Determining who gets better in the short term depends entirely on IT's hip and if he can replicate his production from last year. IT had a monster year last year, probably better than Kyrie did. It's not out of the realm of possibility that at least for next year healthy IT and Kyrie are a wash. Long term if the Celts can get Kyrie to buy in and resign though, he fits in better with their young players/assets.

I agree. To be fair, getting Crowder would be pretty huge for the Cavs. Think of the minutes they had to fill last year and how they had to stretch Lebron especially defensively.

And for the Celts, they have elite young players ready to fill Crowders role.

Apart from the trickiness on both sides of potentially aiding your largest short term rival in the East, the parts involved really do make sense for each side.

Only a bad trade due to the Brooklyn pick
That's guaranteed #1

Crowder ain't shit
Wall x Beal will shit on IT if they meet in the playoffs
Zizac is a young Mozgawd

man the Brooklyn pick...Kyrie is young and good but even to me that seems kinda steep considering Kyrie/IT might be a wash for one of the 2 seasons of Kyrie team control. Are Butler/George better than Kyrie?

Goodman says that the Cavs wanted 1 of BK pick, Tatum or Brown. Ainge gave them the pick.
Right move. Take the known asset. Brooklyn could scrap together wins like they did after the all star break and move out of the top 3, you never know.

I'm surprised the LAL pick wasn't requested though.

Posting in here for the first time to express my disbelief at the Kyrie Irving trade....
I don't follow basketball as much as football, but I'll chime in from time to time
Oh, and go Wizards #DCFamily
