The beta is over for me still banned after 17 hours, i hope the retail version will work on my account :(

Have i been banned for having cheat engine installed or for having nvidia overlay enabled?

No way it's Nvidia Shadowplay, they specifically mention it in the FAQs as one of the few overlays that should work with Destiny 2, especially since Nvidia is actively supporting development of the game with Nvidia tech.

Is the beginning of the Nessus area, part of the open world area of the planet we will see in the final game?? Seems way too pretty and open to be just for a coop mission.
correct apparently some redditers did a little geography and found that the ground covered in the strike is like 15% of the map

article[/url] and watched this video and despite remaining confused became excited that it's not just menus -> bang bang bang -> back to menus with your ship in orbit, and there's actually some exploring to be done in big areas and stuff to find and tackle in real time.
theres a lot of different aspects and systems involved in destiny. While it is true you will be selecting missions a lot from the director they’ve really streamlined the experience to get you in the action quicker. In addition to this Patrol is returning which as you’ve read includes 4 different semi open world planets with various missions, public events, and secrets to uncover.

they really ought to get rid of aim assist for any non-standard setup for PC. It makes little sense that someones preference gets a boost.

I assume there is aim assist with controller and that is what you mean? I am okay with it if that is the case because KB+M is still way easier than controller with aim assist for PVP and for PVE it doesnt matter.

Getting a good download speed from Blizz servers, always a good start.

Not looking forward to any sort of P2P PvP, but I'm not gonna worry about any of that until the future, if ever.

AIM assist is good for ppl with controllers... but people using m/kb will always end up doing way better

Exit the Blizzard application and re-open it. Mine changed from "Preorder now" (or whatever it originally said) to "Install" after I did that.

this. although speeds are shit. I was downloaidng at 24megs a second (normal for me) now its going all the way down to... 3.3 megs last I checked :/

Have they ever mentioned why most content is for three players instead of four? Such an odd number for co op.

this was in destiny 1 too.

Because most of the content are built for one of each class, its like a bit of mmo, a titan its like a tank for the defensive stuff and leading the charge, a hunter for some ranged and close combat, and a warlock for magic.

Accurate m&kb controls or controller with aim assist, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Edit: Download just started for me. Going slow.

huh? did you read what I wrote?

I'm saying, use a mouse and keyboard. if you want to use a controller on PC for destiny 2, you should NOT get aim assist.

Would there be an issue launching destiny through steam? I know they banned overlays and such.

The game won't connect if you launch it through the exe. It has to be done through the Bnet launcher.

Again, you're basically saying "don't support controllers in Destiny 2 on PC" because the game would be unplayable without aim assist.

ah ok.

Is there a way to solo strikes? I want to explore painfully slow but keep feeling rushed by other players.

Why not? It balances out really well in PvP based on what I've played (I've tried both and prefer gamepad simply because I prefer them). Kb/m defintely has an edge at ranged encounters, but other than it's pretty even as far as I can tell.

I was also very confused and disappointed about the structure of this game.

But then I read this article and watched this video and despite remaining confused became excited that it's not just menus -> bang bang bang -> back to menus with your ship in orbit, and there's actually some exploring to be done in big areas and stuff to find and tackle in real time.

Hmm interesting. Yeah this is what I'm hoping for, more open-world exploration that I can do in between dungeons or raids. Looks like there may be a bit of this in the game, which is nice.

The nice thing about the PC version releasing in October is that I'll have the console reviews coming in next week, and two months of impressions from real people before I have to decide whether or not to keep my pre-order.

I dont see why it matters, if you use KB/M you have a better chance to kill someone who is using a controller with aim assist than against someone using a KB/M. It is actually in your favor for them to use a controller.

Sitting back and watching a teammate Ult into a group of enemies is so visually spectacular every time. <3

Cool, thanks! That's exciting.

Do you think they will be rewarding exploration with lil treasures in the final game? It's completely barren in the beta. Would be cool to spend 15 minutes climbing some structure with friends not just for the challenge and the view, but also to possibly find a hidden chest in some nook up there with something, even if a minor thing like a few credits.

I'll pull up the reddit thread, but software based hit detection will always beat Kb/m if implemented poorly. There seems to be a peaking issue (i.e. reticle will stick to someone that's behind a wall) that apparently is an issue.

Again, your input preference should not be met with software based assistance.

It would be akin to someone using a controller getting double inputs vs an arcade stick in fighting games.
