Giant spider traps terrified family inside their home

Yep, this is the shit we have to put up with down here under the earth...
Ok, I'm sure they could have gotten out via another door, but that's the article's title.

A spider the size of a dinner plate has terrorised a Queensland family after it became "angry" when they tried to use their barbecue.

Lauren Ansell from Mount Coolum returned home on Sunday to find the giant spider sitting on the sliding glass door to her patio.

Ms Ansell said the creature, which she quickly named Aragog, was as large as a grown man's hand and very "unhappy," The Sunshine Coast Daily reported.

"(The spider) was preventing us from using our BBQ," she said.

"We made it unhappy as we tried to move it so we could cook".

Ms Ansell said her boyfriend tried to squash it in the door, but it instead fell off and scurried off into the garden.

Shocking photos show the enormous spider perched on the door. Ms Ansell's boyfriend even held the cat up near the spider to show its size.

Pics in article.

I'd love to see Australia but no fucking way am I stepping off that plane with anything less than a full suit of armor on.

The video in the article at the bottom of the huntsman eggs hatching and then the giant spider coming into view and scurrying off.

Legit chills, if I saw that I would leave the house and never come back.

I should go down there and start a business as a spider exterminator. So much fear of these things, all I see is a kill.

Is it me or are spiders getting bigger and bigger? I'm expecting stuff like what was in the Mist to show up next year in people's backyards.

Tbh, if a spider is that large it's shocking but it's easier to make sense of. I'd have an attack plan ready.
