Button for jumpshots and stick for Dunks because I have control over what type of dunk. Stick for FTs as well
I think it's a bug with this game. I saw a screenshot either in this thread or another thread for this game with the exact same white mark in the exact same place, and at least one other person commented that they had it too.
That commentor said they had the same thing on PC, too. Seems to be a game issue.
Good to know. Means it's more likely to get fixed.

So defending pass and ballhandling SF has the best stats in the game. Too bad there are no HOF badges.

Damn the loading times on the PS4 are atrocious. I'm having a good time with the game but it takes upwards of 2-3 min to load myplayer.

I haven't tried it, but it sounds like we just need to leave the game on the "play now" option for a while.

Edit** this above worked for me! Waited a minute then I pressed X to look at my mycareer files and I saw my old file there. Phew!!! 😅 I'm back to playing this

MyCareer is terrible this year. I thought Longshot on Madden was kind of corny but at least that had a decent story.
The non skippable cutscenes are mostly pointless and more time is spent outside of games than in them.

At the point where the loading is hindering my enjoyment of my career. And I can't even access the closet in my apartment. I click X and it does nothing.
Definitely not alone. I just can't get it right. Guess I'll go on scrimmage and spend some time with the team I'm using.

Is there a way in MyGM/League to force a person to always be a starter when they do rebuild rotation? I don't care about the higher rating, I want my starting 5 to always be what I want to set it to. Rebuilding after injuries is a pain.

Definitely the analog. I can't get timing to work with the button at all. Once I started playing the "pro stick" starting in 2K15, there is no going back.
Although my timing is also messed up in '18 and always slightly late so need to change things up. Been playing a Post Center instead of my SF because of that since I don't have the same issues with Post or Dunks.
U mean shot creator primary, slasher secondary or the other way around? Shot creating finisher = slasher primary, shot creator secondary and can't really shoot the 3.
I'm happy I only got one HoF badge. U need 72.000 points to get a gold badge. Can't imagine how many points u need to unlock an HoF badge. 😑
I love the post spin move btw. Can't dribble at all with my character, but using a post spin is an easy way to get to the basket.

I noticed that I miss pretty much any shot with a GOOD rating. It's frustrating because GOOD seems to be the very next level to EXCELLENT if I'm judging by the look of the meter. SLIGHTLY LATE and SLIGHTLY EARLY are much more likely to go in than GOOD.
And yeah, you miss layups constantly at the start. Gotta tempt you to pay for VC for the fast upgrade (assuming you're talking about MyPlayer).

I am having a good time playing Post with Center this year, much more so then in 2K17. I played through Prelude and in 2KU with a few different centers and still trying to figure out which build I want to play.
Although the latest one I have been messing around is quite fun, Post Primary/Driving &Finishing Secondary with 7'1" at 270 lbs. It is pretty awesome as he is actually pretty quick for a Center but has a good vertical and strong enough to do well while having really good layups and dunks.
Alternatively I have been working on Shot Creator/Pass&Ball Handling SF at 6'8" so I can get 86 ball handling for speed boost eventually as well as dunk package 4. It's a really good build with the biggest issue being that my shots have been off on timings. Really need to work on that.

Prime DRose is probably a top 10 PG of all time easy. Absolutely one of the greatest players on the court. I even thought he was close to it during the last bulls outing. Hadn't seen him play aggressive like that since his MVP year. God I hope he does well in Cleveland as a Chicago fan. His body just gave out on him
I play on superstar difficulty and the struggle can get real at times lol. Ive had games in the 30s in terms of fg percentage, they really upped the difficulty this year.
Ive had to be way more conservative with my shots this year to even average 40s in my fg percentage.

Regarding the Switch version, I saw a video saying that playing with 2k cam is a bit jittery compared to being smooth in the broadcast camera. Has anyone noticed this?

Loaded my game tonight on Switch, and got the corruption errors. I created a new character with the exact same first and last name (skipped the appearance) and when the main menu loaded, my original 2K player returned. Phew.

My brother just had his save disappear, he did the hover over play now thing and it seemed to recover a save file.
He loaded his career and it started from the very first cutscene i.e. Before you even set your position/archetype/height/weight

I liked the jimmy butler trade but didn't like what we got. I love lavine and actually liked Dunn before getting drafted. I do believe he had a bad rookie season. Markenaan is probably the most nba ready pick we've actually had in a long time and doesn't need to adjust like mirotic. Where he plays the 3 point line is standard nba. Lauri definitely can be another porzingas. I was salty on the pick at first but after seeing international play I think we might have a sleeper

I'm new to 2k but the vc really feels pay to win to me. I only get like 700 per games and I'm a 64 overall while I'm seeing a lot of people that are around 85. Are most people just playing a lot or is everyone buying vc?
It is pay to win, and yes, a lot of people are buying vc.
You're looking at more than 250 games with an A grade or higher to get to 85 OVR with the current way u get VC from games. Even more if u are getting a lower grade. That's like 3 full seasons playing every game. Gonna take 100 hours of playing MyCareer games. �� They gotta balance that stuff out a bit man.
Also, nice fucking defense guys. Where the fck are IT and Lebron going?

Accrding to articles I've read, it's costs roughly $50 in VC in order to get yourself up to 85.
Speaking of pay to win: I had some fun playing online 3v3 for about an hour earlier. Then there was one tiny guy I matched up against with an 85 OVR who was decked out in retro Bulls gear. He was releasing his shots instantly and simply couldn't miss. That dude was maybe a 6'2" PG and I'm a 6'10" PF, but I was sticking to him well. It's just the second he got any separation he rose right up and hit the jumper every time. Ridiculous.
The game was close in the end, though, cause he wouldn't play D.
All of the other matches I had were filled with people who couldn't hit shit, so everyone camped under the basket for putback dunks/blocks.
Yeah, the overhelping is causing some bad team defense. They got to tune this, because its tough trying to play defense when you got to babysit some of these ai teammates too much.

I'm not starting a mycareer until they add in the option to skip the cutscenes. They have been utterly unbearable the last few years, im not sitting through the atrocious ones this year lol. The cut scenes in the prelude were so bad it was comical.
I just want to play games)practice one after the other and skip all of the story crap. Of course I'm playing on pc so the odds of getting any sort of patch same time as consoles is slim.
Is B the pass button on Switch? It looks to me like you have the play calling overlay on and the play is telling you to pass to Curry.

The best part of the Switch version, the online competition is REALLY REALLY REALLY bad compared to the average people I played on ps4/360 the last decade.
Tripled the score of someone who clearly spent like $200+ on my team I kinda felt bad. I'm not even that good and my team is mostly silver/bronze.

It is, but if that's what the icon was for, I'd expect pressing B to automatically pass to that player every time. I've tried it and half the time it doesn't actually seem to go to him.
Maybe that is it, but it just seems weird that it's prompting you to press B when really you need to manually select the player with the stick and then press B.
Has anyone actually received a email address confirmation on creating a 2k player account on Switch?
I just had it come up saying my account expired because I hadn't clicked the email confirmation. I recreated using same details, and fortunately my data and stuff is still there but I'm still not getting this confirmation, not in spam folder or anything.
Edit: To add, you can't log in on the website because NID isn't an option, only Steam/PSN/Xbox Live are.
