Why is piccolo there four times?
I'm not saying he didn't do dumb things in Z, but it's not nearly on the same level as Super. He turned his back to Frieza... The dude that killed Krillin, fired an energy wave at Goku from behind him on Namek, tortured and nearly killed Gohan during RoF, and destroyed the Earth without hesitation. Then, after witnessing him murder the Goombas with his Omega beams, Goku still has the idea to turn his back to Frieza.

He showed Freeza mercy on namek too. Granted he could have killed him anytime at that point, but he turned his back on him and let him live even though he had just murdered a bunch of namekians, krillin, and Vegeta

Goku at least had a sense of responsibility after he gave Cell a senzu bean by sacrificing himself. Goku got U7 in the mess that is ToP and he's walking around like a moron being in danger too many times. All the other universes help each other in preventing a ring out, Goku could easily as well by using IT. I know it would be cheap, be they should at least him try to show he cares. His zero fucks given attitude is infuriating.

That was stupid but at least there was a plan there, and some naive sense of fairness, now he'd just do it for shits and giggles all n_n

I mean, the plan now is to get the Super Dragon Ball's like Goku said in 99.

The sensu bean plan failed. Gohan didn't care what Cell did to him. Goku's plan was never for Cell to attack them, it was stupid for Cell to do that.

Does Goku still have the sensu beans? I ain't trusting Goku.

He let him live because Frieza cried, and begged. He was incapacitated and the planet was about to explode. You could say that by Frieza betraying Goku, Goku got a first taste of Frieza.

Buu is much better though and Broly doesn't really exist in a way that counts

Buu was a pretty mindless villain with no backstory or drive other than to wreck shit. He's basically Kirby Broly. Cell, Frieza, and Vegeta were all way more interesting villains than him. (Admittedly pre-perfect Cell was better than Mr Perfect Cell). I think Cell would have been more interesting to bring back since a subplot of this arc has been Gohan's return to his prime, and 17 and 18 being on the team. All three of them could have had very interesting interactions with Cell. Plus I think Cell would have more drive to actually participate in the tournament given he has that Saiyan blood in him plus the urge to test the limits of his perfection.

If the show has any balls, an arc where actual Goku was the villian would be awesome. They've already more than set it up as a possibility. In his zealousness to get stronger and fight more powerful opponents he's becoming more and more reckless and putting more and more people in danger to the point entire universes are at stake.

Make him go to far, make an arc where Goku is truly the villian and the rest of the super team has to take him down. At the end, finally make Goku realize his list for power has made him a danger and he retires in hell or something.

I'm including all form of Buu including Fat buu, cell doesn't come close to him for me. The context and set up of Cell is great but the character himself I don't care about at all. Buu feeding kids human milk>anything cell did

I really want to hold out hope that they might actually lead to a story where Goku takes an antagonist role. He's been doing some shady shit this entire arc.

-- Went to Zeno after Beerus already warned him not to
-- Made a high stakes tournament with Zeno after already seeing Zeno destroy a universe
-- Had an opportunity to get rid of the universe erasing stipulation
-- Lied to some of his best friends about the Tournament of Power's real purpose
-- Brought back and struck a deal with Frieza
-- Is helping people from other universes instead of his own

This is some straight up villain shit

Haven't seen a thing about Super since SSGSSJ Vegeth, did Muten Roshi became relevant yet (aside the thing against Tienshinhan)?

He used the Lightning Surprise attack, and got over his perversion.
105 is named after Roshi.

You're right
He cared more than Goku did

I miss this meme

I don't remember the movie, but did he die when Freezer destroyed the earth?
Whis saved him. Vegeta was the only one in the group who died in that.

so no. lol
More than Roshi ever did in Z.

As much as I dislike Super Goku he isn't responsible for any erasure, he gave every low mortal level Universes a chance.

We've been through this argument a hundred times, and that doesn't absolve him of dooming 7/8 universes to immediate doom instead of at some arbitrary point many years away (because gowasu travelled thousands of years in to the future, none of this would have ever been a problem for a tone currently living)

Hey Universe 10 could have won the TOP

Hahaha hahaha

Hey I'm not saying it was a good plan, just acknowledging that he had one :p

1) Zeno would have destroyed those Universes. Goku not going to Zeno would have simply postponed it.
2) Gave the Universes a chance to prove themselves.
3) Grand Priest warned Goku not to lose on purpose or their Universes would be erased.
4) I guess this was shitty.
5) Frieza is as strong as Goku and was needed for U7 to win. It was only for 24 hours.
6) He did say in the tournament that he will survive till the end. He's making some allies like Caulifla etc. and I'm interested to see how that plays out later in the tournament. I don't like what he's doing but we don't know the result of his actions yet.

Overall, I don't think he's a villain lol just annoying as hell.

Fat Buu and his antics after he killed Babidi were a lot of fun.

Cell has no interesting characteristics or interactions outside of Young Gohan and Future Trunks. On paper he is the absolute worst villain in all of Dragon Ball. He just exists to be an antagonist. I couldn't even list off 5 things I like about Cell without Gohan.

Or Goku (Perfect Cell), or Vegeta (Semi-Perfect Cell), or Piccolo (Imperfect Cell), or the Androids, etc.

Also worth noting it was Gohan's idea to keep it a secret. :p

There's no dynamic there though.
Goku and Cell never really interacted.
Vegeta was just a battle of power.
Piccolo was just a fight.

The Android's sure, but bringing back Cell still does nothing. He won't have any aspirations aside from getting stronger. He won't care about Gohan when there's gods around, he'll just be a more boring version of Frieza.

Perfect Cell was the amalgamation of everything that had happened in Dragon Ball since the Red Ribbon arc. He was the combination of the chaos that began for Gohan the day Raditz abducted him and the culmination of fears spread when Goku and Piccolo stomped a bunch of human's before the revelation that they were threats from space.

He was a bug crossing timelines to evolve to the perfect fighter. Created by the Lex Luthor equivalent of Universe 7. He was mixed and put together by the trail of crumbs Goku had left through all of Dragon Ball and the climax of his arc was the successor of Goku going up against everything Goku had done and stood for.

What is Buu? A random pink blob from space that turns people in to candy; literally Kirby from outer space. His arc is pretty much everyone tripping over each other to be the largest jobber despite the build ups.

Perfect Cell is peak Dragon Ball villain, Buu and by extend his arc is a complete joke.

lol, buu ilu, pls don't hurt me guys
