But the best part of the Nomura games is the gameplay.
No one does Action RPG bosses quite like Nomura. Hell, even the current KH team doesn't seem to quite nail it. Not that their games are bad at all, but you can see a tiny difference in focus.
I must be in some crazy timeline if people want Nomura stories if they can only get one thing from him. I'd be fine with someone else writing the story, I'd be fine with someone else designing the characters (though I'd prefer to keep him on that, in order to have a consistent visual identity for his games), just give me boss fights like the ones in Kingdom Hearts II.
Final Fantasy XV: Turn off the Noctis.
I doubt he designed all the boss fights.
Nomura is going to deliver that much I believe, next year is just the start.
Ps: Keep Tabata away and his bland "blockbuster" style.
And it will all be Tabata's fault like always.I'd be real mad if Agni had to die for Tabata to make an unnecessary FFVII sequel
👿
fixed
He could right the countless wrongs of the decade though... And make TWEWY 2What's weird is there are a ton of games he's headed that have had smooth development and turned out great. It's just Versus, and maybe KH3, and maybe FFVIIr...yeah he's had a bad decade
He'll be forced to ship KH3 next year so that's one!Nomura just can't ship a game. What a legend
I doubt he designed all the boss fights.
Wait are people thinking that KHIII is gonna turn out bad or something?
Turn out bad/turn out at all.
I know Nomura has shipped games in the last decade but after v13 and VIIR it feels a bit like "Why can't things ever go smoothly"...like if v13 was as a result of mismanagement by SE higher ups transferring resources to XIII and later XIV etc it feels like VIIR was rushed into rather than planned out.
Although personally when he says "We've worked out the date when we will next reveal details" it feels oh so familiar. I don't think anyone is really expecting KH3 to be bad - it'll be a good game and a good KH game - but its just "When is it going to come out..."
Ah, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, one of the games I got my PS 3 over 10 years ago..
You bought a PS3 for a game that wasn't announced for it?
I did the same thing. Here's why.
I did the same thing. Here's why.
That's like buying a PS2 for an FFVIII remake because of a tech demo. Y'all are weird.
Why would you buy a PS3 over a tech demo? They did the same thing with VIII for the PS2.
I was always nervous of using CC2 for SEs biggest game. They're just not up to quality.
Totally disagree. CC2 has been a consistently fantastic developer for a very long time.

He seems to be a very hands on director whenever he's able to (so not in KH III's case). Probably not designed all of them himself, but his influence is clear when you consider no other game offers the same experience. Even other Square-Enix Action RPGs.
That's how SE operates, does a fancy trailer (everyone assumes the game has a year or two in dev) when in reality they haven't started lol they just announce shit early to drive up the console install base.
You mean when SE fucked up FF14? And took all the resources? Plus let's not forget the transition to HD wasn't kind to them last gen.No. That's how they used to operate untill Nomura screwed the pooch on VS. They now use the Live Letter/Active Time Report system.
Nomura doesn't deserve all the hate he is getting, but damn he should've been fired for his horrible management of the VS project, and he would have been if he was in any other industry.
*looks at Agni's Philosophy*There's final fantasy 6 tech demo for N64

I think after the ff7 tech demo they decided to stop giving people heart attacks And more false Hope.

Well at least the lead battle planner from KH is working on FF7. I'm sure he (or his team) had something to do with them too.
There's no way that Final Fantasy VIIr isn't the biggest (japanese) project of SE at the momentI don't think you can blame Nomura entirely for what happened with Versus. They had to halt development to work on the company's other projects. It always seemed like Versus was a mainline FF title without mainline title resources and focus.
Doesn't really seem like Square-Enix are focused on actually developing FFVII Remake either. Nomura stated that they need to hire more people. Meanwhile, they've got other teams working on FFXV multiplayer DLC... I don't understand. Maybe duckroll can explain that one to me.

I like all people acts like they even know wtf hapened with VS. Its like they worked for square and know the all the reasons and detail and blame it all on Nomura.
I prefer to wait 10 years than they put a mediocre director like tabata and butcher ff7 story. Tabata needs to stay the fuck away from final fantasy. He already proved the quality of his games with ff15 and type zero.

Didn't Versus mostly get screwed by everyone being put on XIII and then later on rebuilding XIV?
I wonder how different things could have been if FF14 launched good the first time. TBH I kinda think SE needed that slap in the face too but it seemed to become a massive, unexpected resource sink that effected everything they had planned.

The company knows that this game will sell more than XV sold or what XVI will sell

XIII doesn't count because...?It's impossible to tell if it will sell more than XVI will. We know absolutely nothing about that game.
Immensely looking forward to that announcement. We haven't had a mainline game announced that wasn't an MMO, sequel, remake or a rehash in over 10 years (!!).

LoL i forgot that one*looks at Agni's Philosophy*
