The curse of DCEU continues in JL.

The co-director and one of its stars are sexual predators. And the other co-star is a genocide sympathizer.

This made me laugh.

What does that mean?

This morning I saw someone post an old vid of Momoa doing a GOT panel with fellow cast members at a convention a few years back. During this, Momoa was asked a question along the lines of what his favorite part of the show was and he said it was raping beautiful women.

I can kinda get what he means by saying as a guy it may be fun to be around beautiful actresses, but goddamn that was a poor choice of words and definitely not something you say in public.

So yeah, if this vid begins circulating more if could give Momoa some heat, though certainly not along the lines of what Affleck has reportedly done.

Just saw that video of Affleck with that TV host... WTF!?

That kinda shit just boils my blood, she clearly wasn't enjoying that as much as her laughs tried to say otherwise. Jesus Christ.

edit: okay just read that it was supposedly a stunt? Yeah whatever... ugh

You should read more about that video before getting too upset. It was staged that way and everyone involved was on-board.

You don't believe it was a stunt?

To be honest i don't even really get why he would say that. I mean...

He was with Khaleesi most of the time and i don't recall any scenes where he had to act like he was raping someone. Some characters do rape in that show, but his character didn't. He wasn't even in the show for that long, only one season iirc.

woooooow. The fuck is wrong with that guy? Seriously. Why did he use that word? All he could have said was "I liked filming the sex scenes with the beautiful actresses", and the potential shit would have been avoided.

He raped Dany right in the beginning.

Isn't this the Hilarie Burton case?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsI-3QWwHaI Times have changed for the better a bit, considering how the producers of the show decided to frame this at the time. It's treated like a no big deal and maybe even bit funny. No wonder that people think it's okay to be a fucking creep when media portrays groping in this way. Not the soundtrack I would choose for sexual harassment.

Edit: Sorry if it was already posted, didn't notice on a quick glance.

And also to be clear, I'm absolutely not talking about how Hilarie herself is on that video. As she has said, she wasn't able to bring forth her true feelings and had to "laugh it off". She says that high five would be more preferable, that clearly isn't all she felt though. I brought this up to put some responsibility to mainstream media for the attitudes towards this stuff. This happened ages ago, it was on TV, but only now we are widely talking about it and he has apologized. This wasn't something that happened behind closed doors and was being covered up.

Well because then it's not a joke. He clearly said rape in a sarcastic sense, as in he knows the actions of his character were not good. It's a very insensitive joke, to be sure.

You think WB will be changing their marketing for the JL movie?

It's already too late with movie posters putting Batflick in the center.

I don't think Momoa should be lumped in with these other sacks of shit. Maybe its a joke he shouldn't have made but it is a joke. I doubt he thinks rape is ok.

Recent reports regarding Harvey Weinstein have spurred the New York Police Department to open a criminal investigation, Variety has confirmed.

The NYPD released the following statement: “Based on information referenced in published news reports the NYPD is conducting a review to determine if there are any additional complaints relating to the Harvey Weinstein matter. No filed complaints have been identified as of this time and as always, the NYPD encourages anyone who may have information pertaining to this matter to call the CrimeStoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.”

This follows several bombshell reports, starting with one in the New York Times on Oct. 5, which detailed decades of sexual harassment allegations. The situation escalated when the New Yorker published an expose on Tuesday in which alleged three accounts of sexual assault.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s office had previously investigated Weinstein in 2015 after Ambra Battilana Gutierrez went public with claims that the mogul had touched her breasts and put his hand up her skirt without her consent. The investigation went so far as to implement a sting operation that caught Weinstein on tape confessing to groping. The audio was not made public until it was obtained and published by the New Yorker. Manhattan District Attorney, Cyrus Vance, Jr. ultimately decided not to press charges, which a police source told the New Yorker was a mistake.

The New Yorker story included an allegation that Weinstein forced actress Lucia Stoller to perform oral sex on him at his Tribeca office in 2004. Under New York law, that allegation, if true, would be a criminal sexual act in the first degree, which does not have a statute of limitations. Such a crime would be a Class B felony, punishable by a term of 5 to 25 years in prison.

Obviously. Internet people whipped up in a frenzy right now. I wouldn't want to be a dude who's said or posted anything about anything right now.

That is not to discount the seriousness of the actual gropers and creepesr.

Oh come on guys that's not cool... Momoa jokes about his role in a tv show, not about real rape. It's so obvious it's just a bad joke.
