Next episode looks good. Missed SSG and I like the idea of Goku teaming up with Hit. Dyspo seems like the third most important Pride Trooper as well. The important characters are fighting next episode.

I will say that one good thing happened from this episode: the U10 Angel didn't smile.
Honestly, I was ready to see her give the same smile that the other Angel did when his universe got wiped out. At least we could say that he smiled because he didn't have to hear his Supreme Kai's nonsense anymore now.
Part of me felt as though that this was just a set up to erase all universes and leave only the Angels behind in some grand scheme of sorts to rule over all remaining universes (or something to that regard) after the first universe, but with U10 gone, we saw that she was indeed upset about it. My speculation game will have to go somewhere else I suppose, but I guess I'll wait for the next universe to get wiped out to make sure my previous idea gets debunked.
Anywho, the next episode really is going to be intriguing. I'll admit that part of me did get rather upset as to how we had Goku's SSG form used literally only once and then it was abandoned almost immediately to give way to blue. I really wanted to see them give a more proper explanation of the form and even start calling SSG SSRed or something to that regard since it was a pretty badass with the red aura and what have you.
Perhaps we'll get some details on that next time and get a proper explanation as to either way Goku never bothered to use that form after achieving SSBlue (or if it is literally a thing to where he is only "pacing" himself, thus using just half the power of what SSBlue would put out).

On a side note, are we keeping tabs for the "Who knocks out who" so to speak? Part of me feels like I should be following that more since that will likely factor in how the end of this tournament will play out.

Yeah tho I'm def getting the sense now that goku is mostly just fucking around now to learn new techniques, he's mentioned it at least twice that people were 'worth studying'.

Yeah I was under the impression that SSG was only possible with the ritual, the sssgg form was him doing it on his own? I missed a few episodes here and there so maybe I missed it, but I don't ever remember seeing him use this outside of the botg saga/movie

I'm just waiting for the Monkey's Paw to come into play and they wish back "All the universes destroyed by Zeno-Sama" and accidentally bring back a great evil that had to have been destroyed for a valid reason-

I just realized that if that happened... Wouldn't that mean that Zamasu would come back too? Someone cue up that "Zamasu did nothing wrong" meme because I feel as though the irony is about to strike!

We don't know when that would've happened, my dude could be spending time with his family RIGHT NOW, but fucking Goku wanted to "fight strong guys". Now he and his family is erased. You can't spend time together when none of you fucking exist.

This crossed my mind as well. Im wondering if he will take these techniques and use them in the inevitable fight with Jiren.
Overall, really enjoyed the episode. 17 still doing good work watching out for Goku, Piccolo and his son sticking together, and finally U6 loses one of their fighters (and my least favorite as well).

Just finished watching... god that felt weak. Gohan was only in about half of the episode he was supposed to star in, and everything was wrapped up so quick the payoff was really just not there.

in the preview... I still don't like the design. Blue is way better.

He was great, yet again. I continue to be surprised at how much Super has made me like 17.
He would be if his universe wasn't going to get eliminated.
Edit: I'm actually pretty bummed about U10. They all seemed to be pretty likable at the very least.
Yeah he was great, sad he won't make it to the end.
But yeah that U10 stuff is sad. Gohan looking at that photo at the end is heartbreaking. Him getting upset is going to cause him to do something later on. That's powerful.

I have a theory that the Future Trunks arc never truly ended and Zamasu's real Zero Mortal Plan will be something more catastrophic. Like a piece of him will still exist somewhere in the universe. Whis did, afterall, seal him up in that one timeline Trunks and Mai went to, sooooo....

Cool episode. Animation was a little wonky, which I normally don't mind, but Gohan finally got to look cool again, so I thought it'd be a bit more consistent. It's alright though.
Poor U10 though. It actually kind of upset me that no one said anything to Gowasu, it was just so.. unceremonious. I mean, I guess it's not that surprising, since only Goku knows him, and barely at that, but meh. Anyways, sucks that he's gone, also it was sweet that his Angel cares about her universe.
I did find it kind of amusing that they did the whole locket thing. It definitely made the moment sadder, but at the same time I'm thinking to myself... Billions of people just got erased for the 2nd time now, it's kind of amusing that they felt that they needed the locket to help convey the stakes, that everyone's out here trying to survive. I get it, Gohan's also a family man, it just amused and saddened me at the same time is all, but it was for the best that they added something like that I suppose.

I fully agree. It was like, woah they let image that works on two levels speak for itself. I was like "woah, what show am I watching?"
Not sure if this is my favorite episode of the ToP or second. It's right up there for me with 101.
Goku saying he was studying their techniques bothers me when 17 said it last episode. Just feel repetitive, and them realizing 7 episodes in that Goku's acting like an idiot a lot. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to do, but I think fighting the pride troopers or Kale would have been a better time to say that.

Okay episode. Animation was better than I expected from some comments in this thread. I still want U7 to get utterly destroyed, and I'm still tired of seeing U7 get so many bloody kills.
Also, goddamn, only 11 minutes have passed since the tournament started? Just how are they going to fill the rest of the tournament time? At this rate the tournament proper will last an entire two cours, which is absurd.
At least the Yardrat is a proper knight. Cool dude. Would like to see more of his abilities, though. (And why the hell did he not rescue teammates earlier when he did so this episode? Sigh.)

Sorrel had one of the best designs and she still got tossed out without even being shown fighting, so no, not so much.

I was thinking about that. The person who gets the wish isn't the last person standing, but the MVP, right? It would make sense if this motivated him to do more than just survive so he could be the one who makes the wish. Can't trust Goku with it considering he still hasn't wishes King Kai back lol

USSJ1/2 should be used more as a valid transformation if you just need pure strength without getting to the energy drain of SSJ2.
