Lucioball is so bad. It just feels slow and the physics are janky and inconsistent. Wish they made it a faster paced game.
Sheesh, comp has been nothing but stress today. Intense games, 2-2 W/L ratio but they all of them drove me crazy with how tense they were.
I almost threw my last one because I was paired up with a 5 stack and we were up against a 6 stack, and jesus, I was the only one who was excluded from coms. I had so many callouts to make, but no one would hear me to follow through on attacking weakened characters, it was infuriating. We lost 2 rounds pretty handily, but then we did a reverse sweep, so cool, but I was going crazy.

Weirdly enough, I didn't have this problem during the first Summer Games. Maybe the whole thing is using the old interpolation techniques, before they upped the tickrate and whatnot?

I actually liked Lucioball when I played yesterday with Cappa and Batman doing placements, easy win after easy win.
Knowing that you can drible the ball just by making contact with it and not by punching like I was doing before, and also that you have to aim at the top of the ball to send it higher was game changing. I have Cappa to thank for that, now I just play as goalie and it can be really fun.

Not really. There were two major differences then however, boops could affect enemy players and the ult only served to pull the ball toward you.

I don't know if this was discussed at any point, but I've figured out how the new lootbox system behaves during events. The thrust is that item drops still favor event items, no matter your level. If for example you have every event epic but are still missing standard epics, you can still get event epics - as duplicates - or standards.
This system can however be manipulated in your favor though. By my count, I'm missing 15 standard legendaries and have 13k gold saved up (and I already have all the legendaries for this event). I'll continue playing normally up to the start of Halloween, then spend everything I have on the remaining, relatively cheap standard legendaries. That way, I'll be guaranteed nothing but event legendary drops (with the occasional coin chest).
This system can however be manipulated in your favor though. By my count, I'm missing 15 standard legendaries and have 13k gold saved up (and I already have all the legendaries for this event). I'll continue playing normally up to the start of Halloween, then spend everything I have on the remaining, relatively cheap standard legendaries. They should've added a couple walls and/or platforms into the maps. Half the fun of Lucio is bouncing off of and climbing shit and all we get is an empty box.

Holy shit, I thought I was fortunate to have mostly avoided the Season 5 bullshit all of you guys said you were experiencing, but it must've all caught up with me today. What a shitshow. I had a match where I was solo healing as Zen with a Sym, Orisa, Hanzo, McCree, and Pharah. Like, who leaves the spawn room and thinks to themselves, "yup, that's a doable team comp"? Christ

Second point on Anubis. Guy is playing Bastion on attack. He doesn't use his ult. "Use your ult dude, I'll protect you with Defense matrix"
He flanks to the side. Okay, good, if he does this right, we win the game.
A mercy passes by him. She was backing up, she doesn't notice us. Bastion just proceeds to go into the main enemy team, which Reinhardt first blocks his shots, then earth shatters him.
The....the mercy walked right by him. She was right there...right there, literally in front of his face, back turned. He ignored her. IN TANK MODE.
*Screams to the heavens*
We ended up drawing. It would have been an easy win too because I told my team that the enemy was in the high ground and anyone who could get up there should take them out. I was symmetra, I was trying to handle things on the ground. But apparently we gave up an easy point because...I don't know.
They almost took the second point too because our mercy tried to retake the first point. By herself. Even if she had rez and was going to reach the first point, she would have rezzed one guy if she didn't get killed first. I kept telling her the first point was lost 10 seconds as she went on her way there too, so she was warned ahead of time, but nope, she thought she was gonna 1 v 6 the entire team.
It guess I shouldn't complain about it ending in a draw, but dammit, this was an easy win that slipped through because my team was goddamn stupid as fuck.

Game on Lijang Tower. 3 DPS, 2 healers, one tank (me). We are going 0-2 down. I switch Winston to Zarya in an attempt to have one of my teammates to pick another tank, because of the 3 DPS I think 2 of them were doing nothing. He picks Rein. "Ok, that's better than nothing". We managed to go 2-2. Last round, he switches back to Doomfist. WHY.JPG. Of course we lose. BUT THAT'S NOT THE BEST PART: see DEFEAT SCREEN, see how many XP I got and medals, quit before I see how much SR I lost. Go back to menu and try to find a new game: 10 MINUTES PENALTY. -50SR. WHAT THE FLYING FUCK. GG BLIZZARD.

In a general sense, do you still stand by your opinion, that there is always a better option than Junk? Is there anything they could do to make him truly viable in high-level meta play?
I would love to learn a defense character (any defense character) but there never seems to be a defense-sized hole in my team comp. Healer or Tank is always appreciated, though.

After acquiring the Waste Not, Want Not achievement yesterday (thanks to the enemy Widow, Zenyatta, and Tracer <3), I'm only one away from getting my first Platinum trophy! Any tips for earning Simple Geometry?

If that's the last one for plat you gonna have it soon. I reckon you solo queue, so I just advice you to go Hanzo all the time and aim scatter arrows at feet of multiple enemies. If you got a Zarya Ult it's perfect.

Thanks! Most of the videos I've found have just been memes (granted, I'm lttp since I only started playing three months ago), so this sort of specific advice is helpful.
That said, as a Zen semi-main, Rapid Discord will always be my proudest achievement!

I actually don't mind using his ult and find it kind of frustrating to go against. I've gotten quite a few clutch multikills with it on 2cp, control or hybrid especially.

Altought I believe they made the trophy easier than it was originally. In the beginning you weren't allowed to kill yourself to get it.
It's definitely annoying AF for Zen since they seem to solo ulti him 24/7.

Blizzard, I have a suggestion. Get rid of the "Thanks" from the emote wheel, because let's be honest people only use it sarcastically these days, and replace it with "GET ON THE FUCKING PAYLOAD YOU ABSOLUTE CRETINS!!!!"
