Maybe Pudding is so reverent towards Lola because Lola took the blame for the failed Loki marriage (fitting the theory that Loki originally wanted Pudding, not Lola).

She's pretty and has the potential to unlock the powers of the 3-eyed clan. Which, if they really can help read poneglyphs, would make Pudding almost as valuable as Robin.

This arc is a fantastic setup for the battle against Kaido. How the heck are the Strawhats going to beat the "Strongest Creature in the World", if Luffy straight out loses fights against the subordinates of another Yonko?

Lola chose to go live a free life while Pudding was stuck not even allowed to change her hairstyle. I think it really is as simple as it sounds.

Reminding us of Dogtooth's bounty was a pretty effective way of upping the stakes I think. Seems like Luffy's gonna have to eat him after all.

Dope chapter. Their reactions to Pedro's death continues to lead me to believe... Well, y'all already know how I feel about whether he's alive or not. Carrot's face is sad as hell, Chopper looks the same when he cries, Brook is understandably sad due to hanging out with him the longest aside from Carrot, and Nami's face is pretty interesting, seeing as how she's trying to remain tough for her friends and hold back the tears.
Good thing we have Jinbe to snap them out of it.
Also I see Carrot's temporarily taking the role of being their scout... Interesting. ;D
I did not predict that Perospero would be utilized as a way to keep Big Mom on their trail. Hell, I didn't even think Big Mom would already immediately continue to chase after them. (Brief shoutout to her unsurprisingly tanking that Coup de Burst.) What was easily predicted is that Perospero would easily create a new hand, just like Aojiki did. Of course it'd work normally, but he did point out the weakness of it being weak to heat, which does suck.
Carrot's screentime post-Pedro's death continue to amuse me, you can see how she's kind of split between grief for Pedro's death, as well as feeling anger towards the person she undeniably hates the most right now. If there wasn't distance between them, she'd probably jump (pun intended) at the chance to enact revenge when nobody's looking.
That said, Oda's spending a lot of time focusing on her reaction to Perospero. I really dislike him right now for putting it in my head that he may actually present an opportunity for her to get to fight Perospero in some capacity. Because they clearly have some beef to settle here. I don't think it will happen, but still... (Especially not now, since Big Mom is like right there.)

Learning more about Pudding and Lola's relationship is always welcome. I like the revelation that Pudding is supposed to be the new Minister. Is that why we haven't seen a proper title box for her yet?

And if he does will he suffer any of Gear 4's "drawbacks" or any drawbacks at all from what Luffy has dealt with when ever he first reveals a new upgrade? It would be funny to see a mini Dogtooth running around.

Nah we're good, no different from Luffy still being made out of rubber underwater. Abilities in general still work unless it's specifically weak to water/saltwater, it's just that you drown if you're a DF user, if I recall correctly. Also we literally saw him cover the Thousand Sunny earlier.
