Huh, actually think past level 6 it becomes almost possible to solo defense without being way over powered or having a large amount of defender pads. Did defence 7 with a group of randoms and the last wave just sent like a crap ton of fat guys non stop which are pretty much just bullet sponges.

It's really fun. I think the weapons I got from buying it physical have made the early content very easy, but the difficulty is starting to ramp up a bit. The shooting is very satisfying, and the building system is very fluid and easy to understand. This is the first tower defense style game I've ever played, so maybe I'm easily impressed.
Not very Minecraft. You will benefit from scavenging a lot, but there's a bare minimum you can get by with. They make the scavenging pretty interesting though.
You don't have to worry about food or shelter (outside of defenses) and the building is kinda blueprinty, but very flexible at the same time.
Building is very intuitive and fun. I don't like Minecraft.
Building is pretty easy. Framerate is ok. There are some slowdowns but I am not affected too much by it on the Pro.

Frame rate is mostly 30 with occasional dips. Doesn't seem too jarring though. Only time I notice it is when loading into a game. I seems to hiccup as the other player slots are filled.
What do you mean by survival? I don't craft bandages, eat food, or drink water. Just build forts to keep the husks from touching stuff.

They did an AMA recently and said crafting outside of the game world is on the list of planned things.

The game really is good. I love it.
I would love a dungeon crawl mission where you start at the entrance and make your way through a dungeon or cave with a chest or something at the end and you have to stop and fight hordes every so often.

I got the standard edition and I wanted to upgrade. When I go to the PS store and the fortnite game page it tells me that all of the editions are not purchasable.

Yeah.... I didn't know this and lost my Wall Darts...
In game, go to the store tab to see the options.
What do you mean ? Resources to harvest ? Just go into these missions with materials and a decent never weapon. If you have mats, holding the reload button will automatically craft ammo for your equipped weapon.

PC and PS4 are cross buy, just like Paragon. Progression syncs across both versions too even though they can't play together. Just have your PSN account linked to your Epic account and you'll be able to download the PC client.
Xbone is it's own little island though.

This is how the Paragon founders packs worked back in the day. Once you bought a lower level pack the higher packs were discounted that amount on the Epic store. I assume Fortnite works the same way.
Mostly deep in caves in woodland areas, is where I've found it so far.

It's pretty rare, but just one piece can craft 5 blast powders. Head for the forest maps on the far right hand side of the map in the starting area. Then look for caves. If you can't find any then quit out and try again.
I found 10 pieces in about 1 hour using this method.

My god this game is enormous. I've been plugging away at it all day and I'm like halfway through the tutorial. I'm actually pretty overwhelmed and haven't really grasped a lot of what slotting all these characters is for.

Played some with my Roommate. Game feels 100% F2P. Zero respect for player time, lots of grinding/RNG for loot. Gives me Evolve vibes.
Art style and graphic design is nice, and the building mechanics are super fun. Horde mode is kinda easy, and higher 'difficulties' seem to just throw more bullet sponges(The later is from observation of said roommate).

So when I'm in my hero tab and I'm adding heros for support and tactical. It shows I have the bonus on the left but under the hero card it says to unlock evolve this hero to star level 2.

make sure you build those random things in game. because you can learn how walls/doors/stairs are made to look certain ways.

There is no "host". It is likely that your quest requires a higher power level zone than your friend's.

No there's definitely a party lead. And for most quest progression only the party lead gets credit.

Party leader, sure. That doesn't mean they're host. There is no host. If only 1 person in the party is getting quest progression, that is a bug. I've never seen that during alpha.

This has been the case for me and a buddy. We've done everything together.
The shield defense levels only count for the host. Am I missing something?

Party up and do a mission. Only the lead will get credit unless it's a find x item objective. I've had to do doubles of nearly every mission so far. I've no doubt it's a bug or will change before long but atm that's how it is.
Nope. Just have to take turns.

Yea, my friend's image in the party menu had a crown over it. Maybe "host" is wrong, perhaps it's "lead"? Playing on PC.
Why is it like that? After booting the game up at the same time as a friend, I'm a bit shocked we can't stay at the same point in quest progression. So I get to do the quests alone or do them twice, lol?
You get to spec down skill trees. There's a bit of RNG on drawing a card for that class, but you're bound to get one at some point.
Only way I've found to do is just make a your own psn party and it will mute in game voices since it will prioritize party chat over game chat.
