It felt like it could be an ending. No next issue cover. Team Marguerites is on Bombshell duty after all.

My 2017 line-up...

🌹 BATWOMAN ⚡
💣 DC'S BOMBSHELLS 👠
🐝 INSEXTS 🌺
🐾 ANIMOSITY 🔥
🐱 JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS 🎶

...and more to come!

Is her bio on twitter. But....Josie is ending, insexts is over/on break after next issue. Animosity has 2 spin off series written by her also. She seems to be busy.

I thought that rule was only for gaming side, I'll remove the post.

It's frowned upon. Especially since it just came out today and you linked to a scan site that pirates every comic lol

I'm just trying to help you avoid trouble.

Btw those pages are fucked. Glad I dropped it after #1

Mother Panic: this is such a great take on supers. I think this might best my favorite DC book. Shade is fun, but Mother Panic is inspired. I guess it's like a Batman book if Batman was a complete train wreck of self destruction and righteous fury.

Nightwing New World Order: Considering what is happening with Batwoman, how fucked up Jason is, Damian's assholery in Injustice, and now Dick in this, I think we can say that Batman really fucks up his wards. I think that Batman exists right on the edge of insanity and watching him not tumble is what makes him a compelling character. By extension, making his sidekicks fall is a deeper personal cut, as we want eternally those who follow to be better than ourselves.

Peter Parker The Spectacular Spider-Man: Karnak is probably the best supporting character in comics. "It's adorable that you think your identity is your 'greatest weakness' when it's clearly your soft, fleshy eyes." Gimme a Karnak and Deadpool book. This book is giving me a sort of Mockingbird vibe in that it's really well paced and plotted.

Saucer State: why hasn't this been made into a TV show yet? Especially with this political climate? Man. Over the top crazy as hell. Plus I think there's ample room for plot expansion to fill out time.

Secret Empire: bout had it with this Black Panther slander. Honestly, the way Spencer is writing this makes me feel like he never wanted to write a big crossover event, but something more understated and along the lines of War of Jokes and Riddles. Like, we gloss right the fuck over these major battle scenes that are typically the meat of this sort of thing and instead get to what everyone is thinking at the moment.

I agree about Mother Panic- it's a great book.

I've read cross and some other fucked up comics but implication of that deadpool kills scene left me uncomfortable.

There's no implication, it's exactly what it looks like. I'm not a fan of it either but in a bizarre way I respect going all in.

By implication is the fact that it's not shown and the cartoon hide and seek game used makes it more disturbing. Especially knowing Wade's character.

To be fair, virtually none of his murders have been shown. Most of them have some sort of saccharine pop filter over them. Not that I'm defending it.

Scans are a no no but the book is shit anyways so we are saving people the 5 bucks that would be better spent on Taco Bell.

I swear it's gonna end with Wade chastising the audience.

I don't know, man. There are so many moments of brilliance. But in a way, yeah, it is a slog. It is way more dense than it needs to be. And when it's so dark in conjunction with being so dense, it's just too much.

It's widely considered to be a classic. But if I could unread it, I totally would. I don't think it's nearly Moore's best work (I would go with Top 10 or Swamp Thing for that one). Though it's not his worst either. I think Lost Girls takes that one.

The fucking sad part is that I think Bunn is actually trying to put an effort in this and it's just not working at all.

I think it's the opposite, Bunn is making everyone job to Wade, even Gwenpool acts off but then again, I doubt Bunn knew about her plans. It just feels like X dies by X due to Deadpool but with no gravitas. At least the first one held something of note.

"But Eddie, why read the book if you are gonna hate it anyways?"
Because I wanted to know why this series needed ANOTHER sequel.

Ant-Man gets burned via magnifying glass. LOL GET IT BECAUSE HE SMALL
The crew who got set up to go after Deadpool all die anyway. LOL GET IT BECAUSE IT WAS FOR NOTHING
Punisher gets zapped by space gun. LOL GET IT BECAUSE POPULARITY.
The random ass Old Man Logan tie in. I don't get why this?

All of that holds no weight sans the recent page that spoiled eariler and even then, it comes off halfassed like how Wade mentioned the Pack in the first one.

Is that the sad part? Honestly I never thought we'd get to a point where Bunn was a Marvel A-lister. :3

I'm shocked he's treated as one and yet, what run did he do that was like "I love the Bunn run of X" Moon Knight?

I haven't read too much from Moore sadly, but I'm hoping his Swamp Thing run gets an omnibus. The first few issues of his run were amazing but I stopped reading in hopes of an omni. Probably my favorite thing from him was Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow

We know that the original is extremely popular so this is being made to capitalize on that.

They will keep making them until it doesn't work anymore. Just look at all the Marvel Zombie books we got.

And then Disney got involved and out of nowhere, Marvel Zombies can't be heroes zombies anymore, it's weird.

I heard Zombies Assemble isn't even with zombies, just brainwashed goons.

But yeah, I'm getting tired of the DP minis but hey, maybe Shavley will save the day.

TEC was nice this week.
Batman sees what you're doing!

Secret Empire 9
I don't really have anything to say. Lots of pretty art, and I liked the talk of Shake Shack.
Ready for this to end. Hype! It's just really too long.
I can't process this Harley news. If Sirens died for this I am so upset. If not. The more the better.
what's her voice sound like in your head when you read comics?
I'll never read that book again. What a slog.
Didn't you just call someone a philistine recently?

Tara Strong :/ used to believe it was Arlene Sorkin but I recently rewatched the animated series and that's not the voice I hear. It's Tara strong.

Deadpool and Punisher have mini series ongoing at all times lol. Personally I think there need to be more minis focusing on characters who can't carry books, but there's probably more money in using the more popular ones.

Just wait until Melissa Rauch voices her in every form of media.

I think that's why the Infinite Comics and now Comixology is happening to give those who can't carry even a mini to get a rub.

I get why Punisher/Strange got a mini but Deadpool has been getting a Mini every damn year since 2013?

What about a Ms. Marvel/Nova mini? America/Hawkkate? Ant-Man/Spider-Man?

Secret Empire remains a slog. It honestly feels like it should've been just between the Captain America books, but the conceit of requiring Hydra Cap to take over the US meant it needed to be bigger. Boring, pretty pictures with no impact.

Spencer is truing WAY TOO HARD to be Hickman's Avengers but stumbles with the heroic setpieces.

There are good "moments" here and there-I particularly liked Taskmaster and Black Ant's scene this week-but yes overall the exact word is "slog".

Sorkin's voice definitely still Harley in my head.

That was the only part that I enjoyed.

Whenever I think of Arlene Sorkin, one of the things is her being able to do that kazoo cover of amazing grace in one freaking take for The Man Who Killed Batman episode before they all lost it afterwards.XD

Because of course Odin
banged Phoenix of course he did

Guessing that will lead to mjonir origins and I will laugh if the hammer turns out to be
the "love child" of Odin and Phoenix
