I'd want to leave too after Infinite. Sad to see though, the esports team at Capcom USA are good guys.
man i don't understand the combo system in this game. some characters seem like they were designed with it in mind while others barely can get anything out of it.

that was always going to happen even if the roster was 90 characters. It happens in every fighting game. Hell you say 10 to 11, we would be so lucky to see a third of the roster used regularly.

10 out of 30 is pretty good ratio for a fighter like Marvel.

Why not just have 2 characters then?
In fact, if you want perfect balance, there should be only 1 character and victory is determined solely by how well you execute the mechanics of this one character!

This. Expect them to play on the training stage as much as possible too because its usually the stage with a grid to help judge distances better and the least amount of stuff going on that can either cause framedrops, lag or distractions for the players.

Only once that I've seen on like the first day (where he got washed up because FChamp had been playing for some days already).
Those two seem way ahead of the pack right now though. Maybe Justin's up there but he's been ducking since apparently he also got the game early and didn't want to enter early stuff. Remains to be seen, though I expect him to be a problem in this game.

It takes time. Reality stone, gamora, and Ultron are just the easiest to learn and master.
You're seeing some diversity with rocket raccoon, space stone tech, nemesis, chrisg playing iron man, etc.
But characters like Arthur are good but they will take longer to master or have players who are really expert level with them.
And some like Chris and Spencer just seem like they need a buff.
for realsies tho, lets see:
Dante, Dormammu, Ultron, Gamora, Haggar, Nova, Captain Marvel are common, thats 7.
Zero, Nemesis, Rocket (sonicfox), Jedah, Strider, Thanos will continue to see play early on, thats 13 right there.

Firebrand is likely to rise in play as well. ChrisG won NWM with Iron Man.

Well when every action very character has can act like an assist, it's a wonder the game works as well as it does.
It's also probably at least part of the reason that the roster is a little smaller. Testing new characters in this game must be a huge pain in the ass.
Every move has to work as a tag out and behave correctly within the system or you get issues like this where the system can't handle all the different elements being managed at once.

There's like 18 active character you regularly see in SFV top 8 out of less than 30 characters and that's not counting single characters warriors like Kolin, Juri, Vega and even FANG who show up every now and then. 2v2 even have a chance of more active characters, complaints about 30 characters wouldn't be that loud if most of them were none MvC3 characters.

I can't take this shit about the game being dead.
They did the hard work, dlc characters and costumes are easy and are going to sell to the people who like this game.

None of that matters if the user base is too low to make up for the loss.
Not saying that's the case with this game, but it may be applicable and a possible outcome.
Arthur was at both NWM and SCR (grand finals).
Frank West is pretty bad in this game. I thought he would be good but then digging him into in MVCI... his chainsaws don't hit overhead. That's like 60% of what made him good in Marvel 3. Makes no sense to me since quite a few characters have instant overheads in this game and him not having them while leveled up his lame. Also Counter Switch breaks him as well.
There's definitely some dedicated Strange, Spencer, Chun players already.
Same with Thor. There's definitely some higher level Arthurs already, he's gonna be around for at least a bit.
Cap, Chris, Morrigan, Frank all seem pretty rare atm. Ryu as well. Honestly I'm seeing some decent character variety early on, sometimes I feel like these complaints come from people who barely watch tourneys, and they complain with something like Dorm/Dante's been on the stream for awhile, when it's the same player.

People are trying to play Morrigan like in Marvel 3 when she is more rushdown inclined. She is better than people think, she can open up anyone with some support.
I don't know where Cap will end up, looks like lower mid. They messed up not giving his angle down shield. I know Hawkeye performed well at the recent tomorrow but he has too many issues in the game overall to be competitive long term. I don't know where MMX stands, instinct says he is like around Arthur tier maybe a bit worse. Hulk is the worst of the big bodies and IM is the worst of the 8 way air dashers which means these characters will naturally be uncommon.

She gets a combo off of her random air charges too (the one like Storm's). I guess I'm just gonna have to find some cheap shit with a different team and run with it.
