nah i'm not I get what you mean 100%, everyone is struggling, but the problem with him is always in the manner more than the results
kinda like how if we were 1-3 but looked good every game, the discourse would be very different. Galchenyuk is by far the worst forward on the team right now. Nobody can score that's for sure, but at least most of the other players are """"trying""""", or at least pretending to. I agree that guys like Pacioretty deserve to get some flack for (AGAIN) not showing up in October, but at least they look like he's pretending to give a shit and he backchecks here and there.
Just last game Galchenyuk turned the puck over like 5 times on the powerplay and didn't even bother trying to get the puck back, he just gives up instantly and stops skating or goes to the bench. His confidence is gone, regardless of the why and what happened in the past, it's his problem at this point and time and sadly his attitude makes him a liability for the team. The team would be better without him in the lineup as of right now. I just can't take this "yeah but give him another try" shit it's been 5 years of trying and failing ffs

At this point, the club should just trade him and salvage what trade value he still has. He's definitely not gonna get back to his old self by playing 4th line LW, so I don't know what they are thinking, terrible asset management.

No. But it isn't what the org is even expecting from him now. They know when he's engaged he's a very effective offensive talent. But obviously they need to see the same kind of effort in other areas of the game when the scoring isn't there. Demoting him is basically all you can do, and at least on the 4th line he won't burn you as badly.
Now having said that, because of his talent, Galch really just needs to put in a good period or two on the 4th line before Clode bumps him back up.

To my benefit I at least also have Verizon in my area offering FIOS, so comcast will usually give me what I want since I can threaten to switch.

Long term, on a playoff team, I don't think he is. Good on him for capitalizing the chances he's getting playing with great players, but at the end of the day he would be a great 3rd liner.
