ATM MVC:I has like four MAYBE five characters I will play, but DBFZ I want to play EVERY single one!
Pretty much exactly how I feel. I'm down for both but dbfz is already more exciting due to the amount of guys I wanna tear into. They really shoulda let mvci cook till next fall.

DBFZ has 1 character I wanna play as. Piccolo!

Shame it's a tag fighter.

DBZF has three characters I currently want to play--Piccolo, Android 16 and Majin Buu.

I don't really have any characters that I'd really like to see at this point. Piccolo's in, and Buu and 16 fill my "big body" quota. Anybody else is just gravy.

For me I just want And I'll have a full team of characters I really like. Wouldn't mind Omega Shenron, either.
Yeah, problem is I like em all. I keep changing my mind on teams constantly. Best is likely gonna be my piccolo/krillin/vegeta team. The assists to lock it down and heal plus the setup potential is huge. Piccolo slow orb rushdown plus coldstar assists from vegeta are just corner hell. Krillin is there as a setup dude in case I can't just pressure to death with vegeta and Piccolo.

Soo eager to play this already.

All I NEED to have on my team is the Galick Gun. I don't care which character gives me that, that character is a lock. So far, it's SSB Vegeta.

So my team is most likely going to be SSB Vegeta/18/Perfect Cell.

I am going to play 3 Gokus on my team. Why? Because I can.

Goku/Blue Goku/Evil Goku/Kid Goku/Gogeta/Vegeto/SS4 Goku

You're joking, but Gogeta and Vegito are priority whenever they're in. And if Merged Zamasu gets in . . .

If we somehow get three Vegetas I'll run them as a team too. Vegeta/Blue Vegeta/SSJ4 Vegeta/Majin Vegeta

Hoping there's a couple more female fighters in DBZF.

yea . . . . . . . . .

I'm not into most of the DBZF cast so far. Really have no interest in the Saiyans or villains. Krillin and Piccolo will be on my team with hopefully Tenshinhan.

They removed my team from MvC3 completely so right now I'm thinking of playing Jedah, Haggar, Strider, and Dante.

Piccolo all day, although krillin is looking surprisingly cool.

I'd love kid buu, or janemba. Oh piccon would be a good choice. Yeah this game is gonna be sick.

To be fair, everyone dies to Eddy, Chloe, and Xiao Yu
Eddy and Chloe are easy to fall back to when you say "lost to mashing", Xiao Yu though?! Does she even have a mash-able low?!!
I get what he's saying though, Tekken isn't a game you can play on the side without a real commitment, I only enjoyed T7 while doing long sets against the same character to the point where I'm at least aware of the match up basics.

Not a mashable low, so much as you try your best but never actually manage to hit her while she just runs circles around you. She's VERY GOOD in this game.

But she does have a very annoying low hitting move that's very difficult to block punish if you don't know what to be looking for.

There's a difference between feeling like you have a lot left to learn and feeling like the game is actively working against you.

feeling like the game is actively working against you is just the scrubquotes version of actually having shit to learn

good on the game making you understand that you ain't shit either way

Tekken 7 is a VERY frustrating entry point into the Tekken series unless you've got people that are willing to help you with every single step.

There's a LOT of things to keep in mind, a lot of things to discover and a VERY high skill ceiling. All of that wouldn't be so bad, if the game at least tries to teach you the basics and the mechanics of the game but it doesn't. The only "tutorial" in the game are the loading screen tips.

I started learning Tekken proper with T7 and it would have been a miserable experience that probably would have turned me away from the game were it not for the very helpful community, and guides made by people like Rip and Aris.

The game should at least bother to teach you BASIC things if not matchup specific things. It should teach you how to break throws, how high/mid/low attacks work, the "components" that are found in a regular combo, how many options you have while waking up, how you can punish those wakeup options, how best to utilize sidesteps, etc. Even just going the cheap route and having pre-made videos in the game teaching you this stuff would've worked. They already made a tutorial series on Youtube featuring members from the community for TTT2, I really don't get why they couldn't do that again.

Even the "titty engine fighting game", DoA5, teaches you most of this stuff.

To be fair, my frustrations with Tekken are my own fault: I shouldn't put such ridiculously high expectations on myself. I'm learning.

Replying to @jchensor

And it IS my first 3D game that I've really ever actually tried to learn to this degree. I just want so bad to learn this game.

Keep in mind nothing that I've said is meant to disparage the game in any way. Tekken 7 is AMAZING and that's why I want to get good so bad.

Exactly. This notion that Tekken 7 is actively working as opposed to say, Tag 2, is flat out wrong.

Tekken 7 is 90% copy and pasted from Tekken Tag 2. If you felt TTT2 worked against you, then you'll feel the same way about T7.
