Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite |OT| Marvel vs. Capcom: 4 Female Characters

So if I just walked in and picked up a deluxe edition today, would I just get the season pass or would I still get the costumes even though I didn't preorder?

Trying to weigh if I should get the deluxe edition or just get the standard edition and take a wait and see approach with the DLC characters or get the pass later down the line
The Deluxe Edition only comes with the season pass which only gets you the DLC characters. The PS4 version had an exclusive costs for Captain Marvel in both the standard and Deluxe version.

man really liking Thanos, my team feels much better than when I was fumbling around with GR. This is cool :D

I really like that online matches are 2 out of 3, you can get some nice sets.

If any PC noobs (or pros that want a practice dummy) want to add a fellow nooblet feel free http://steamcommunity.com/id/rhaknar

I got to Capt Marvel's #10 trial on pad and nope the fuck out once I saw the demonstration. Do they really think people are going to be able to do that?

just the Season Pass and Carol if you are on the PS4.

Thanks for the info.

In that case, I'll just get the regular edition and see if things turn out well enough for me to get the Season Pass later.

With GameStop bucks, I should be able to knock off at least $35 off of it.

I'm missing Carol for some reason was I supposed to do something to unlock that outfit?

It's a code printed and inside the case, if you got the deluxe edition it should be in the same place where you find the printed code for the season pass.

If you already input the code, the costume will show up after the game updates and allows you to connect to the internet.

Hearing all these complaints about matchmaking has me worried. I'm hoping it's just technical issues and not a low player base problem.

As much as I love fighting games I really do think $60 is too much to ask for them. Capcom isn't going to attract any non-fgc people to a game with a $60 barrier to entry. I know lots of people at work or in my neighborhood that play lots of games but have zero desire to play this.

I'm wondering if f2p would be a viable future for fighting games. Give everyone MvC:I for free with Ryu and Cap and just charge $5 per character or $60 for the bundle or something. That way you have the possibility of bringing in casual fans that might get hooked on the gameplay. I feel like there has to be a semi large untapped market of players who would get into games like MvC:I if it wasn't $60 up front.

Like... HOW does a human mind learn to play a fighter such as this when you come from mk and sf? Lol feels impossible atm. So fast

It's like I'm fighting max difficulty A.I.

Love the game tho

You just described the Killer Instinct model.

Feel free to add me on Steam if you're in the UK/EU... fair warning though, as with most Capcom fighters, I am fucking terrible. http://steamcommunity.com/id/iamspinky/

Kind of scared to try online right now because I'm stuck in a place with pretty bad internet for another eight days or so, but it'll be the complete opposite when I get back home.

If only Killer Instinct actually had customizations that were good and people would pay for. A lot of the KI community are more than happy to open up their wallets for good costumes and customization but nope.

Colour packs and those shitty gold skins aren't cutting it.

Here are some of my initial thoughts on the final product;

My son loved watching me play through story mode. He is four. Take that as you will.

I love playing the game and can't wait to take a deeper dive, I need to learn the commands.

I was a alt costume completionist in MVC3. If costumes are $4 each then Capcom will be pushing me out of that habit and I'll only buy for mains. If they offer bundles of costumes at a discount that would go a long way towards squeezing some more money out of me.

They're starting to do discounted bundles for the SFV costumes, so I wouldn't be surprised if we got costume bundles in MvCI as well.

Also doesn't help there's jack shit to spend gold on. Have like 10K just sitting collecting dust.

I totally believe so. It's what I wanted for SFV.

Sadly KI doesn't seem to be faring very well atm. Hoping the steam release injects some new life into it.

KI's been out a really long time, and fared remarkably well all things considered. It's a small miracle a previous dead Xbox-exclusive-IP (til soon) lasted as long as it had.

The model is easily my favorite of all the fighter as a service models. It just needed more costumes over time, but that probably came down to Microsoft's budgeting.

I haven't even jumped into Missions yet, I imagine if it's anything like 3 it will be basic nonsense and then immediately into mind bending impractical garbage. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised, thankfully you only need to complete 5 characters and do 100 total for the trophies. Ultimate was a nightmare.

These mission mode combos have always been jank unoptimized or unreliable combos anyway.

can anyone confirm if you can share the season pass/DLC between PSN Profiles?

or is it locked like SFV?

I buy my stuff mostly from the brazilian store but my main account is american, I hate the fact that I need to switch profiles just to play Street Fighter V with all the extra content.

There's no CFN in MvCI (even though MvCI uses a modified version of SFV's netcode), so I'm not sure you'll face similar issues in terms of sharing the 2017 Character Pass.

IntelliHeath

As in "Heathcliff"
I'm not even sure what the "service" model entails. Like Capcom is just going to keep selling $5 costumes to a few thousand people?

It's their plan to push more contents into the game. So we are going to pay for characters and costumes. I'm not sure about the stages.

Going with SSFV rumor, they are more likely to add more single players contents for free in the future.

If the game bomb then all plans would be out of the window.

They're good sometimes for learning about spacial properties of some moves since the move list doesn't provide any details about what they do (Capcom are the only ones not doing this for some reason) but yeah I wouldn't think of them as essential combos.

Also Dahbomb, any major player using Firebrand or Nemesis?

Man the magic series is really hard for me in this game for some reason. I never dropped basic launch combos in Marvel 3 ever in the beginning. Also fast wave dashing and air dashing is really unreliable to me. I really have to slow my inputs to get things to work but my reflexes tell me to be faster. Oh well as the great Ryu once said " I MUST TRAIN HARDER), but i'm still in the character experimenting phase. So far I like Strider the most. I try Dante but the amount of options and trying to remember what chains and what doesn't is really hard.

I thought it was kind of obtuse as well, but give it a few days to build in your muscle memory and it starts to click. I got the game early on Thursday and it all started to come together about a day or two ago.

Apologyman is using FB, Scamby is using Nemesis. Both are reasonably good with the characters right now. Angelic also plays FB.

I dont see whats obtuse about LP, LK, HP, HK for the magic series but ok

just think "up, down, up, down" on your buttons (assuming you are using LP, HP on top, LK, HK on bottom like most people)

so, what ultron or captain marvel do with those loops in the air, is not the same as thanos palm breaker loops correct?

those are fly / unfly, thanos is just dash in between?

I'm also having trouble with wave dashing. Not to say I was perfect with it in 3, but here I just can't do it well at all. Keep doing launcher instead of dashing again.

Thank you. Will check their twitch/twitter.

Anyone else have problems getting supers instead of a backwards wavedash? Not sure how to make the inputs smoother, I've tried canceling with both downback and f.back.

The reviews are also pretty much what we expected. Underwhelming roster, lackluster presentation, not enough content, no endings in Arcade, but great gameplay. We predicted most of this stuff.

Sometimes I wonder if Capcom expects this type of backlash and doesn't care. There's a disconnect somewhere.
