Forza 7 |OT| The 7 you've been waiting for!

Full disclosure, I love the Forza series but I am a casual player of it. I never go online. I use a decent amount of assists. I just really enjoy the game overall and have beaten all the SP campaigns over the years. It usually takes me months to do so but I eventually do. I actually was going to wait for the X to release to start playing, but I caved in.

So with that little disclaimer in mind, is getting good and perfect turns much more difficult in this latest game?

I almost always got at least a good turn in previous games. However I am hardly seeing any in this game. I think I have gotten maybe 3 perfect turns if that. I used to get them pretty frequently at least.

Granted I have only done the very first hatch back series in the Cup, and as I said I am a casual player, but it is not like I am brand new to the game or series.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and/or if Turn 10 has said anything about turns being harder to get this time around.
Certainly noticed that. I occasionally get good turns, and only once got a perfect turn. Because of that I always sell my Perfect Turn cards as I can't get them no matter how much I try. (If you put the braking and steering to Super Easy, you can observe how the AI gets them for you.)

Where are the hoonigan and F and F cars as they don't seem to show up in my garage, but the store says they are downloaded. Pc by the way

Maybe I am missing it but is there anyway to race with another person against the AI? When I create a private match, I don't see any option to add AI.

Found out the other night there is no option to add drivatars in private matches. I don't know how that passed. So we had long races with just 3 people on the track. Really hope they add that back in. Apparently folks over on reddit/fm.net are not happy about it, so the devs know it's an issue.

I'm not being overly dramatic when I say maple valley actually looked better in Forza Motorsport ONE, 14 years ago.

Beautiful photo mode pics, need moar.

Forza 1 always had that nice very faint bloom over the tops of trees when the skybox was visible, was nice and soft. I was going to setup my xbox and play it yesterday but ran out of free time to do so.

It is a bit more difficult to get good/perfect turns. I feel like you need to carry a bit more speed as compared to forza 6.

So I just realised there are 4 other Hoonigan cars I have yet to own. I have 3 already that are in my garage which I must have got downloaded when I started. Yet when I go to get the others (which all say FREE) I get a pop up with the Hoonigan Marketplace ad and £0.00 as if I'm supposed to buy it. And I can't get them. They're not in my garage and they still sit there saying FREE. Stupid, buggy game.

This is the problem.

Another thing that changed is they moved trees further away from the track (I guess because 2D trees look too ugly to be in your face like they were in FM4). You no longer get the feeling as if you are driving through the tree tunnel like you did in FM4. If you check video at 1:45 you can see what I mean. I loved that in FM4.

The Forza 4 version of the track is unquestionably the better version.

The track is way too wide now and 2D trees aside, the art direction on it has made it uglier. It used to have a small, country track feel--ala Summit Point--now it just feels like a completely generic circuit.

I just want you to know that I pretty much only browse this thread at this point to check to see if you and some others have posted any more pics.

Every time you post pics of these older racers specifically I get the warm and fuzzies.

Really wish I wasn't in the middle of a move and literally scraping pennies for the mortgage down payment so that I could enjoy this stuff in game with ya'll (missing out on Cuphead is hard enough). But on the up side, it's my first house purchase ever and a first for anyone on either side of our family for that matter so I'm kinda flying on a high regardless. Anyway, it'll probably be a couple months till I can loosen up and start spending for me again so please keep the pics coming in the meantime mate, it's much appreciated.

For the PC version, does toggling HDR still require you to enable HDR in Windows, like in the demo? Or is there an option available in game to easily enable it?

I always saw it as Forza's version of the Autumn Ring from GT.

What is weird, for me, I am getting more perfect and good in this game that in the past games. It could be that my new TV has 21ms input lag and my previous ones all were 32+, but been hitting a lot of perfect, which is not usual for me in these games.

I also did the Hatch series as my first. What did you think of the lighting/graphics of Sebring when it starts pitch black night time and slowly the sun starts to rise? I thought it looked amazing. I did it on the Xbox One S, but also downloaded on my PC, which I know it is not the norm, but I have had ZERO issues running on PC. Have it set at 4k with every possible setting on max and it has been smooth as butter with no issues. I think there was a little hick-up in a menu, but that is about it. I need to replay that Sebring race.

I really hope they add a few more tracks that have variable lighting/weather. Was playing Prague and did not like the lighting they choose, but then played on-line and it was a different lighting condition which I much preferred.

Yep, the few games I’ve tried on PC with HDR have made me toggle it in Windows first.

Stay strong. I can relate to your post 100%. Me and my wife moved from California 9 months ago to Idaho with the goal of buying our first house and we moved into a newly constructed home that we made some customizations (especially my upstairs bonus room/game room) about 3 weeks ago now. Have not been able to enjoy full gaming as of yet since there is so much to do with a new house....we have zero pictures up yet and today I barely started wiring my surround sound system in the game room....but have been able to play a little bit of Forza. When you get your home, it will be well worth the wait and I wish you luck with all it!

Does anyone know where I can view the replay that I "shared" in-game, outside of the game? I used to do upload studio on XB1, but I'm on PC now.

Titan X(p) can probably run this at 8k/60fps with nearly max settings, 1080Ti I think will have to drop some stuff. It isn't taxing on the GPU most of the time.

I have a Titan XP SLI set up paired with a I7-3930x clocked at 4.8. I have to try pushing it to 8k then to see how it runs.

The only reason I'm not trying 8k is because I don't think my monitor would do it justice. If I had a native 4k monitor then yeah, I would absolutely try 8k, but I'm still with a 1080p screen. 4k downsampled with MSAA is amazing already.

Playing on Xbox and game keeps crashing mid race, was on the last few laps of an endurance race. Hope this gets sorted asap

Thanks for the tip. I am going to try that with the AI just to see how they achieve them. As of right now it is kind of all I notice (meaning how I cannot get them). But that leads me to the next quote...

I actually believe you are 110% right as I no doubt noticed the times I did get a good turn it was when I kept my speed at a good pace. Interesting that is now what seems to be a large part of the criteria, although it does make sense. Previous games it just seemed to be about how well you followed the path of the turn itself. Now it appears it is not just following the path but you need to maintain speed while doing so. I just need to get used to it I suppose.

What is weird, for me, I am getting more perfect and good in this game that in the past games. It could be that my new TV has 21ms input lag and my previous ones all were 32+, but been hitting a lot of perfect, which is not usual for me in these games.

Interesting. Would you say you are maintaining your speed as discussed above? As I do think that is it.

And yeah, I really wanted to hold off on playing since I have a One X pre ordered. I just could not help myself. My wife had some work she needed to do today even though it was the weekend. I was not feeling playing Destiny 2 with my friends, so I just caved in and got it early. I always get the Ultimate Edition, so it was a no brainer since I had some time to play.

And yeah, that 3rd race in that first hatch back tournament was amazing with the starting at night time. I am not going to lie, at first I thought something may be fucked up but then I remember that was one of the new features. The visuals of that race were just fantastic. Honestly the visuals all around are even more amazing than usual, but I can say it is noticeable they have affected loading times. One of the biggest reasons I am now looking forward to the X is to get them back down to what I consider normal. They are definitely much longer on the S than they were in 6. Like much, much longer. Not the end of the world noticeable but noticeable nonetheless.

Still, Forza is the primary reason I own an Xbox when all is said and done. I enjoy the series that much. It is definitely why I decided to get an X. I cannot wait.

With that said I do have a gaming PC as well with a 980 Ti. Not sure how well it is going to handle the game itself but I plan on starting the download tonight before I go to bed and will be checking it out at some point during the week. Absolutely.

I may or may not have spent the last several hours with a certain truck running 30 second “races” on a certain airfield. Level 75, tier 11. Just got the achievement for getting 100 cars. Hey, it’s early access! And I’m a VIP after all!

I have a Titan Xp with an i7 6850K and I definitely can't do this. I get about 50-60 FPS depending on conditions. When tires emit smoke the FPS drops down to the 40's. Still it's impressive that this game runs at 8K as well as it does. Also, a 1080Ti is about as powerful as a Titan Xp when it comes to gaming.

Have you tried doing a full shutdown (after you've closed the game hold the Xbox button on the console for about 10 seconds)? This usually resolves the problems with crashing, stuttering, textures etc.

How does this compare to previous versions, time VS CR.

The payouts are pretty meagre without mod cards.

It seems about the same progression o me as 6. And mod cards are an easy buy to refill a bunch with several uses for 20k to 50k in credits (no real $ needed).

if you race a long race, which really is a normal race to me, then you make it back plus a very good return
