arena is such an awful mode. Not even a free run with a free win can make this garbage enjoyable.
