I attempted to take on a bit too much in the beginning.
But I slowly worked my way up.
Fighting tigers granted me a beautiful new sword. I was hoping it would drop and got really lucky.
Making an inquiry at the infirmary in Jeuno granted me a strange amulet and a mysterious vision to go with it. A ghost-like boy escaped from the infirmary and the knights of Jeuno chased after him only for him to vanish in thin air.
The game gave me some very vague instructions and told me to check the archduke's manor for "details." Those "details" were apparently some NPC muttering something about emptiness. But the game had already told me to visit the crags and after checking with the internet, sure enough, that's what I was supposed to do. I decided to make my way for the most familiar one - the Crag of Dem.
Inspecting the broken telepoint crystal teleported me to a strange apparatus of what I'm assuming is some long lost civilization. As some cloaked men tried to escape and got sucked back into the "emptiness," I made my way inside and was transported to a dark realm.
In this realm I fought all sorts of bizarre enemies around my level and avoided those the game told me were "very, very strong." They could have easily found their way into a Dark Souls game.
Eventually I found my way to a web-like doorway, leading to a boss fight. As soon as the fight started Kupipi seemed to mysteirously lose all of her MP. Unable to heal, I got the boss down to about 20% of its health as it killed off each one of my trust NPCs one by one. But alas, I did not succeed. I guess I should have bought some ethers and maybe a hi potion or two. My Japanese linkshell's advice was to get better Trust NPCs, but apparently at level 30 it's a bit "tough."
