RDR1 was my fav game of its gen. RDR2 looks like it is primed to achieve the same thing for me this gen. Sheeeeit!

Spring 2018 isn't too bad at all. I expect May 2018. RDR1 was May 2010. So like 8 months away.

RDR2 trailer didn't move me, but I'll play the hell out of it regardless. It's one of those games where I'd buy it without knowing anything about it.

Tim Horton's is disgusting. Had a pretty early morning, broke my own rule about going there because it was the only place open.

The lady making my english muffin let out this phlegmy cough into her arm (thankfully). Then they forgot that I'd ordered the 'meal', and rather than address it quietly, Phlegmla decided to start calling out the 17 year old cashier who messed up my order, in front of a fairly large group customers.

And of course, within the hour, my guts were twisting and churning.

Here's the Rangers' big big cut:

Ryan Graves, Vinny Lettieri, Boo Nieves, and Neal Pionk to the Hartford Wolf Pack. Nieves and Lettieri are honestly kind of surprises here. Nieves seemed like an obvious lock as our 5th center (and possibly 3rd/4th C if we decide to send Chytil back to the Czech Elite League after his 9 games). This might still be the plan, especially if they dump Desjardins, but we'll get to that...

Matt Puempel will be placed on waivers. Can't argue with this based on preseason.

Bobby Farnham has been released from his PTO. Good.

Lias Andersson has been returned to Frolunda. Probably the best decision for him long term.

Andrew Desjardins is still here. I knew it. I just knew it. As soon as AV said that his suspension put the team "in a real tough spot." He's AV's new Tanner Glass.

Paul Carey is also still with the team, which is a little bit of a surprise, but as preseason went on he became more and more noticeable and more and more of a candidate to stay. Even still, he was signed and brought here very specifically to make the Wolf Pack better, so the fact that he may make the team is somewhat stunning.

Steven Kampfer is also inexplicably still here after being clearly outplayed by Pionk (and possibly even Graves). This may be motivated by a fear of losing him on waivers, which is...what?

That means the Rangers as of right now are:

One of Paul Carey or Andew Desjardins is making the opening night roster, barring a trade. This is INSANE. If it's Desjardins I'm going to be absolutely livid.


Filip Chytil has also won the Rangers' Lars-Erik Sjoberg Award, given every year to the best rookie at training camp as selected by the media. It's clear he has made the opening night lineup.


EDIT: Updated the lines and pairings to what they're running in practice today.

On my 2nd play through I could see where the slog criticism comes from. Like 90% of the missions leading up to the siege of that fort were preparation and mundane shit. It was those weirdos peddling you for favours.

those question mark missions were really good tho.

The Stranger missions are good-to-great in most Rockstar games, but the ones in RDR were the best by far. Great change of pace and tone.

Starting to wonder if the Preds will put Bonino on IR alongside Ellis and run with Kamenev as 2C on opening night. Gaudreau goes back to Milwaukee and the Preds have their 23-man roster.

Mexico really drags because they force both sides of the campaign and you get retreads in missions. There are some really fuckin good missions in Mexico tho, like charging up the Mesa in the middle of a massive thunderstorm and downpour.

The weird west missions though are the best: well dressed man, flowers for the lady, glider dude....loved it.



Edit: Tge zombie DLC was really great too
