Okami HD remastered rated by Korean GRB

You're probably correct.

Like I said, Capcom likely doesn't see things like retro compilations and a Zelda-like experience to be viable on a Nintendo platform.

Lol. XD

Fucking Capcom, man.

I'm not buying it again but I'm happy it's coming to PC, always good news.

Most underrated game of all-time and truly one of the best games I've ever played. Pity about no Switch version, but I'm all in for a fourth-time purchase.

Because it ruins the damn topic.

True. Like saying PLS GIMME GAME is just incessant whining. It's not a question directed towards anything or a statement that spurs on discussion. No one here is going to provide a significant enough answer as to why Capcom is ignoring a certain platform. There's a reason why mods don't allow it.

Will double dip depending on how much of a graphical improvement there is, bought it for PS3 some months ago but haven't played it yet.

How likely is it that the PS4 version will be cross-buy with the PS3 version? If it ends up being cross-buy I'll end up kicking myself for not picking it up in that one Humble Bundle. x_x

I sure hope the physical release happens! I'd honestly buy a copy just to keep sealed. I love this game too damn much.

My fiancee actually named one of her Shibas after the game lol, she played it before, I never got to, she always told me how amazing the game is. So I can't wait to check it out :D

This, although highly unlikely.

As much as I love the game I can't triple dip unless they confirm this. It's already longer than it should be and unskippale redundant dialogue doesn't help.

If somehow by some miracle they do fix that shit, I'm getting the PC version.

That's awesome! I wanted to do the exact same thing, but my wife doesn't like the general temperament of that breed. We settled on a corgi and I got to name her Zelda, so I can't complain too much though. I still want my shibe some day though!

In relation to the game, I hope you'll enjoy it! The beginning is kind of slow, but if you're willing to stick with it and appreciate the art design it's definitely worth it!

Awesome, now to hope for arbitrary frame rate support. I'm in even if it's locked at 30 though. It'll be great to have this on PC.

Has this game been announced? Where!?

A topic about a rumored game without announced platforms? How someone dare to discuss platform choices!

Well if you knew how to read properly or bothered to read the OP, you would have seen that the ratings were for PC, PS4 and X1.

I wouldn't be surprised if they'll announce it for Switch as well but with the caveat that it'll release a couple months later than on PS4/XBO/PC (this being the reason why the Switch version is not listed or rated anywhere yet). Considering Capcom makes a late Switch port of Revelations, I don't see why they wouldn't do the same for Okami.

Best Zelda game.
From an annoying sidekick that spoils the solution to every puzzle to artificially streching the content by a dozen hours -- Okami is guilty of pretty much every game design sin of modern Zelda (well, more accurately pre-BotW Zelda I suppose). It looks nicer than most Zeldas, though.

If the port of this is as good as Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, we're in for a treat. I'm hoping for an unlocked framerate and the ability to skip through dialogue and cutscenes. Okami HD was a wonderful treat on the PS3, but imagining this at 4K @ 60fps or more is something else.

But I just want unlocked framerate and the skipping option to really make the PC version the definitive way to play the game.

Wii version had this (USA at least, can't remember the other ones), I've always wondered why they removed it on PS3, which I'm fairly confident was based on the former code - they're both missing the rice paper effect for example.

Not true. PS3 version has the rice paper effect and allows you to control how strong the effect is.

Yeah Shibas are super stubborn, they don't like to listen unless you have something with you (toy/treat etc), thanks for the info and I definitely will! :)

Had Okami for PS2 but never got close to finishing it. The art style was great but the image was so blurry that it really fatigued my eyes.

If the PC port is crisp and lets you move through dialogue faster, I might be in.

HNNNNNNNNNG. Baby gimme dat retail.
I'll be pissed if it comes out on Switch later on after I got the PS4 one.
First AAA game ever I'll double dip on.

Best Zelda game.

For that it would need better dungeons. One of the better ones though, for sure.

And if you read the thread, you would know that the Switch isn't even out in Korea, and this isn't even an official announcement.

I honestly forgot about the strength selector.

But I stand by my assertion, I just should have worded differently: the effect _basically_ isn't there (Wii has it too but it's fixed) because has a completely different feeling compared to the original PS2 version.

Unfortunately, I should add. :-(

Okami is one of my favourite games of all time, but I doubt that a PC or PS4 version is going to be a big enough upgrade over the PS3 version to warrant triple-dipping.

It'd be the most Capcom movie ever to not bring this to Switch so I'm not even surprised.

Just give it time. Surely this port was greenlit well before anyone knew how successful Switch would be. They could still release Okami on Switch in 6 months from now and the audience would still be there.
