Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite Characters and Stages Roster |DT2| oh dear...

Wonder if they'll be taking questions. Wonder what they'll say if someone asked "Will the be any more females in the base roster?"

"Most of the world is now talking about the existence of more than two genders. Capcom seems to still think there is only one. What is Capcom doing as a company to help catch up with the times?"

...i give up, like for real. That not-SFEX looks like absolute trash (are you kidding me with thise animations) to the point where im still not convinced its not a aprils fool joke. And im a HUGE EX fan (and will be getting it if its real).

Tired of this meme bullshit.

So if someone praises something that you consider to be "trash" they're just doing it as a meme? Have you perhaps considered that people have different thresholds and expectations to you?

Also, why do people still act like the game was a prank, even though they confirmed it was real the day it was revealed.

From what I played of it at Evo, yeah, it's the opposite of KOF: Pristine models, stiff animations.

The animations seem to be mostly legacy, directly from the SF EX and Fighting Sample.

SFEX4 (I'm convinced that's what it is so I'll call it that for now) is better looking from a purely model quality standpoint, but as a complete package graphically, MvCI decimates it.

Swap SFEX4 with MvCI and MvCI with MvC3 and you might also find that ring true.

Honestly, stylistically I think the Arika game looks leagues better than MvC:I and I even kinda like how it looks over SFV. Those character portraits are top tier and I think it translates well into 3D even in it's early stages.

I think the new Arika fighter looks like garbage. Character models look decent, but, just like SFEX, the animations are awful and everybody shares a huge number of them. This doesn't only impact graphics, but the characters and gameplay. It looks great in stills, but, I don't play screenshots, so...meh.

Couple that with shitty gem implementation (right now), and...I don't see it.

Super armor is absolutely busted, lol.

I think the sound effects and animations are endearing, really gives off a nostalgic late 90's/early 00's vibe that does a lot for me personally. Though, the game is obviously much earlier on in development than MvC:I is and I think the fact that people are willing to say it looks better at the stage it's in says a lot.

Game mechanics are obviously busted right now and the Gougi system doesn't sound too appealing to me, either but I'm hoping they have something great by the time it's ready to come out next year.

Either way, Jedah helped my opinion of MvC:I a tad and I just wish everyone else was up to that quality. If MonHun can be that cool or cooler when they are revealed, I'm bought in.

FLEX looks like it's for fans of the old EX games.

The question: how big is that audience?
Like 3 guys probably.

People say we don't get new SFEX games because Capcom doesn't care about the fans. BS. We don't get them because Capcom isn't (completely) stupid. Why make a game that like 15 people will buy when they can make a game with the franchise power of a mainline Street Fighter?

I'm sure the Arika game is a lot of fun to play because of less exaggerated animations slowing down the action, it probably feels really snappy and nice.

Feels just like SFEX. Nothing particularly snappy in these decade old normals and combos, imo.

If you liked it, you'll like this. If not, then...yeah.

Really hoping for Monster Hunter and a new Capcom DLC character not from the leak.

Though monster hunter might be asking for too much if they're saving stuff for gamescom since that would be the last newcomer for capcom side and the remaining returnees aren't a big deal worth holding off on

Greg Miller is not a fighting game fan almost at all. So I'm assuming he'll be promoting another Marvel game that hasn't been announced yet? Or they're just putting him in there for the hell of it which would be dumb.

He's there for spider man

I'm sure he has a light appreciation for them but plays them for a few days with friends and then never plays it again. I do also think he has a good opinion on other games so it will be cool either way.

So people expecting Spiderman at SDCC? But Smooth Operator thinks otherwise?

To be more specific, this is what i've heard, but a) it's not 100% sure until it's official, as usual, and b) i really don't want to finish on Eventhubs. Dahbomb and Ryce can confirm you that i'm usually not full of shit.

Just a question
Do you think its the third party roster that's lacking (Crash/Spyro/Snake/Lara/Cloud)

Or do you think that sony's first party roster was lacking

I think they did the best they could

Definitely third party. Most Sony nostalgia characters are unfortunately third party and the third parties didn't want to play ball or sony didn't want to pay. It's sad that Smash got Cloud but PS All stars didn't. Then you got MGS represented by MGR Raiden and DMC by Donte...

Is it he's not going to be revealed at SDCC, or not in the game at all?

Do you have any other information?

When I brought up Arika, I was talking about the overall artstyle, not the animation or gameplay mechanics. The lightning, colors, and stage backgrounds look better than MVCI's IMO.
