Born While Black
Seriously.
Ain't even a year old and already facing racism.
Born While Black
i know right! unbelievable!
Whatever. the races of the babies aren't super clear in the pictures, none of the news articles mention race, but if you're anything less than 100% certain the OP's choice to frame this as a clearly race-based incident is accurate, you're defending child abusers and probably a racist yourself.
I mean you could flip the narrative just as easily and ask why is it so vital that these people be racist in addition to being generally awful people mistreating hours-old infants. I don't have a problem calling out racism (I really don't) but the evidence for that so far is kind of weak.
I'm gonna quote a mod post from a couple pages ago
because it would really help if someone had an answer.
I mean it's more likeIt doesn't matter. What does matter is why people are so adamant to see if it's race related as if it adds any context. The action has been done, and all I'm hearing is "Yea she's horrible enough to fuck with a newborn, but at least she's not horrible enough to be a racist". There's something in this country that just refuses to let racism be. I understand your skepticism *actually, I dont* i can almost hear people screaming "Not everyone is out to get blacks!" It boggles the fuck out of me that no matter what the precursor Is, if you add "to a black person" immediate superstition applies.
Example: "Man robs and attacks passerby"
Forum: "Man that's awful, he should be locked up!
Example: "Man robs and attacks black man in hate crime
Forum: "Ok so he robbed him we know, but how do we know if it was because he's black????"
Do you see what it does to the crime/incident when you dismiss shit like this. To be clear, if it turns out this baby is whiter than shady, NOTHING CHANGES
Holy shit.Hmm, I find the video funny. But I also would understand why some people would me upset over it. However, my daughter is 10 months old and I've used her like a puppet to dance to all sorts of music.
I mean it's more like
Example OP: "Man robs and attacks black man in hate crime"
Example Article linked in OP: "Man robs and attacks passerby" (no mention of race or hate crimes)
Forum: "OP, are you sure it's a hate crime? It doesn't say anything about that in the article you based your thread on"
HIPAA violations alone can be criminal.I genuinely think she should have an investigation. Not sure anything criminal was committed (am not a legal expert) however ethically it's very wrong indeed and she should have the consequences of her actions. Ignorance isn't an excuse and I doubt she is ignorant. She is after all a trained nurse working in the military.
So pray tell if its not racism why is she giving the finger to certain newborns of a particular color, calling them little satans and making them specifically dance to rap music?
edit: can't see the video so don't know the race of that baby in the video so not sure if she was targeting certain babies or not.
The official statement is pretty good at unambiguously condemning her actions. The police in general could learn a thing or two about this.
According to howdyjacker, you don't need to know the race of the babies for this act to be "absolutely race inspired." The racial ties are "obvious" and "asking for the race of the babies is freaking inconsequential."
Come on! Keep up!
With how quick to judgment this forum can be on a regular basis, it always bring me a chuckle that it's always racism that gets us the most patient of the "wait for facts" gaf.
That being said:
Why do so many here seem to see "mini-satans" as a racial slur?
You're moving the goal posts.
It's fucked up no matter what. But it is undeniably worse if it's motivated by racism.
Yeah, I'm with many others - I don't see how racism comes into play here. It's a nurse trying to be funny by utterly overstepping her professional boundaries, which really should be enough to go "Huh. That's fucked up."
experience with it being used as a racial slur.
"i got followed in stores too when i was a teenager."
it helps to read the OP
It's a term used for annoying/exhausting children.
I'm sure it can be used in a racist way, as much as any negative term, I'm just against the notion that usage implies racist usage, seeing how people jumped to that assumption before they had seen eveb the skin colour of the infant.
Btw, can anyone link to the picture itself? Can't find it.
There is literally nothing in the original stories that point to racism being more likely than that they hate babies and like 50 Cent.
The picture's in this article.
"Dad, I got robbed by this racist asshole, luckily I recorded it."
"That's great son, we'll get th-. Hold on now, I can't tell if this guy is an asshole or not. The footage isn't really clear"
"The fuck it matters, he robbed me?"
"Nah I get that, but if we're going to call this guy a robber, a racist, and an asshole, we gotta be 100% sure son, no regrets."
"I love you dad."

HIPAA is federal law. No patient identifiers can be revealed by any healthcare provider. She might not be going to jail but she's probably paying a fine and she will never work in the healthcare field again. She's also probably getting sued and good luck with that defense
It's weird. People are arguing the race of the baby as if it isn't 100000% fucked if it ain't racist.
I really don't understand.

They probably should not even be allowed to be there without supervision. While they have widely been referred to as Navy nurses, Thompson, 21, and Barrett, 23, are actually hospital corpsman and not registered nurses. Sean Cronin, a Jacksonville area attorney who has filed medical malpractice suits dozens of times against the Naval Hospital, told WJXT-TV that the corpsman are the equivalent of civilian certified nurses assistants. They are supervised by doctors and nurses and are not licensed. He said he expects the women will face dishonorable discharge from the military and possible criminal charges, while their supervisors could also face punishment, including firing.
Taking a picture of a patient and posting it to social media is enough to get you fired in any hospital in the country. They're done.
It's basically the discussion stupid vs malicious, which is she?
To me, the racist aspect would require a harsher punishment. That's why I think figuring it out is worth the time.
Guess I wouldn't be maximum disgusted if it wasn't racist.
But you are completely right, it doesn't really matter, it's a shit person acting like garbage no matter what.
And it's not "funny".
Literally just had a judge acquit a cop because the black man he killed "Would probably have a gun anyway". Try to call a nurse racist though, we'll we gonna need forensics on this.
Tell me something, if this baby is any color other than white but not black, is it still racism?. If this baby is Spanish, do you think she should get the same punishment as if it was a black child?
To answer question 1: I honestly had no idea, but seeing how my brown haired head was golden blonde at first, it makes sense. Are people not aware that new born black babies often aren't born brown and that skin pigmentation comes a bit later. Do they think the nurse djd not know the race of these babies?
If the baby was black it was a racists things. If thats your go to question I'd seriously reasses your priorites.Did the rap music made this a racist thing? Maybe the lunatic crazy people just hated babies. Well i'm happy that it got sorted out anyway and punishment is due.
If the baby was black it was a racists things. If thats your go to question I'd seriously reasses your priorites.
That's often how black babies look when they are newborn as I say in a post earlier.Oh, i didn't know it was a black baby. It's hard to tell and it does not say that in the article. The baby looks kinda red to me and i didn't watch the original material.
Are people not aware that new born black babies often aren't born brown and that skin pigmentation comes a bit later. Do they think the nurse did not know the race of these babies?
There's no "arguement" to be had here.
They'd have to know real-life black people to know that..
That's often how black babies look when they are newborn as I say in a post earlier.
So a hypothetical person doesn't know what a black baby looks like new born but feels the need to question the race of the baby and say question if this was really racist. No, you need to see new born black babies, which is a completely different thing.
All newborn babies look pretty much like a tomato. Sure they might have been racists but isn't "just" abusing babies horrible and newsworthy enough?
She's a nurse she'd know the fucking race of these babies. All newborn babies look pretty much like a tomato. Sure they might have been racists but isn't "just" abusing babies horrible and newsworthy enough?
white women are so vile
