Sooooo Dave Meltzer said on the latest WOR that he didn't find Jinder's promo to be that racist

Alvarez also said that he didn't know if the crowds chanted "that's too far" because they found the promo racist or because they were making fun of Karate Kid, which is a "cult classic", and Meltzer then added that he thought "Karate Kid was before the age of most of the crowd"

Holy fucking shit, do these people even know where they live and what happens around them?

Honestly, fuck both of them.

Wrong thread fam. This is Popgaf.

Yep. Fuck em both. Never liked Alvarez.

What the fuck? Speechless.
Already said them man.

Bowie
Mercury
Marley
Prince
Michaels
MJ

I didn't like all their music. But I can't deny how all 6 shaped music.

Would add Tupac as well? Or maybe just behind them.
Definitely around there. Dude had the it factor.

That big 6 is of your era, they be a big six for the new generation. Like your big six missing jazz legend Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong or Elvis or rap icons of the 90s or people like Nina Simone and Marvin Gaye.

I've seen a few people trying to downplay Jinder's promo and honestly fuck them.

I said months ago that pushing a POC just so you can say you have a POC Champ is not only pointless and cynical but sets them backwards. Pushing an Indian guy for the sake of it isn't progressive and making him say racist shit about a Japanese guy is just offensive.

None of them are my era man. I am 22.

I would add Tupac, Biggie, Elvis, Gaye, Armstrong so big 11.

I was gonna say that I'm shocked that people here have good tastes in music until I saw that fucking spoiler. Fuck wrong with you? Biggie>Tupac

I'll never let Biggie win that feud. Pac forever.

Biggie didn't even dance for Digital Underground, that's a feather in Pac's hat. Do the humpty hump.

Tupac was a better actor than a rapper and that's a shoot.

Poetic Justice, Juice, Gridlock'd...Pac's the man

Daryl Hall shaped music more than a lot of those geeks

Well he's a legend, of course he did. But everyone had a hand.

Man, I could listen to Abandoned Luncheonette forever and a day.

That's y'all's mans though, huh?

I just thought Jinder was saying what the audience thought of Nak. It's the same shit he's been saying. I expected worse.

I like Biggie a lot more. In terms of music he was way above Pac. Pac's charisma got him to the top though.

Pac did so much beyond just the music. He acted. He could speak like hell. I could bring five segments off of MTV just of Pac speaking that were legendary moments. I cannot do the same with Biggie.

If you keep it strictly to music, then that's a lot more contentious. But beyond that? Pac > Biggie and it's a home run

To make a wrestling parallel;

Biggie was a guy who could work a really good match but couldn't cut a promo. Tupac was a guy who wasn't as good of a worker, but could cut a promo like no other and had a better look.

Tupac was the more complete talent

Meltzer said the "rook" line was racist, and that he's probably jaded over the rest of it because he heard so much more worse in the day.

Alvarez's thing was stupid, yes.

also michael mcdonald is the shit

I'm a big fan of Frank Farian. He truly was a hitmaker, he wrote so many real good songs.

Also was happy to see Cathy Dennis continued to work in music, but let her solo career go. She had some real talent.

To put it in movie terms, Tupac was Tom Hanks and Biggie was Robert De Niro. Tupac was the better star, Biggie was the better artist.

Data West

coaches in the WNBA
Ice Cube was better than both

better actor and rapper

That is a shit excuse though, it's unacceptable.

Being desensitized is one thing but finding that shit "not racist enough because I've seen worse" is stupid

Trespass is one of my favorite movies. Couldn't tell you how thrilled I was when it came out to see Cube and Ice-T butting heads. Great movie.

So what do you guys thinks aboit WWE thinking of doing tiered network prices?

I'm fine with it. More choice is good.

If I don't want to watch "indie trash" I don't have to pay for it.

Here's another logic fail in Meltz's argument; why the fuck do you have to be a certain age to remember a well known movie?

Did you warble, my little wren?
