You're probably right, although there were tons of great horizon bundles in the first half of this year - why would people that didn't buy those buy this?

well at least we know GG is moving on to a new game. what are people expecting they do next? Killzone? Horizion2 or a new IP?
If Sony was smart it would be Horizon 2 as a PS5 launch game

Killzone is dead for the the foreseeable future. Its most assuredly going to be a sequel to Horizon.

I hate how the gray steel book was only available in the US if you bought the expensive collector's edition. That was the best cover art.

No, which is why this is launching in December.
Why are people complaining about the timing of this? The sooner they announce it the better for consumers. Now if they make more new content afterward and then sell a complete, complete edition next year, then you can complain.

I have to say, I've actively avoided purchasing Horizon because from every thread I've read in here, it seems like it would be a huge dissapointment since I've put many hours into BotW. PS4 is my main system but It's way too much to ignore those 'buyer beware' vibes.

There should be new machines if they want me to buy the DLC. I like the story, but combat was teh most important part for me.

Despite both being open world games, Horizon and Zelda have entirely different focuses and expecting one to be like the other is a fool's errand that is doomed from the start.
GAF is definitely my main stop for all things video games. There are a ton of games that meet with wide praise here.

For $50? That's a fantastic value, I'd say.
But I prefer the original retail cover art to the CE. It's greener, more vibrant and lush. Though I supposed the mountains in the back make a good cut-over to The Frozen Wilds.

Lol, I wouldnt go that far. Its (almost universal) high praise was mostly just drowned out by BotW, which you can still see evidence of in this very thread.
Too many games to play right now, but it's right up my alley!
That's what I'm saying, I'm having a difficult time seeing beyond the conception that this is a huge disappointment with a great photo mode.
