Still ain't offline for singleplayer, I wouldn't buy this even for $2.

The world shitiest DRM, that racks up your data charges and doesn't allow you play single player without a constant internet connection.

First Toadette in Captain Toad and Mario Run, then Pauline in SMO, now Daisy here.

Interesting how Nintendo seems to be taking what are usually just throwaway spinoff characters and actually giving them more significant roles.
I mean, it's totally a legitimate criticism of Nintendo that women are severely underrepresented in their games.

But they don't need to make up new characters just to balance things out. They already have plenty of female characters, they just need to stop relegating them to damsel-in-distress roles.

Granted, that's what Peach and now Daisy are in Mario Run (and I'm actually a little annoyed they're going back to the "Bowser kidnapped Peach!" story in Odyssey after they just made her one of the gang in 3D World), but making them playable after the fact is a step in the right direction. Now the cast stands at 3 guys, 3 girls and Yoshi who I've never thought of as having a gender (and given their egg-laying ability I always assumed was a girl).

I bought it day 1 and had a blast with it. I easily put more than 15 hours into this game and I don't play on mobile much at all. It was worth the 10$ for me.

With a substantial content addition and a 50% sale this is a no-brainer IMO. This game is a lot of fun.

Exactly the same here. Bought it Day 1 and loved it. I prefer the actual main game to Toad Rally so I’ll be all over this update.

All of Nintendo’s game releases are like this (Miitomo, Fire Emblem Heroes) and don’t expect it to change.

That reminds me. We’re almost in October and since releasing Fire Emblem Heroes on Feb 2nd there’s been no new Nintendo mobile games.

Animal Crossing is supposed to release before the end of the year.

I wonder if Nintendo will pull back on their mobile offering when they realize that apps won't have quite the same legs as their dedicated handheld/console offerings.

Well, if they do, it's only going to be premium games like Mario Run.
Fire Emblem Heroes seems to be doing more than ok.

Have they added an offline mode yet? Otherwise no thanks, even for 50% off.
I remember when it launched and some people argued it was in Nintendos best right and interest to do this shit on a 10$ app lmfao

Don't count on it, however much less development costs it takes on their mobile platform essentially gives them that much more extra revenue as a cushion for their main platform.

I think I'll pick it up at half off. I was going to get it initially but I lost interest by the time it came out on Android.

No, I still do. A crappy game on cellphone is still crappy on consoles, but I'd like to check it out. Just would prefer to spend my money in an environment I trust.

A touchscreen only Mario game thats made to be played with one hand, is just a waste of resources to port to Switch imo.

great news, this is actually my most played Android game. It was made with care, is easy to pick and play and is surprisingly addicting.

How much data can it possibly use?

Also are you not simply on wifi ay home and where its available as well.

Im sure this varies from place to place. I guess a lot of people live in a place where they often experience no internet on their phone? In which case i can see that be pretty annoying. However phones are pretty much just assumed to always be online in many places these days so i am not surprised a lot of phone games do this.

I wonder how dire Nintendo would be in the mobile space if it wasnt for FE Heroes.

I spent like 2 bucks on Miitomo and realized i wasted my time then played Mario Run briefly but didnt wanna pay 10 bucks for it.

is the sale ios only or android as well?

Daisy in a platformer again, playable for the first time in a Mario platformer, even though said platformer is a mobile auto-runner...

I think I'll be there for the sale.

Will Android have this sale as well?

What about Android though

Will buy it if the sale comes to android. And great news giving Daisy some spotlight.

Ah, so no word on Android.

Oh, I was considering buying this as my first cellphone game (that I spend money on). Guess it just won't be.

Wish Nintendo would port their cellphone stuff to their consoles...

Just checked the android app and the notifications say the price offer will be from 29 September to 12 October. UK and USA prices will be £/$4.99 but all other country prices are on this super mario run page.

Yes, also Android. Thanks jedmaxwell.

how do I buy this? I downloaded the app and played through some of the tutorials but since i saw and downloaded it in the app store it was advertised like any other app with in app purchases. Not an actual sold game

on ios if that makes a difference

Play till you defeat "Bowser".

Than the game tells you have to unlock the rest of the worlds with money and a purchase button shows up.

I actually really liked this game. It is a fun time waster. I'm looking forward to playing it a bit more.

Daisy is actually getting love outside of spinoffs finally and before Rosalina herself? Did world 8 just freeze over?

Cool! I'm actually shocked at this decision. Moreso because Daisy is in and Rosalina is nowhere to be seen! Wonder if Daisy will be in 3D World Remix too.

This is good. I haven't played the game in a long time, since I got all the coins in every level, so I'm all for this.

Is there any reasonable way to win at Toad Rally anymore? Early on you could count on other players being of varying skill levels, but now it seems they're all masters. You've got to rack up a lot of wins to unlock the extra characters. :(

Pick levels were dumb luck(someone getting stars all the time) is less likely.

Quick question, since the initial download is free, is the unlock purchase cross-platform account based? Meaning, can I pay for the unlock on my Android phone, and play the game on my iPad after syncing accounts?

Is there an app which offers that? But no, only progress gets transferred.

Wanted to get this when it released for the 9.99 but sat on it waiting to get enough Google bucks with the opinions app. Almost bought it but now I'll wait for the sale.

The price drop is when I finally buy it. I had fun with the demo, but didn't want to pay the asking price for an online-only game.

Fire Emblem has takes over my phone (As in no space left). I guess I can delete a few apps and give it a try, for 5 bucks its a no brainer.

Buying this now on Android, for sure! Been waiting for a sale I thought would never come.
