First, the thread is moving by far the slowest it has in at least a year. That is sad.

Second, got the Harley omnibus and it's VERY nice. Great binding, great paper, nice looking.

Dust cover or no? Art underneath?

I've been spending less and less time here. I haven't read many comics in weeks. Not feeling it right now.

The dust jacket looks really nice. Underneath is printed art, but it's not ART. It's just "HARLEY QUINN" in big letters wrapped around the cover board. It's hard to explain. I'll take a picture when I get a minute.

What are your all's favorite superhero teams from DC and Marvel?

My favorite Marvel team is Fantastic Four, and my favorite DC team is JSA.

So, looking at the current lineup at DC and Marvel, I am obviously sad.

I used to be intimidated by how quickly it moved back when I only posted in like one thread a year. It's crazy slow this month.

The discussion went down when I started posting more. I'm sorry.

Yeah, I am curious if Rage of Ultron did well or badly. I suspect it didn't do great, otherwise we'd have seen more books like it, but I think that was badly affected by the fact it sounded like a sequel to AoU rather than a standalone.

And anyone who saw Avengers 2 and then went to read Age of Ultron probably swore off comics forever.

The biggest problem with Rage of Ultron being an OGN was the fact that its actually now cannon lol. OGNs should be competely separate from continuity imo. But with the latest Uncanny Avengers run, RoU became canon which is awesome but at the same time super akward for those that hadnt even heard of it lol.

Rage of Ultron was always regarded as canon from what I remember. The cause for debate was whether it took place before or after Secret Wars.

Doom Patrol and X-Force

BPRD is the third pillar of good team comics

I grew up in the 90s, so the answer is X-Men and Teen Titans. I know that a super basic answer, but I love them both so much. Big teams, drama, romance, betrayal, growing up. I love it. I feel a lot of nostalgia for those characters because of the comics and cartoons. Original X-Men cartoon and Evolution were both shows I loved when I was a kid, as well as the Teen Titans one. Ensemble casts are so wonderful when they get to develop the characters (probably why I like Fire Emblem so much, too).

It's no surprise that I'm really into lots of stories about teenage years/growing up.

We keep getting teases that JSA will be back, but it's been a long time. It seems to me that the common trait between those two, and the reason I like them both as well, is that they focus a lot on character interactions, not just action without any real development. JSA was so great about during the Johns/Goyer and later just Johns run).

Red Hood and the Outlaws and Detective Comics (both of which I'm months behind on) are actually scratching that itch for me a bit right now, which is surprising.

I started an Exiles re-read this week and damn this book is just as good if not better than I remembered. Oh how I missed Blinky-poo.

Dammit! I didn't realize I got Your Black Friend in that Eisner humble bundle. I shipped that internationally over a month ago... Good book, though. Glad I have two copies. haha. I also forgot I had Kim and Kim, so I gotta give that a read.

Whedon's Astonishing X-Men and the current run of Detective Comics, honestly.

Finally got down to reading Uncanny X-Force. It's fantastic, honestly it feels unlike any other X-comic I've read before. Just hit Dark Angel Saga and am dreading the end of it.

How many of the characters are available as figurines? I know Deadpool is a Hascon exclusive (uggh never going to get that one) but what about the others?

Metal #2 up to read digitally! Shall get through it before sleep.

Just finished it.

It's a pretty wild ride, Snyder's drawing on some things I wasn't expecting.

This is one of those stories where I finish the issue and immediately want the next one, but Snyder/Capullo/Miki + FCO work so damn well together as a big team I'll wait. I really hope Doomsday Clock is good too, because two "events" of sorts in quick succession, and both keeping up the quality, would be pretty wonderful.

Metal is so great. So many tie backs to previous stories.

Can any DC experts name everyone in the scene
in the Legion of Doom
?

I could name like 2 or 3. Only the semi-obvious ones like
Ra's and the Phantom Stranger
.

FFFFF @ Batmanium.

Apparently it was "revealed" back during the Superheavy/Bloom stuff of Snyder's Batman run...although it's not like he cares for subtlety in some names.

Well I've gone on about my love of the x-men many times on here so that ones pretty much a given for Marvel.

For DC I think its a bit of a tougher choice, to be honest I wouldn't say anything recent from them, but I would probably go Young Justice into Teen Titans. Was such a charming run of these pretty much kids going into teens, with all the friendship, self doubt and fun you'd expect from kids that age. The main difference being there all super powered and they've all got such big legacies to live up too. Close team runners up for DC are Secret Six and Outsiders.

Cain, Abel, Jason Blood, Ra's, Savage, Morgaine le Fay, Shazam, Phantom Stranger, Uncle Sam. There's two with their back to the reader who I can't make out.

The dude chained to the wizard Shazam is probably post Darkseid War Billy/Shazam

jon bones

hot hot hanuman-on-man action
been on a big Valiant tear lately but i do miss the big 2 sometimes

harley quinn is avatar worthy in the nsm #15 cover too:

I think one of the ones with their back turned has to be Queen of Blood since she was with Ra's in the Casting.

Ha its going to be spoiler tag city on here today isnt it, no that I blame people can't wait to get home and read new Metal issue myself.

Anyone read the Titans tie in issue yet? Does it look like the Gotham resistance tie in storys going to be worth a read?

The best part of Metal was
the Immortals plan to weaponize the Anti-Monitors brain and shoot it through the Rock of Eternity.
Simply amazing.
