Weak trailer, didn't differentiate it enough from Avengers (but it's also hard to get excited for it since there are no characters outside of WW that one wanted to see again in this universe). Also, was this movie always 16:9?

Hmmm, I'm not sure about it. It looked ok but there were some little things that are nagging me, such as the CGI when Aquaman surfed the parademon into the building then jumped out. Not feeling Ezra as Flash either; it's almost as if they put Jay Baruchel in the suit because that's the way he's coming across as. Jeremy Irons was decent, but I'm still undecided on him as Alfred.

That being said, Gal Gadot's killing it as Wonder Woman but that's hardly a surprise.

Clark hemming and hawwing over being a hero was something we as an audience saw him do privately, but to the public he's a flying dude who saves people from terrible shit, doing the things that we wish we could. So Bruce calling him a beacon for the people isn't really out of line at all, but I can understand it coming off as unearned.

I appreciate that JL looks like it dosen't seem to take itself as serious as BvS/MoS and embraces some of the camp.

I think that's what is going to win some people over.

And I hope it's Shazam, and I hope they bring in Superman and Green Lantern and Nightwing at the end of the fucking movie. Go all out goddamn it.

looks pretty good. will be a visual feast at the very minimum.

also that is 1000000% green lantern at the end.

There's a flash of red in the bottom right corner, then Alfred looks chest-level and puts an emphasis on the word "hope".

It's Superman.

The narrative of the DCEU does suggest that Superman was loved. You have the statue and the hero worship in the scenes you have above. Snyder just did a poor job selling it when Superman was actually on screen, so it doesn't ever feel earned. Superman saves people, but he looks like the whole exercise is a pain in his ass while doing it.

Looks good, can't wait to see it.

The one thing that kind of bothers me is how they kept saying, Superman was this symbol of hope and how the whole world mourns for him. I never felt that in both Man of Steel and BvS. And I may have remembered it wrong but weren't there a lot of people protesting against him and criticising him?

Well for one its the post Batman vs Superman world

Like jesus christ.

Synder's damage is done. The Superman they're talking about in this trailer and the one we got in MoS and BvS are two different characters. You can produce a screencap of the 'S' on a roof surrounded by people needing saving, but neither film once made you feel like the Earth felt that way about Superman.

"Superman was a beacon to the world. He didn't just save people. He made them see the best parts of themselves."

Fairly certain these lines are what drove Ben to start drinking again.

Is it me, or is it the red colour grading in the Aquaman building scene a bit... off? Like I'm almost positive that was originally intended to be dark and black-ish, as we saw in the original teaser trailer.

It was against a blue sky before. I imagine it's changed since there are a number of other scenes set against a blue toned background, so to differentiate them.

He wasn't alone.
Why would Superman be walking around stomping the ground like a pouty child. Dude can fly. It's obviously Steppenwolf pounding the ground and Alfred is a secret bad guy.

Sure, but that doesn't take away from Bruce saying the people view him as a beacon of hope in that universe.

I think that looked incredible. Hyped now!

Who could Alfred be talking to? Who would he know ahead of time? Nightwing?

You know, when WW busts through the door, shouldn't everyone have a delayed reaction? Or it just her that's fast but we perceive the properties of the door busting in normal time?

Or the entire montage at the end showing people mourning him.

I just realised, with stakes this high already, how will they ever do a Batman solo movie with the Joker, Penguin or any other non superhuman / alien villain? How is Batman ever supposed to work as just Batman? Don't say Flashpoint.

Joker/Penguin are pretty smart guys and its a comicbook...Im sure they they gave Batman trouble in his past before in the movie universe..

The Flash looks way better without the mustache.

has to be GL at the end right?

can't just drop 'No Lanterns' and then have the end be someone else...

Reason I could see it be a Green Lantern is, well, Alfred doesn't know Clark Kent.

Alfred, who has a history in the military, might've crossed paths with a Hal Jordan or John Stewart.

But it's probably Superman.
