I don't/didn't read the Manga. Anyway, he hasn't won a fight, but he contributed. He has a very bad track record.

So it's bad.

Makes sense for Goku to ignore the high draining form that has never worked and go for the low draining form that sometimes work.

He only uses 3 to show off now.

If you're not sparring or gauging pl like with black it's useless
Blue is pretty much better in every

Kind of surprised that Frieza is still messing about with chumps in that arena rather than laying down the law on more notable fighters. He always strikes me as ambitious normally. Like that line about him wanting to reign over Zeno and put him in his place. But err first I've got to play with these useless protein-shake weightlifters from U10 or something.

Nah, Frieza is not the kind of guy to chase after strong fights, he likes to just torture weak people that can't fight back. He's always been a big bully and a coward, so it makes sense that he isn't trying to fight stronger people.

I think he certainly enjoys that aspect. But he always naturally wants to be top of the pile and he'll normally do anything to get there. The multiple times he has been overpowered he even chose to retaliate in face of certain death. Goku, future trunks, RoF. He has a ruthless streak that doesn't like to admit defeat at all. The only time I've seen him scared was when future trunks turned up. And that's because he saw the same transformation that almost killed him. Even after that he shook it off and attacked.

Perhaps others are right though and he's playing the long game while other strong fighters eliminate each other. He can probably sense who is and isn't worth his time.

One of Frieza's defining moments is that he commits genocide because of a legend that someone may become stronger than him, that's more than enough of a reason to call him a coward. And later we learn he could have made that not a problem with just four months of training, but no he destroys a planet to get it out of the way quickly. He is not a fighter, always wants to take the easiest way out and it took two losses and years in hell for him to think of putting some effort into improving.

Frieza hunting down weaklings makes far more sense than him wanting to fight stronger opponents, and he only keeps trying to kill Goku because his ego won't let him give up on revenge.

Edit: oh yeah, the whole reason the Namik arc exists is so he can wish to become immortal, despite at the time he was the strongest person in the universe with nothing but legends to worry about. Buu and Beerus being added afterwards doesn't really change anything either, since he would still rather take the easy way out with immortality instead of training to surpass them.

he even bitches to Goku how humiliating it is to sweat for four months and hated for making do such a thing

he was also content with ignoring beers and buu

Why y'all so eager for Vegeta to get beat down? He didn't even want to be in this tournament, if anything he's a smarter version of Goku at this point wanting to fight on his own but at least he's not helping rival teams get stronger and doing McDonalds eyes.

I LOVE Vegeta. He's definitely smarter than Goku, but he also suffers from the same flaw at times.

He likes to fight stronger opponents. And a lot of times Vegeta will do that same bs Goku does where they play around their opponents far too long.

I'm not eager for Vegeta to get best down, he's my favorite character, but getting beat down is almost what he does best. I don't see him beating Ribrianne.

I'd love it if Goku was one of the early ones knocked out, he deserves it, but I've accepted that that wont happen.

I do want to see the magical girls be major players though, and we know Vegeta will be fighting at least one of them, so if Vegeta is the price we need to pay to get that then I'm okay with it. Vegeta has had many moments to shine and he will get many more, so it's not a big loss.

Because they're retreading the same tired "ORE WA VEGETA-SAMA DA, I'm #1" prideful Vegeta that had gone away for most of Super. Why they're suddenly back to that is a question for the ages.

It's not a matter of if Vegeta will job, it's a matter of when.

The time will come when Frieza puts them on their place, but we must be patient and wait for the tournament to be over 😌

Maybe a tournament got his competitive spirit back for a time, i don't Vegeta to become Gohan #2 when he was with litte pan like RoF/Black arc
But yeah he should stop with his Vegeta SAMA its getting old

For Q1 of the fiscal year Dragon Ball made more than double what One Piece did in Japan.

Dragon Ball's comeback continues to amaze. I wonder if it will continue to make more than OP in Japan for the rest of the fiscal year or if this is a one time thing.

i think vegeta will beat ribrianne but get taken out at the same time. maybe shows off a new technique at the same time .

EDIT: I hate those fucking fake ass thumbnails

Interesting new PV from Toei, focused on the new Saiyans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swdlByVSoK0

Referring to the final shot with Kale,Caulifla, and Goku.

I think it's intended as his way of coping with the fact that he could lose his daughter/ son, and that he's wiping out 8 other universes, one that he's grown attached to.

Judging by Super's quality writing, one of these two will casually beat Vegeta God level with a totally new power up. Lmao I feel bad for those guys that tried so hard to fit power levels of DBS in accordance to DBZ.
I don't think you could have been more wrong. :)

U10 is such a letdown after Black. It's no wonder Zamas flipped cuz his universes best fighters are jokes that drink protein shakes and fart all day. Was hoping for some more sinister characters to be apart of this tournament. It seems like Frieza and Frost are the only real bad guys in this tournament. I am also expecting Frieza to eliminate Goku or at least attempt too with Hit making the save with his timeskip. There are lots of reasons for U6 & 7 to team up for this arc.

I had a theory on why there is no Buu or something similar in Universe 6. I think Buu is a force of nature that was around since the beginning of time and could have ended up in any universe or even travel from universe to universe. In the manga Zamas congratulates Shin about the defeat of Majin Buu, which makes it seem like Buu is a unique being that just ended up in U7.

Frieza is having the time of his life.
He's a kid in a candy store right now.
The fact that he isn't going to interact with any of the U6 saiyans to fight them still bothers me.

I don't see Vegeta losing. Maybe if he was Blue in the opening. But I still think he has a lot deeper to go if not all the way.
We don't know which Ribrianne he's fighting in the opening though.

Edit: Where is One Piece right now? If they're not in a major arc, it's not really comparable.

I don't think One Piece is in a great position lately, DBZ seems like an absolute juggernaut in comparison. I'm not sure it will change.

But speaking of OP, the views difference on Toei's channel is pretty funny.

Sorry for the slightly off topic..

I watch DBS and One Piece, and I've always been a huge OP fan. But I take long breaks from in a binge it and repeat.

Is One Piece doing bad these days? Or is the current arc boring? I know it probably couldn't keep top quality forever... but I've been seeing stuff about OP's decline here and there.

One Piece still regularly beats Super in live TV ratings, but we have no idea how they compare on streaming services. Dragon Ball video games sell massively better than One Piece games and Dragon Ball merchandise has become a monster in the past 2 years.
Either Dragon Ball just has a larger number of people who watch the show on streaming services/on their DVRs or it just has a fanbase that buys more stuff.
One Piece is still doing really well, better than the vast majority of anime/manga in Japan, Dragon Ball has just had crazy growth.

It's still the number one manga.

And the number one shonen actually. It's true that it has lost a significant amount of viewership over the past 2 years on average. Most shows are down too, but One Piece saw the biggest drop.

As for merch and video games, One Piece is still doing a lot of money. It just pales in comparison to DBZ, especially if you factor in Worldwide profits.
