Well that makes more sense for speculation, but this is Capcom we are talking about right?
I would want nothing more then Gobby, but this could be taken so many different ways... like a loose way of addressing roster leaks and that there are still surprises looming in general. I find an enemy's attack in another character's super very strange personally.

Guess it's not that different from She Hulk getting attacked by Hydra cars in her LVL 3.

One possibility is that Green Goblin wasn't decided on as a DLC character until fairly recently (since only Black Panther and Sigma appear to have story mode roles), long after Spider-Man was given his new level 3.

It's not quite the same thing, but I remember a bunch of people thinking that Capcom would never include Hawkeye after giving "Aim of Hawkeye" moves to Taskmaster.

(I don't think any of this is terribly likely, but I don't think Spider-Man having a Goblin-inspired level 3 hurts or helps Goblin's potential inclusion. The interesting thing is its a depiction of a scene from a Sony Film which is murky with the MCU contract and the Sony Marvel Studios. I'd actually prefer a classic depiction of green goblin and not the mountain dew inspired robo-goblin look we got

Would be neat if it opened up glider moves so there is incentive to fly more often

This is how I feel.

Goblin on the ground normally, calls in glider for traps, specials, and hypers.

Ideally for me, it'd be a stance change, where glider mode works kinda like MODOK.

Yup, that's why I love the irony of She-Hulk's level 3 hyper. She tried to save us from getting run over by Hydra but she ended up accidentally hurt by tossed the car top of us. That's why she gasped. Truly 4th wall goofy character.

Being totally honest, back when UMVC3 launched, i was expecting that, if we ever get a UMVC4 (or the rumored UMVC3X), this Marvel and Capcom characters would totally get into the game, either by came back from previous games, or being totally new to the series:

Lockjaw should seem like he's playing the whole time; wagging his tail excitedly and barking before the match, doing lick combos, pouncing/sitting on his opponents, slobbering all over the place along with his teleportation powers of course all the while with his goofy ass smile.
