Overwatch |OT10| That'll do pig, that'll do

Depends. 2s DM is still really powerful peel, it just depends on how the new ability works out if her overall kit will be good. The idea that her ability to peel and survive will be dead is ludicrous. Some of the English speaking pro D.Va players think she would still be played if DM was just straight nerfed like that lol

Roadhog's issues have nothing to do with survivability tbh, his offensive kit is just ass lol. I'm not even going to try and defend that dumpster fire at this point.

Cute new avy

Survive sure but can you actually achieve anything in that time or you're better off playing someone else.

All tanks not named Winston D.Va would die in that situation due to no disengage options. D.Va can simply DM and fly away.

Rein/Zarya/Orisa have to hard engage and commit. They don't have the survivability of Winston/D.Va.

What hero would you run instead in that situation/time you are talking about? You are taking away aggro and pushing. That is what tanks do; I don't get your "can you achieve anything there". You are using the huge health pool, armor and DM to push/create space and take aggro to enable your DPS.

Seagull just did a really long interview with Scott Mercer, one of the designer for Overwatch. They talked about a lot of requested features in there so I highly recommend it if you have the time. It should be his most recent broadcast on Twitch.

I might try to compile a list of stuff if I have the time but at the very least it seems like we are getting some changes for season 6. A lot of this stuff is on r/CompetitiveOverwatch I think so you could always check there.

I don't play her just for her rez, but I play her for everything she is now. A character I love could turn into a character I no longer love due to their "sweet changes", and that possibility makes me sad. I'm obviously going to wait and see what happens to her, but I don't trust Blizzard, sorry.

Oh no, Mercy might require skill to use after the rework!

I still haven't got any of the new event legendary skins. :\

It's really stupid, really really stupid.

"Sometimes I'm not sure why I even bother."

I've been out of the game since around a few weeks after Sombra came out, anything major that I've missed in that time that I should know going back to Competitive?

Winston is a lord God and him and his posse will beat you up and take your lunch money.

Tracer is still the secret best character but never mention her online because if she gets nerfed I'm blaming you

Great fucking penalize me for quitting out the game because I didn't wanna sit around watching the game over screen (literally frames before the defeat mssg) Wish it wouldn't do that, I just want to get to the next game.

Only leave during PotG or after. Never leave right at the Victory/Defeated screen. I'm always worried if my group leader would leave early and cause a penalty.

How do you feel about one-trick Mercy mains and characters with OHK abilities?

Reddit is faster than me so here is a list of everything talked about in the Seagull - Scott Mercer interview.

Also for anyone wondering it definitely seems the reason Seagull has been gone for a few weeks definitely has to do with Overwatch League.

You literally just had to wait a couple more seconds just wait until the game tells you you can leave. You have no one to blame but yourself lol

Because DM will last 2 seconds after the nerfs with 10 seconds cool down. Any DPS that can't even aim will de mech you in that time

Get out of here with your rank BS. It's not like this is something new.

Considering what it can stop, a 2 second use with 10s cooldowns seems balanced.

It eats Ults, doesn't block them, doesn't wear down and break if too much damage, just POOF! Gone like was never fired.

I'm happy that they're not happy with the current SR decay system. Some form of decay should exist, but it's so annoyingly oppressive the way it is right now.

A huge red box warning pops up, of all the things to complain about...just wait the extra second, lol.

Cannot quit ranked as a group during the penalty period. In fact if a teammate leaves and timer expires so safe to leave even then cannot quit as group.

Imagine the trolling with random groups if group leaders could do that. Bans and SR penalties in mass.

It weird cos the group quit button is displayed, but it does nothing.

That's awesome. Didn't know that.

It was better before they added it. Forcing people to play just to keep their SR up. This was only an issue when there were SR swings. Since that's gone, why make people suffer with decay.

Cheers, y'all.
Decided to check out Doomfist and Orisa in a quick match first.
As for Doomfist, I'm going to have to put the time in there, it didn't all click in one game, could feel that I was just clumsily using abilities.
I had a blast with Orisa though, which is surprising considering I haven't heard anything particularly glowing about her, she just never stops firing, you can use all of your abilities and just never stop, it's dope.

Screw off with this garbage. There are lazy playes and bust-their-ass players for every character.

I play quite a bit of Mercy, but she is quite easily the easiest hero to play in the game. Not to mention what separates a great Mercy compared to an average Mercy is much less than that of other heroes. As long as the change increases the skill gaps in Mercy players similar to what they are doing with D.Va I think it will be good.

Anything that discourages Mercy from spending her time hiding behind walls and lets her get with her team more is cool with me.

The most interesting thing about Mercy's entire kit is her mobility, and then half the people that play her spend the game in spawn spraying walls, waiting for "their moment".

Tbh what I'm terrified of most is a major change to Guardian Angel. I could see them like changing it to a 4-sec cooldown but it doesn't need an ally/corpse to fly to - not a bad idea at first! - but I'd be like Table_Flip.GIF

Sure but when Winston, Tracer, DVA, Genji and now Doomfist's one hit KO which even took out that Korean Ana Main (one of the best support players in the world) are on your ass every time it's really hard to do that constantly and still remain sane.

I think they should rework Mercy's Ult to restore all Allies within LoS to full HP and remove any negative debuffs on them.

It still fits with the idea of Mercy's ult giving her team a second chance at a fight, but fixes the issue of her being able to sit in spawn and come in after the fight is already over.

This would add some slight mechanical skill to Mercy as a hero, as it would require her to be in the fight and properly balancing her teammate's HP bars in preparation to Ult.

I'm a Mercy main and I hate her hiding playstyle as much as anyone else. It's plain counterintuitive.

I believe Mercy needs some sort of shield ability and less time for rez.

But watch Blizzard turn her into a full DPS hero with missiles!

That literally has nothing to do with skill. Mercy players bust their ass by holding left click in the general direction of their team mates with no concept of CD management or mechanical skills. A player like that should not be allowed near the top 50% of players, let alone the top 0.5%.

I usually like to be in the thick of it as Mercy and lean towards tempo ressing mid-fight, but it really isn't as effective as hiding for a big res a lot of the time. I've started to hide more for big resses and I think it's winning me more team fights than tempo resses. It's not a good feeling.

I do love her mobility. So much so that it often gets me killed because I try to dart forward for quick heals and fly back to safety. It's fun, but too risky to be really worth it. I've found that it's just not as effective as hanging back and playing it safe, which is boring but more consistent.

I disagree with the part about not needing to aim because honestly, her gun is pretty good if you can aim it. A lot of people just don't expect Mercy to be able to aim, so when I pull her gun and shoot back, it seems to catch a lot of people off guard. Part of the fun of playing her is pulling her gun and getting in a lot of damage when people don't expect it. Sometimes it helps finish people off because they don't consider Mercy a threat and expose their flanks to her.

It's a weird feeling to like playing Mercy because I feel like a lot of people frown upon it. She has such a negative stigma attached to playing her that it feels like I'm doing something wrong for liking her. Between being matched with teams that spread out/dive in way too much and Doomfist's ability to wreck you from anywhere, she's become a lot less fun to play her lately. Maybe I'll take another crack at Ana next season.

Eh, I wouldn't be that harsh about it. Her ease of use atm is a legit design issue, and I'm not happy about boosted Mercy OTPs either. At the same time, I don't wanna throw every Mercy player under the bus. I feel bad for the mid level Mercy players that just like her sometimes lol

The real problem is OTP Mercy players who only play Mercy, and the special ones that get boosted way up there.

I just don't wanna be that hostile about it tbh.

There MUST be a better way to handle disconnects on this damn game... just came out of 2 consecutive matches where one of my teammates just sits AFK in base until they get kicked out... and the whole team go on losing points in competitive... that's not fair.

What if Mercy's Ult places a Auto Rez buff on a friendly? Or not even a Rez, just a full heal that triggers when the character would have died.

So if I'm Rein, and my Mercy has Ult'd me, and I get fucked up mid fight, instead of dying, I pop right back up to full HP and Mercy's Ult has been consumed.

That would make for some interesting skirmishes. You'd have Ana's grenade cancel out the Ult. You could always focus fire a target still to fuck them up. Environmental kills would be more effective.
