Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle |OT2| Passing Stones

I tried Naruto Blazing on a whim just to see how the other half lives and uhh it kinda seems like it's a better game than Dokkan. I just don't know/care jack shit about Naruto. But I did 3 multis and got 5 SSR equivalents including what I gather to be 2 top tier units and the gameplay is a bit more involved and engaging than popping bubbles. Anyone play this thing?

I've been playing it since launch. They're added a lot of gameplay refinements in the last several months making the grinding of upgrade materials more accessible (Limit Break crystals, as well as various other items), altering a few of the game modes, adding daily missions (can easily get two pearls/in-game currency daily this way), etc. They've also added sync abilities to encourage bringing specific characters/elements along in your team, as well as field zones to watch out for (chakra reducing, poison, etc.) as well as means to push/pulls mobs into them, via your various abilities. Lots of guaranteed banners too, where you're guaranteed to pull the advertised characters/characters after a set amount, as well as discounted pulls. Also, pulling dupes in the game is actually a good thing (generally), as it lowers team cost as well as unlocks new abilities for them and increases their luck. It has its share of problems, but then all gacha games do.

It's nice to see a lot of new faces over in the OT for the game, and the current anniversary (although it's winding down with only a few days remaining) was/is a great time to start playing (for those amazing SO6P Naruto/Rinnegan Sasuke banners).

If anyone is new to the game (or thinking of joining), feel free to join us in the OT and post your ID so we can add each other. Our community is on the small side, but the anniversary brought in a lot of new players which is really cool to see.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
I decided to torture myself by throwing 65 stones worth of single pulls at cooler last night. Got 3 SSR's, including dupes for frieza and black, but I am still living in a world of darkness.

I will say I'm seeing a lot of Coolers on my friend list. Useless to me but I'm still glad people aren't sleeping on him. Really hope they revamp the friend system at some point tho. As well as most of the UX honestly.

Did a pull on the PHY Max banner and came away with SSR SSG ss Vegeta and SSR Gohan teen. Got dupe Thousers on my Dokkan fest banner before that so hopefully he is decent.

I have very little history with this series but the game has got me quite motivated to dive in.

did 2 last singles on the phy banner because that gohan and buu are dope as hell.
got phy pan (dupe) and that ssj2 gohan with the awesome dokkan.
I'm fine with this.

Got Cooler last night. He will be someone good to add to my rainbow extreme team. Just need to figure out how to beat his event and get some of those medals. Very tough.

Haha this sort of tempts me to try it out on curiosity but I'm not sure I need another one for these.

Potential Orb event has me so hype. I just can't ever get enough AGL orbs.
Also excited for Goku Jr and SS3 Angel Goku (whenever the hell he drops).

Is that a summon event where we get orbs as an award sort of like the ones that give elder kais? I saw those banners for Japan but wasn't sure exactly how they worked.

I'll give it a shot.

Also, I'm debating using 40 stones on the PHY banner for the Buu and 2 Elder Kais or just saving up. Leaning towards saving. I have a feeling with the way Super is moving Goku is about to get a new killer card pretty soon.

Yup just started playing. Currently playing it while waiting for the next banners to pop up.

I also started Bleach Brave Soul but missed out on their Anniversary event so I stopped lol.

I've been playing since launch as well, and it is a better game. If dokkan was half as fundamentally sound as Blazing I'd be so happy. The grinding still sucks though, even with the changes.

It is the better game. I stopped playing because I know nothing about Naruto and ended up getting into Final Fantasy Exvius which is a better game than Naruto.

Most annoying thing about Naruto was how unfriendly to new players the multiplayer is.

In terms of Gachas I've tried, for pure gameplay I'd rank them:

FF Exvius
Naruto
Fire Emblem
Puzzle and Dragons
One Piece
Marvel Future Fight
Dragon Ball Dokkan
Digimon Heroes

I only play Dragon Ball because I like the IP and play Exvius because I like the game. I would have dropped this game a long time ago if I wasn't into Dragon Ball.

These medals are a myth aren't they?

I never even had to grind this much to get Future Gohan Medals to drop...

You're better off checking in with Baba regularly to see if she stocks them. I've gotten a bunch that way since the store update. The grape apes suck anyway, so there's no rush to awaken them.

Are any of these on-par with SSJ4 Goku/Vegeta as far as leaders go?

Gogeta's team is the best 120% team, he's ridiculously good.

SSJ3 Angel Goku is pretty good, but one of the optimal units hasn't come yet (it's adult gotenks). Still a good unit.

Super 17 is an alright unit with an alight team. His 40% damage reduction is good as a tank but he needs to take damage for him to actually get the 120% attack buff. His banner does come with SSJ4 Vegeta if you want to get him.

Kid buu had so much potential to be good. His super heals 12% Hp he gets a 170% attack buff when his HP is above 30 and his super animation is pretty cool, but he suffers from having no ki links which is a problem, because you need to take orbs from Buuhan to kid buu.

Janemba is a great tank but isn't that hard hitting. Extreme STR is a good team with cell omega shenron LR Freeza and LR Brolybut Super STR is so much better. Janemba is still a good unit with his tanking for a villans team.

Gogeta is purely amazing. He's hard hitting, super effective against all types, has an amazing team to have and he's the hardest hitting TUR in the game (4th hardest hitter if we includes the LRs). Save your stones for this guy, he also fits on a fusions team when ever we get Gogeta and Shenron's leader skill.

There's also PHY gotenks who is really good on an amazing team (Blue Vegito makes the team). He was going to be good but Bandai made him so much better. He's also useful on a fusions team as well.

I'm pretty sure we're never getting that adult Gotenks or any of those Heroes cards. Super TEQ is a solid middle of the pack team but they lack defensive utility, although TEQ Bardock is one of the better sealers and LR Goku's best friend. Definitely save for INT Gogeta if you're not hard up for any of the cards in the interim because his banner features all the super leaders to date except SSJ4 Vegeta.

Extreme INT is such a jank-ass team, I have no clue what they were thinking not giving Kid Buu Shocking Speed. It's like once they make up their mind to give a type of card shit links they never deviate from it. All Kid Buus have this problem, just like all Frieza cards have crap links for villains teams etc.

But hey at least he's not SSJ3 Broly

That's what I'm probably going to end up doing once Goku Jr drops!

What? I've gotten 6 out of the 8 runs and dokkaned both my Vegeta and Raditz. Just need 3 more once I've collected all my Napa.

Just did my first pull on the Coora banner, hoping for a PHY Black, ended up getting Coora FF, Dupe SSJ Bardock PHY, and my first fat buu. Eh, better than nothin I guess.

Wait why wouldn't we get the Heroes cards? Because Heroes isn't a thing in the US? Be kind of a bummer as I rather liked that SSJ3 Adult Gotenks card.

Licensing I think and for the reason you mentioned. Plus if we were going to get them we'd have gotten them like 6 months ago or something. They've been in Global's database forever. Don't count on them being released ever.

Dumb, rookie question I'm sure, but is it advisable to max SA at all times before awakening [any] units? Or are there SAs that are worth the grind/wait? Is there a good list around? It's somewhat daunting to think I have to max the SA of every unit I get before I even attempt awakening them up...

Long road ahead
