LEFT ALIVE - TGS 2017 Announcement Trailer

Gameplay is definitely early but looks promising

Visually it's pretty beautiful and it's definitely a game I've been wanting to play, I hope a good game is made out of this.

There's something off about the animation/tps gameplay that has me worried it's going to be a rigid and disappointing TPS. Some of the rolling -> ADS and movement did remind me a little bit of MGSV, so maybe they'll try going in that direction as far as controls go.

If everything is ironed out by launch I'm super in though.

I guess I'm not the only one who got some Fox Engine vibes from the tiny bit of footage. Something about the night scene reminded me of Ground Zeroes.

I am curious, is this the same game that's been rumored to be the Front Mission game that started development in 2015?

Chapter 3 looking good so far. Jokes aside, I got some MGSV vibes from it, and the setting is certainly interesting.

Around 2.5-3+ years given when its existence first leaked.

Did anything leak around that time aside from "front mission related project" because otherwise who knows how much 'this version' of the project has been in development.

Pretty sure there haven't been any leaks.

The TGS reveal pretty much came out of nowhere.

I absolutely hate it when japanese devs tease games like this. Showing like 3 seconds of rough looking gameplay and now we won't see the game for months but end up getting over hyped by famitsu articles.

I'm willing to give this game a chance but why waste such talent on a what probably might be at best a competent shooter instead of making an amazing strategy rpg game? Has Xcom 2 successes not shown that there is a market for that type of game?

xcom and front mission actually parallel quite a bit. Both had an action game reboot that tried to bring the series back from the dead that ended up failing. Xcom went back to it's roots with enemy unknown to critical acclaim...I feel like there's a lesson in this

This looks rough at best, and kinda terrible at worst. I was excited but the moment they cut to gameplay I became super disappointed.

One day they'll hire an actual Russian guy to make up non-campy city names, pick quotes and check wall signs so that Russian audience doesn't collectively cringe from 80s' tier pseudo cold war understanding of what Russia even looks like.

I don't understand. MGS came out in 2015. Where are all those TPSs from Japan since then? Why people pretend we get a lot of them? Shit even Resident Evil is no longer a TPS.

With the systematic Russian smearing campaign going on in western media, I don't expect that day to come any time soon.
