Shit you do with your food that weirds out other people

What are some weird things you do with meals, like a weird topping or unconventional combination that weirds out other people when you tell them about it?

I don't drink milk (have a mild dairy intolerance) so when I want a bowl of cereal, I use water instead of milk, I have tried cereal with milk and It actually didn't make that much of a difference in my opinion, it just adds moisture to the cereal making it easier to chew and swallow mostly. (I have also used coffee, but that was a failed experiment)

The fact that I do this weirds out Friends, Coworkers and Family, much to my enjoyment.

I mix ketchup and mayonnaise to dip my tater tots in. Texans seem to think this is the most alien thing in the world (reactions up to and including "what the fuck are you doing?!?"), although folks from other parts of the country don't think it's odd.

But really, OP, a good milk substitute for cereal can be thick juices like the ones Naked makes. The right flavor with the right cereal is nice - the berry flavors are tasty.

I like fruit spreads with cheese, as well. There's a fig spread that's really nice with cheeses like manchego.

a lot of my threads involve me fucking up somehow. Perhaps I'm a moron?

This makes me want to puke.

Mayoketchup is fucking delicious and goes with everything fried.

An ex used to mix ranch and barbecue sauce and call it rancheque. I guess that's mostly the same thing.

Neogaf seems to have a really big picky eater population, and beyond that, I can recall a substantial amount of threads where people gagged or vomited at things like Indian food or lamb meat pies.

So as a pescatarian; I'm sure my seafood diet seems very unsavory to many people. Also I love bourbon. I was doing some work in South Africa with another girl from the US and she thought fish and bourbon were disgusting and couldn't eat or imbibe them.

Edit: one time I found a bourbon marinade rescipie for fish, I ate it and it was amazing.

Bourbon and fish 4 life.

My fiancé when we order her favorite pizza likes to dip the crust of it in water before eating it. Grosses the shit out of me. For the most part I don't do anything gross with my food anymore, but as a teen I would put different condiments on my pizza to see how it would taste with it like mustard for example. I do still like ranch pizza every once in a while, mostly if the crust is shit by itself and I'll put it on the crust.

He wasn't alone.
I eat a lot of food that is a big no-no on GAF. Like pickles, and olives.

I don't know if the pickle mints are real though.

I dont like my food to touch.
like when you have a steak and the juice runs into corn or rice, know what i mean.
why would anyone want that

apparently this is a slight against human nature to people though to not want all foods to mix

I love Bananenweizen (Wheat Beer + Banana Juice). I mean it's not that uncommon in Germany, but some people are weirded out by it.

I make an open faced peanut butter sandwich and then put a slice of cheese on top. My wife thinks it's very strange.

Yep, I'm weird.

People don't like olives and pickles here? Since when?

As for my own weird food thing, I sometimes use a fork to eat the toppings and cheese from pizza before picking up the slice with my hands.

Put my hash brown on my egg mcmuffin.
That sounds delicious. Kinda surprised I haven't tried that yet.

For me it's having a plain cheeseburger at In N Out. "What no double double?! No animal style?!" I find that I can taste some charred flavors that get hidden with all the toppings. The cheese flavor really comes out and so so does the toasted bun.

  • Put ketchup on my french toast.
  • Friends freak out.
  • I ask them if ketchup on eggs is gross. they say no.
  • I point out that french toast is just bread dipped in eggs.
  • They still think it's gross.
  • I point out that they are morons.

I like putting grated mozzarella cheese on white rice and instant ramen. I got the idea from U.F.O cheese ramen.

I like putting mayo on fries (It's weird for people in Cali).

I exclusively use my fork in my right hand.

I like to get my cereal soggy.

Well, the most recent push back to olive lovers was the recent thread about the best thing to happen to you this week. You see it in pizza threads too, and any time chicken sandwiches are brought up, you'll get a bunch of anti pickle people poping out of the wood work.

Used to eat peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches as a kid. Not sure if I would enjoy them now however

Also knew a kid who smothered his pancakes in ketchup. That grossed me the fuck out
