COMICS!!! |OT| July 2017 | Princess, I've Seen the Way You Look At Me.

Oh Donnie. Say it isn't so

Really? I have not checked out Hellboy at all beyond the 2nd movie, and even I knew about these (because they are talked about quite a bit here)!:p

I should get around seeing the 1st movie sometime lmao.

hahah I'm teasing fellas. I know they exist....I don't have them though -_-

So is the new BPRD series that starts this week a mini or is it gonna be another big one like Hell on Earth?

It's the beginning of the third and final *mega arc*, following Plague Of Frogs & Hell On Earth. It sounds like it'll be a little leaner and more to the point so expect it maybe not to run quite as long as the others. I'd still assume 8-10 volumes though, just not the previous 15 HoE ran. That's it at the end of this one though for the main narrative they've been telling all this time. All things come to an end! ; also, what Ty said haha (I keep posting in sync with you this evening lol)

It's the next part of the ongoing series. The Devil You Know is the mega-arc name like Plague of Frogs and Hell on Earth were.

That's what I was hoping. I hate when I finally get on board with a series and there ends up being only a dozen or so issues left.

Be interesting to see how the Dark Matter titles turns out. The Terrifics should be pretty good, but wonder about the others hm.

Are these monthly, or is it two issues a month?

I'm all onboard with the Terrifics. New Challengers is getting a shot because I enjoy the Challengers and Snyder's on it. Immortal Men I'm leaning towards because it's that secret society stuff Tynion loves.

Abnett means I want to try Silencer, but it looks so boring. Sideways is the opposite, it looks great, but Didio writing means I'm very skeptical. Damage is just boring all around.

My mental jury is still out on Brimstone.

My guess is they're all monthly. Double-ship is for line anchors, not everything.

I think Immortal Men might catch my interests. Sideways does look great, but I am not familiar on what Didio has worked on exactly.

Three issues left of Secret Wars. Gonna be said to finish this run, it really ramped up the longer it went. Some of the best Marvel stuff I’ve read.

I need help here guys correct me if I'm wrong to my knowledge there has always been two primary universes. The one with PP as Spider-Man and one where Miles is Spider-Man which I believe is the Ultimate universe? Now I'm confused cause is the Secret Empire which I want to read cause I always miss out on the big events. I see Miles there so is PP not a part of this? I see Spider-Man has a new series, also I saw a sliver Spider-Man in the Hydra Avengers. Where does the new Spider-Man series take place?

Miles has been a part of the main universe with Peter Parker since 2015.

The ultimate universe is gone and miles is in our universe. It's a whole thing.

How am I just now finding out Zodiac Starforce is back? Next you'll tell me The Infinite Loop is back too.

Seriously tho: The Archie series. Worth jumping in at issue 22? Or would i be lost. Being eyeing both it and Sabrina for a while.

Yes it is. Soon.

Sabrina is a horror series that doesn't tie into the main series at all. If you want Sabrina she is in jughead vol 2. A book you should read.

Pls read the Ops for current book info.

Has Marvel announced any Deluxe Hardcovers for any of Lemire's books? Kinda surprised Doctor Strange and Thor got them so fast, but books like Old Man Logan still havent received the same treatment. If his Extraordinary X-Men hasnt gotten one yet, it probably wont ever right?

Really want a Deluxe for Daredevil too but im not getting my hopes up if it hasnt been announced already. Hope atleast Bendis's Defenders gets one when the time comes.

I think Hawkeye is the only OHC they've done for him, which is seen as like his worst work at Marvel, lol.

Kipp

but I am taking tiny steps forward
Hey Kipp. What have you been up to?

Not a whole lot. I've been on medical leave from work since I've had untreated sleep apnea and I was closing my eyes a lot at work. But I'm almost back to work now, so that's nice. Should just be a couple weeks now.

But besides that, not a whole lot, just been hanging out, loving New Hampshire. Loving my roommate still. Things are going nice! Thanks for asking.

Unfortunately I haven't really been reading comics. I've reread a bit of Ant Colony, Scalped, and Fear Agent here and there but that's about it.

Been reading some sweet comic books recently. Just started my Empowered reread. The hardcovers are unwieldy.
