I think he mostly scored down due to the bugs and glitches he encountered.
Totally disagree. Watching Austin obliterate some aliens and building up his troops only to have the rest of the crew screw everything up would have been great.

I think Invisible Inc would be a better fit since a campaign run in that is way shorter.
Ooh, I'd heard that was good. Though ideally for me I'd want something with you actually being in the world and interacting with characters, though.
But I'll keep it in mind regardless; if I'd been reminded it existed around when I finished P5 and would have been down for anything sim-ish I probably would have gone for it.

Honestly seeing the cards with character in the good life trailer immediately reminded me of black closet.
Who knows if that's the final presentation seeing that it's a 2019 game but that immediately peaked my interest.
Also black closet is all about interacting with characters.

this Madden story mode seems impressive for what it is
I like the story modes they're adding to all their sports games. The Fifa one last year was pretty fun. I enjoy having soap opera storylines play out in between matches.

Same. It's just like how Fighting game stories go a long way for me as someone who isn't overly competitive/ doesn't have someone over to play against 24/7.

How many Murder Islands streams have they done (how many games also) because it's the same group of people so you think you would learn to work together... I have played probably similar amount of time as these guys with random GB people on discord and I've personally gotten like 3 wins with them, and we're all pretty average at the game.
2k17s is a really fun buddy story, but they stretch it out too much. I should be able to only play and train and important times, not simulate an entire season.
One day I'll make it to all-star weekend... one day...

Also that game is way more like an actual boardgame.
I was out of town and brought my PS4 (and bored) and I fired up NBA 2K16... man, I forgot how awful that storymode is. I loved the idea of it but holy shit.
If they are going to play "spicy" they have to play smarter.
If you land in school, you all should be as close to eachother as possible when you land. But they are scattered all over.
To win the school requires coordinated aggression. The guys with the guns protect the guys without the guns until everyone has guns. If you are off on your own, even if you down a guy, if he has 3 friends by him your chances are really really bad.
SideNote: I am surprised by how turned off of first person Jeff was. I didn't think id prefer it, but i really really do. Makes the game feel much more fair. While, yes, people still camp, they are more vulnerable to flanks which helps a ton

I think its fair to say we mostly knew Dan would have fucked it up, the question was just how much.
The really fucked up part about Dan's fuck up is that his playstyle was sort of working up until the end. He started panicking when he should have pulled back a little, gotten his guys into cover and waited the moving thinman out. The ones on the roof stay in Overwatch until they pop. Otherwise he was doing rather well.
Yeah they really need to do something to cut down on the tedium. I don't think I even finished one season in 2k17.
And also don't make the MyCareer player the same as the online player. I'm still mad that they start you off as literally the worst player in the NBA while the story talks about how great you are. And I miss being able to be good at everything.

I don't mind the shooting, but one thing that really stops me from wanting to play it frequently is how sluggish and awkward the movement feels to me.

IT's a very well designed mod with lots of great ideas.
But: It's really, really hard. You'll need to play very defensively. Battles go a lot longer because of the bigger squad (and enemy) size. The campaign in general goes on for longer too
If you are into that, it's great.
I haven't played the XCOM 2 long war but i'd imagine those battles to be a bit faster paced due to how some mechanics in 2 work. It's also easier to install mods in general due to the workshop support.
